We had an excellent stay and this home was truly perfect for our group of 9 (two families). The two-story layout was ideal: parents took the two bedrooms upstairs, and our 20-somethings had the three bedrooms downstairs—everyone had their own space and it never felt crowded. Beds were all very comfortable and we all slept great.We loved having both a full kitchen upstairs and a kitchenette downstairs. We cooked breakfast each morning and a couple of dinners and everything we needed was there. The pool was a huge plus (the beach area isn’t really a lounging beach), and we enjoyed the hammocks on the dock. The kayaks and paddleboard were an awesome bonus and got used more than once. And a big convenience: both excursions we booked picked us up right at the home’s private dock.The absolute best part, though, was Ester and Anton. Ester went above and beyond helping us book excursions and pointing us to great places to eat and shop. Anton was there daily helping keep the bugs at bay, and when a picnic table bench broke, he had it fixed within a few hours.Beds were comfortable, towels were plentiful (bath and beach), and the washer/dryer made it easy to keep up with beach towels during the week. The home feels private and quiet, but it’s still only about a 20-minute ride into town, with a couple restaurant options close by. Stax Bar became a repeat nightcap spot and is within walking distance.Highly recommend. Casa Amarillo made our trip easy, comfortable, and memorable!

Overall our stay was fantastic. It’s a typical beach home - there will be a bit of sand, weathered wood, and a bit of rust on metal objects, but all in all a great house. It’s exactly what I expected based on similar beach homes I’ve been to. Most of the beds are very comfortable, we found one that was pretty firm, but no complaints. Plenty of kitchen utensils, etc. there is an outside fridge near pool, and someone comes by quite a bit to rake and clean the sandy area. Other than a small hiccup on confusion regarding golf carts at our arrival (resolved quickly) everything was great. Ester is there to help and she will do what she can to help you have a great trip - easy communication via WhatsApp. I will say on location that there is a pretty long golf cart ride to town on what can be a very bumpy gravel road - probably 20 min. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and small markets nearby to meet your needs though if you don’t want to travel all the way to town. The plus side of being 20 min out is much less traffic. We went to town almost everyday so the road didn’t bother us much, we got used to it. The water is very shallow off the dock, not meant as a swimming area. Stick to the pool for that. Our tour guides were able to get their boats to the dock to pick us up though. Also, plenty of resorts and bars nearby that you can use their area to access the ocean if that’s what you are looking for. I would rent this house again without concern.

Casa Amarillo is perfect for up to 5 couples! The house was clean, the two kitchens make it very convenient and the pool was very clean as they stopped by almost every morning to clean it! Ester couldn’t have made our trip any smoother. She answered all questions, booked our flight from Belize City to Ambergris Caye and our shuttles to the house. Super host, great home and Belize is amazing!

What can you say about the most wonderful place. I have never stayed somewhere that was so attentive to everything, always willing to help and the place is so well kept! We love Ms.Ester and all the help!

Great house!

We loved the location (out of town and quiet snd clean) and the house and grounds were well kept and lovely. The pool, private dock, and coconut trees were our favorite. The AC was strong and helped us sleep well. The caretakers were super friendly and attentive. Would def stay again!

Perfection in Paradise

We had 7 adults and two kids under 7. The place worked out perfectly for our group, we caught fish right off the dock, having a private pool worked out great. It is a bit of a ride to town on dirt roads, but well worth it for the peace and quiet we enjoyed at the property. Very family friendly, management staff are great!!! We will be back.

Beautiful Stay

We had a great few days on the island with a group of 10 adults. Enjoyed the location of the house being close enough if we wanted to go into town but also far enough away that is was quite. The house was clean and big enough for all to enjoy. The pool area, patio, and dock were all nice spaces to sit and enjoy the views. Would recommend renting golf carts to get around.The team was responsive to our requests and made sure we had a great stay.

Amazing area with lots to do

This property gave me all that I asked for and more. We only felt the need to leave this property to explore as we had access to the amazing pool, the ocean, tandem kayaks, and volleyball, making us perfectly content to stay at the property. In the evening, we played games that were provided and sat around the table telling stories. This property was amazing and Ester was so helpful! We loved our stay.

Island living

You'll get a true taste of Belizean life in this property. The location works great if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro, it's about a 20 minute golf cart ride to the center of town. There are some good restuarant options nearby, don't miss the Drink & Drive, it's fun! We had limited cooking opportunities in the kitchens, as it was not as fully stocked of a kitchen to cook as we are used to. The appliances (dishwaser, stove, washer/dryer, coffee maker) are all a bit dated, but mostly operational once you know what to do. AC works great which is critical! Pool and dock were fantastic, our crew did lots of great fishing off the dock at all hours of the day. Thank you to Ester who was a fantastic concierge for all of our many questions and needs!

Never Disappoints

This was our second time staying at this property and everything went very well. We enjoyed our first trip enough to book a return several years later. Once again it met our expectations for a large group and we never felt in each others way. The management company had the home provisioned as we requested and everything else within the property functioned as expected. We will return again.

Multi family perfection

We had such a blast at casa Amarillo. It’s a great space w a chill vibe. Ester is perfection she is quick to respond and she is like a magician and was able to get us into restaurants, on boats and riding in golf carts. Her efficient capabilities made the trip amazing. We loved the island. Great meals at Hungry grouper, blue water grill, and Maxie’s. We adored the Truck Stop and blue bayou!! Hire a boat to take you to secret beach, way better than driving.

Multi-Generational Family Vacation to San Pedro

We had a truly amazing stay at Casa Amarillo! All of the staff at Pelican (Ester in particular) were knowledgeable and exceedingly helpful. They arranged everything for us-flights to/from the island, golf cart rental, a private chef, and excursions-we just had to show up and enjoy our time. The property was beautiful, as advertised. We spent our afternoons in the private pool. Cesar, the groundskeeper, was attentive and even sprayed for mosquitoes for us when we asked. San Pedro was a fun town to explore, with lots of unique dining options. We did a private snorkel/fishing charter to Hol Chan and the guys took a second fishing charter that was beyond successful! We took our catch to Margie and Kenny's Hangout, where they turned it into a personal dinner for our family. Mariceli cooked 3 amazing meals for us-we'd highly recommend her!

Loved this property! The outdoor space is amazing and we actually liked that it was in a quieter neighborhood and outside of town a bit. Ester was extremely helpful and very responsive. Grounds keeper visited daily and maintained outdoor space and pool. We were pleasantly surprised by how large and deep the pool is, not sure many houses have a private pool this size. Our teenage boys enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught some awesome fish - they even snorkeled a bit off the dock. Favorite restaurants were Blue Water Grill, Hidden Treasure, Coolbeans (breakfast), The Baker (breakfast) Elvi’s, Someplace South - honestly never had a bad meal! Loved the fruit and veggie stands and we found a few stands that had fresh salsa and guacamole-yum! Hol Chan and shark alley were awesome and a must do! Belize is fantastic and we will definitely return!

Amazing Vacation!

Casa Amarillo was perfect for our needs! The house has plenty of space to spread out. We pretty much lived near the pool under the palapa. The dock was so nice to have for sunrises, sunsets, excursion pick-ups, etc. The location of the house was great. It was far enough away to be quiet and secluded. However, within a few minute drive, you start to reach restaurants and bars. Downtown took 15-20 minutes. My husband and I were there for two weeks. Some friends joined for most of the stay while others visited the first week and a second set of friends the next week. Despite the shift change, Ester was so patient and accommodating. She was super helpful with everything from flights to reservations to recommendations. We are so thankful for Ester and the rest of the teams help. Belize did not disappoint and we'll absolutely be back! We wouldn't hesitate to rent Casa Amarillo again.

Amazing place, will be back!

The place is absolutely amazing, great location, every amenity you need. First time staying in Belize, vacationed with three other couples and all eight of us loved the house, had more than enough room and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Close to great restaurants and not to far from town. Ester and Cesar were so helpful, accommodating and quick to respond. I would highly recommend this property for families or couples.
