1850s archipelago homestead on Trännö

You'll be staying at Edsängen, an archipelago homestead from the 1850s on the car-free island of Trännö. The owners have carefully renovated the house in a turn-of-the-century style, featuring a glass veranda and a preserved tiled stove. At the same time, it's equipped to modern standards, including a wooden bathtub and a well-equipped kitchen. The ocean view stretches across the entire plot, where lilacs, hollyhocks and roses bloom. Inside, turn-of-the-century charm meets modern comfort. Beadboard panelling and the old pipe stove lend character to the rooms. Upstairs, you’ll find lovely bedrooms, and the bathroom features a wooden bathtub where you can relax after a day in the archipelago.



The property offers ocean views in several directions and sits beautifully next to farmland. In the morning, it’s wonderful to enjoy coffee at the boathouse, where the sun shines from sunrise onward. In the evening, you can watch the sunset over Trännöfjärden from the swimming cliffs, just a 2–3-minute walk away.



The St. Anna archipelago is one of Sweden’s most beautiful, with small islands perfect for kayaking. Sparse boat traffic and relatively undeveloped nature offer you a peaceful adventure. You have your own island, Järnkulla, to explore. Take a walk along the 4-km-long path across Trännö or keep an eye out for sea eagles, roe deer and hares. Please note that the house is located on an island with no public transport; the hosts'll arrange a boat ride out to the island by arrangement.
