Fabulous Location for a Family Reunion

We just spent five days at Ben's house in Somerset and had a magnificent time celebrating my mother's 85th birthday. We were a group of 12 of all ages coming from different countries and the house fit us perfectly with everyone having their own rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable bedding and towels for all. There were perfect gathering spaces (veranda, indoor dining, outdoor dining and living room) for every type of weather and activity and we had room to be together and also to read and relax on our own. We had planned on eating out more but the house and kitchen was so perfect that we self catered every dinner from the grocery store just down the road. Two fridges and dishwashers, tons of cutlery and glassware and a bbq/stove. The house has tons of Bermudian character and a beautiful garden- even down to nasturtiums to top off our salads! The list of recommendations from the house worked out great for our group (Mona Lisa Boat Charters, A Transportation, Oleader Rentals) and made our experience seamless. Although not on the water it felt like we had a private beach less than five minutes away (Cambridge Beach) that was perfect for swimming, sunsets and late night swims. Thank you for helping make our gathering so perfect!

Chock full of character

We had a terrific stay at Cambridge House and highly recommend it for large groups. The house easily accomodated our party of 13 with plentiful bedrooms, bathrooms, and indoor & outdoor living spaces. The house and property has tons of character and personality with lots of little surpirses here and there.The location close to Cambridge Beach resort was terrific.

Adult Sibling Gathering

Relaxing and lush oasis easily accessible to the island bus route. Host very responsive to all our needs. Full grocery store in easy walking distance. The area beach was close, inviting and private. Highly recommend for large gathering.

Relaxing Summer Getaway

Our family group of 13 had a wonderful week at Cambridge House. When we weren't out exploring the island or relaxing at the very close-by beautiful beach next door, we spent lots of time together on the large veranda, dining, playing games, and catching up. The grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained - we marveled at the night-blooming cereus and enjoyed watching the chickens wander about the yard. The house was clean, spacious, and well stocked. The owner was both attentive and helpful. All in all, a wonderful week in paradise.

Perfect Family Beach Stay

Three generations (including grandchildren from 7 months to 4 years) enjoyed a week of fun in the sun. Ben was very accommodating and gave great recommendations for boat excursions, rentals for baby equipment, and local markets and restaurants. The short walk to the beautiful beach was perfect for all ages. The front porch was a central hub for relaxing, playing and meals. We would highly recommend this location.

Newport Bermuda race

We had a fabulous stay at this property. We were a large party of sailors and spouses. Cooked dinner every night at the house for 20+ guests. There was plenty of room for everyone and we thoroughly enjoyed the front porch! The beach was incredible, with beach bar and all! Would be a great property for a large family!

50th anniversary family celebration

50 years ago, we honeymooned in Bermuda and fell in love with the island. We wanted to celebrate with our children and grandchildren there to provide them with an opportunity to experience the beauty and magic of Bermuda. The property accommodations provided the 13 of us the ability to be comfortable and have sufficient space to make this goal possible. The ability to walk within minutes to beautiful Cambridge beaches, public transportation to easily get to the Dockyard and ferries to all points on the island. The porch was the perfect spot for our family dinners and recapping our activities of the day. Everyone was sad to have the beautiful week to wind to an end. Our children are already discussing about future plans to return and about the beautiful memories that they made over the last week!

Great location for friends and family to gather.

I organized an impromptu gathering for my wife's big birthday with friends and family coming from all over. Bermuda is a great location for this, lots of direct flights and generally perfect weather and great beaches. This property was perfect for us, gave us the elbow room to spread out and a great porch to hang out. We booked Crown Point Concierge to manage our logistics like airport transfers and tours, boat tour and private chef for our stay. I can't say enough amazing things about how friendly and accommodating everyone was from both the property and the Concierge team. Truly a great stay.

Ben the owner is wonderful. He went out of his way to help us any way he could. Gave great tips before our trip and even took us to the grocery store in his car so we could do the initial shopping order. He also even offered to take us again midweek. When our flight got cancelled due to weather he let us come back to the house for another night! Really great property manager. The house is big and most of the bathrooms have been updated. The big table on the porch is where we ate every meal. A quick walk to the beach was easy and the restaurant next store was great too. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful Family Reunion & 80th Birthday Celabration

Ben and his team allowed us to leave our bags early so we could enjoy the nearby beach prior to checkin. Great house that accommodated all 10 of us with separate bedrooms and baths. Comfortable large kitchen and seating areas inside and out worked very well family gathering and birthday party. He made our stay very enjoyable by providing fresh water and responding to our needs with recommendations of island services and activities for the entire family. Very convenient location with close by grocery store, bus and the harbor for boat charter. Great place to stay.

Best Holiday Ever

The property was even better than it looked and in a great location. Ben was brilliant, very welcoming and went above and beyond to help us. We had a mixed group of friends and my parents (age range 50 -75) but it was all perfect. House is very spacious, well appointed and its easy to get around and the beach is literally just out the back of the property. Couldn't have asked for a better place and will definitely be back. All 12 people from the party are looking to return! Fabulous!

Family wedding

The house was an excellent location for a family wedding at Cambridge beaches resort. The house accommodated all 15 people ranging in age from 3 -84. The steps leading down into the lower rooms were steep and care had to be taken. The house was super and had lots of character. And the Comunications with the owner was great and all the questions we had were answered quickly and fully. The grounds were extensive with coconut trees and bananas with birds visiting constantly.

Very enjoyable stay

We had a family gathering with all ages present at Ben’s property. He was very helpful in many ways both before we arrived and when we were staying at the cottage. The property is very spacious and is ideally located for the supermarket and the really great beach a short walk away through the garden. The outside terrace is a great place to sit and relax especially when it was hot and humid. Some maintenance is required to the property and Ben has this on his radar.

Wonderful house for a large group

Our family of three generations ranging from 73 to 7 years had a wonderful stay at this lovely, historic house. We were able to spread out throughout the large house such that everyone was able to have his/ her private space. The beach behind the house was perfect for the young children, the water was so clear and calm. It was extremely convenient to be able to use restaurant/bar of the nearby resort for those time when we did not want to cook. The local supermarket was easily walkable. The owner Ben was extremely helpful during the reservation process and very accommodating with the changes we had to make. We would absolutely recommend this lovely spot for a large gathering.

Great for a family get together

This property worked very well for our family vacation. There was plenty of space and it was well equipped for all age groups. The front porch eating space was our favorite. Ben's recommendations and help was spot on and much appreciated. My only criticism was that there was an "extra person" charge shown at the very bottom of the listing. As the booking person, I wish this had been more evident in the listing information. Ben was honest when asked what the additional charges were for, but I had to ask.
