"I booked this apartment because the description said it was within walking distance of Sandwich town centre, and the map that was displayed prior to booking indicated it was located off Moat Sole in Sandwich town centre. It was only after I had gone through the booking process for what was a seriously expensive booking, a new address was provided for the property approx 1.6 miles away in Woodnesborough! I have restricted mobility and needed to be closer to the town so I asked if I could cancel....

"Loved this no frills historic hotel. No fuss - just texted me door code to the room, which was all in perfect order. The hotel is just opposite Deal's beautiful beach - if you get a sea view room you'll catch the sunrise. It's not a luxury hotel! - but was functional, clean and a great option for a weekend at a festival in neighbouring town Margate. "We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. "Although the accommodation is small it has everything you need and plenty of storage. We only used the kettle and toaster in the kitchenette but there was a hot plate and microwave too so we could have cooked if we wanted. The garden is a lovely place to sit and hidden from the road (cul de sac) by bushes.
