The entire property was beautiful and very peaceful! One of the most well stocked kitchens of any where we have stayed. Lots of great fishing as well!

The property has a well-stocked and spacious kitchen. The surroundings are peaceful and great for those who enjoy the outdoors as we do. The layout is perfect for multiple families due to the separation of sleeping spaces with a large common space between. The beds were very comfortable.

Absolutely loved this listing. It was perfect for our group. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, the house was very clean, and the property exactly had described. We would love to come back, we didn’t want to leave!

Great time!

Very peaceful and beautiful property, we had a great time just relaxing and enjoying the river and the kids had a blast fishing in the pond!

My second time renting this house. The accommodations are lovely and suited our family. We got to spend an evening around the outdoor fire pit and the weather was perfect for us to enjoy our Thanksgiving meal at the large table on the enclosed deck. I highly recommend the River Front House for a secluded get-away.

Rustic with a classy twist

The beauty of the river and the cypress trees supersedes the funky convenience of the hunting lodge/luxury accommodations, but the beds were so comfortable, the kitchen so well- equipped that it’s difficult to select one “best thing”.

This house is amazing...if you are looking for a place to sit back, truly relax and enjoy time with friends/family...this is it! My 13 year old son said he wants to go back every year for his birthday. The space is beautiful, the view is even better, the firepit area is perfect and the ability to fish/kayak/canoe is all you need! We want to go back when we can tube down the river in the summer! This is a nature lover/outdoor lover paradise!

Absolutely the best hidden spot. We loved the location, the property and we even got to bring our fur baby’s. The owner messaged us and told us that we could even check in early. No complaints

It would have been helpful to have a better description of the detachment of the bedrooms of this property. Not as family friendly as I would have hoped.Property looked as if it had not been used in some time. So there was a wasp nest that we had to deal with (after our toddler was stung) screened in porch was not cleaned for our stay either.It had AC and beds to sleep on so it suited our needs. Pictures were not true to actuality.Host was very responsive and property is very quote and peaceful

Lazy days on the Edisto River

We had 5 incredible days. The accommodations were perfect. We fished, boated, and floated the river. Dustin was an excellent host and was very quick to get back to us anytime we had a question.

MCAS Beaufort Airshow/Anniversary weekend 5 Star getaway

Perfect location for privacy, kayaking and fishing. Great location for nature lovers. Brought groceries for all meals and snacks as there is no shopping close by. Visited 2 State Parks close by- Givhan's Ferry and Colleton State Park and DO NOT MISS Bee City Zoo. It is phenomenal. We would definitely stay here again and again.

River Vibes

This was our second stay here. Our family enjoys this house and the location. There is room for everyone. The only downside was the bunkroom can get a little warm. But we still give it a 5!

Our family enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing visit to the Edisto River and loved staying in your house! The location on the river was amazing, and we appreciated all of the boating equipment to use during our stay. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen and were happy with all of the kitchen supplies we needed. My college-age son had a blast fishing and canoeing in the area and caught plenty of catfish to cook a meal for us one night. Yum! We will be back!

Vacation stay

Our stay was good. Very rustic. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, cooking pots/pans, utensils and other items (toaster, blender, coffee, etc.). The air conditioner had a hard time keeping the humidity out but was part of the rustic property. Sitting on the porch was nice and the view of the river was great. We enjoyed our stay.

Great getaway

The property and host are great! The host was very responsive and offered plenty of recommendations for activities etc. The layout of the house is very unique and the giant screened-in porch being central is the perfect hang out spot. We spent a lot of time on kayaks and canoes provided going just up the river to a protected cove. Perfect for kids. Would definitely recommend to anyone and we hope to be back.

Perfect for family time

The Sanctuary on the Edisto is a beautiful spot for a family vacation. Best kitchen ever! Huge and well equipped. Big comfy screened porch! The fire pit is perfect with seating for a crowd. Big, well kept yard including the very well tended chicken coop. Everything worked, everything is spotlessly clean. We had a terrific stay.

Peace and quiet

The house was just what we needed and the screened in porch was amazing. We wanted a place away from everything and we found it here! We fished, grilled, fire pit, stargazing, and best of all we just got to enjoy each other's company. The kitchen had everything we needed with alot of extras. The 3 main rooms gave everyone there own privacy. We will be back soon. The description and pictures on the listing are just how it is when you see it in person. That's one thing we always worry about.

Awesome River Property!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. It was an amazing experience which the entire family enjoyed. This is right on the river in the middle of a quiet remote area. The setup is unique with the house built around a screened in porch to enjoy the nature setting. The main house is rustic but updated and a great gathering spot. Tons of space inside, outside, and on the property. We enjoyed kayaking in the pond and on the river. The kids loved frisbee in the yard, cornhole, fire pit, and foosball on the porch. There are chickens and the owner brought us fresh eggs! We thoroughly enjoyed the week we stayed and left very refreshed and relaxed.
