Our host Mariah was excellent. She was quickly responsive to all inquiries. Her info sheet about the condo, resort, San Pedro, local activities and restaurants was the best and a model for other VRBO hosts. Fabulous views. The 130 foot pools are lap swimmers heaven. Kitchen is very well stocked and equipped for cooking one’s meals. Daily housekeeping is a treat. Lovely water and sunset views from the balcony. While the listing says there is a washer and dryer they are in fact locked so laundry is done housekeeping. Overall one of the best condos we’ve stayed in for the price.

Hands down the best stay ever in San Pedro. What i lives most is house keeping being able to do laundry for us every day! The home has everything you need and very comfortable. Mariah is also very responsive i would definitely come stay here if i came back to San Pedro. Also make sure you lock your golf carts and dont leave anything in it. It will get stolen.

Our first trip to San Pedro was a wonderful experience. Mariah is an excellent host providing info, suggestions and was quick replying to messages. Her condo has everything including all the kitchen essentials. Prior to arriving we had the Sunset Caribe concierge booked our flight with Maya Air and rented a golf cart with them. The staff is friendly and attentive. We enjoyed access to the Grande Caribe where the beach loungers and kayaks are. The locals are so friendly, lots of grocery stores, restaurants, bars and little shops. We especially enjoyed the farmer market stands where veggies and fruit are fresh. Also the lobster we bought from the fisherman at the docks. We will definitely return to Ambergris Caye.

Pros: Mariah was very communicative from the start. Check in was easy and the unit was exactly as described. Sunset Caribe is on the bay side slightly north of town which was convenient for us to be in a nice place but a little out of the crowds. The bar staff was amazing allowing us to turn on the tvs to watch sports while enjoying the sunset views. We ate at Rain across the street (part of the Caribe family) and it was delicious! The market in Caribeville is very convenient, yet overpriced rather than going down the street to a bigger market. Cons: I will say that renting the golf cart and arranging the flights and car transfer was more expensive through the concierge rather than doing it ourselves. Also, the golf carts seemed to be a little lower quality versus some of the others we saw. The roads are very rough so bottom of the barrel golf carts vs golf carts with larger tires and shocks would go a long way. We would definitely stay with Mariah again, but will rent a golf cart from an independent company close to the airport and transport ourselves saving about a 100 from our estimate. Also please make note that although we brought and purchased more/different bug spray, my husband and myself both got hundreds of some kind of bites. I don’t think this was necessarily a location issue but the island as a whole, so come prepared.

Ambergris Caye Dive Trip 2025

The trip was awesome! We loved the condo and property. Our only complaint is the wind on the island was bad so we didn’t get to scuba dive as much as planned! Sunset Caribe is great and I would highly recommend it!

Beautiful

The condo was very beautiful and clean. The view from the 5th floor balcony is one of a kind. The pool and pool bar are also great. I would recommend staying in this condo if you are booking a trip to San Pedro.

San Pedro's Island Retreat

Wow where do I start? From the minute I booked the host was more than amazing. She shared many tips for us to make the most perfect vacation time in San Pedro which included grocery stores to shop, favorite restaurants, and wonderful excursions. This was extremely helpful and made everything smooth and relaxing. She checked in on us throughout to ensure all was going well and shared events happening on the property which we did and was extremely fun and delicious. The condo was as described. It was the perfect accommodations for our stay. Great balcony for sunsets and wonderful pools, bars, and lounging areas. We had access to Grand Caribe Resort as well, which had amazing pools and bars too. We were able to take out the resort kayacks and paddleboard to explore the reef. Special shout out to our housekeeping staff (Nataly and her partner) who went above and beyond to ensure our condo was clean and fresh. They happily assisted us with what we needed. We greatly appreciated their hard work and service! The resort was a perfect location between the town and north attractions such as Secret Beach and Moon bar. I would definately book this condo for future visits! One of the more impressive hosts I have had in my years traveling and renting condos.

Honeymoon Surprise

We gifted our daughter and new husband their honeymoon I chose this property for the close proximity to places and the wonderful amenities they offered. One of the Best Vacations!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mariah's property in sunset caribe. She was very attentive even though she had a concierge service at the property. What we loved most is the convenient location to so many popular things, like restaurants and grocery shopping. We loved that it had 2 great pools and the hot tub on the lagoon. It was really nice when it rained one day that we could order room service that was provided by Rain the local restaurant. Mariah provided a list of the most comprehensive list of places to go and things to do that I have EVER seen in a short term rental. Having the concierge to arrange your flight and transportation from belize city to san pedro was amazing and they even offer golf cart rentals onsite. I might want to try the grande caribe next time which is a sister property only because we have considered buying in a resort property and belize checked off all of our boxes. I would 100% recommend Mariah and Sunset Caribe.

Comfy condo with amazing view

The condo is very clean with everything anyone could need. The onsite staff is very accommodating and communication with Mariah was prompt and helpful. The condo is centrally located to great restaurants. We appreciated being able to book a snorkel tour with pick up at the dock across the street and booking a golf cart through Sunset Caribe was convenient. Don’t hesitate to book this condo for your stay on San Pedro!

Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was our first time to Belize and hopefully not our last. The property is even better than advertised. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. Mariah was the best in sending recommendations and a ton of information about where to go and what to see--it was immensely helpful. Loved our time and would definitely stay at Sunset Caribe again.

LOVERS NEST

The most accurate title I can think of for this suite. Pictures, description and location are all spot on for this listing. As a frequent visitor to San Pedro this place suited my needs to a tee just a few mishaps with electronics and check-in process but otherwise I give this place a "must try" rating. Although it was cold the week I visited but I'm sure the pool layout is very conducive in the right weather... Great Place! MH

We had a five star stay at the condo. It is everything that it’s promised to be. There are so many restaurants that are close and so good and it was nice to be out of town, but close enough to take a golf cart in if you wanted to. Heading down to the truckstop for trivia, live music, and movie night was so close and so fun! On the other side of the road, there is a walking path all along the beach that we didn’t realize until almost our last day. It was wonderful to go for morning walks and look out at the gorgeous water. The Condo itself was clean, Well stocked and has a very comfortable bed, the patio is fun to read a book, look at the amazing view, or watch the folks down at the pool. We would absolutely go back and stay there! Mariah was wonderful to work with and very responsive. Thank you for a great stay!

The BEST Vacation!

This was my husband's and I first time to Belize. Mariah was so communicative from the very beginning!! As soon as I booked, I received and email. I asked plenty of questions and Mariah answered all of them and made me feel at ease for my first trip to Belize. When we got to Belize, everything was as she described, down to a "T"... when we got into the airport, the duty free items, the other plane we were getting on and how to get to that, the taxi waiting for us when we arrived on the island, the check in, getting our golf cart, everything was seamless!! The condo was PERFECT and EXACTLY as described and shown in pictures. Funny, I was more concerned about what was in the kitchen so that I could cook as well as bake my husband a cake for his birthday. Mariah assured me that everything was there that I needed. She was absolutely right. I have never seen a condo that has everything you could need as if you were in your own kitchen (all the bakeware you need, pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, containers for left overs, etc). I really did feel like I was in my kitchen at home. In fact, the entire place felt like we were at home. This condo has consistent 5 stars for a reason! If/when we come back, we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you, Mariah, for making our stay comfortable and worry free!!
