"We really wanted to leave a good review of Villa du Kapress because the staff were so lovely and overall the villa is really nice, we also had one of our best meals here while we were on St.Maarten. The Villa was also nicely located so we’re weren’t right in the craziness, but a short drive away. But, there were somethings that took away from our experience. "Had a delightful one-night stay at Tiko Lodge SXM a hidden gem away from the resort chaos. The peaceful ambiance, cleanliness, and warm hospitality of the hosts were impressive. The distant yet very close ocean sounds and fresh air created a serene atmosphere. Although I usually opt for big resorts, Tiko Lodge SXM has changed my perspective. I plan to return, hopefully for an extended stay. Only drawback: no TV in the room, hence the four-star rating.~~ Monet"

"The one lady who checked in was really nice but the other manager/owner? Was the rudest, most angry, unprofessional person I've ever seen in the hospitality industry. We honestly were made very uncomfortable and booked another hotel around the corner. While the villa is nice it's really a gilded mansion with very minimal if not gauche interior design, just an afterthought. Felt very soulless. "
