The house was beautiful! Details were thought through to make the experience welcoming from the minute we opened the door. The host also worked with us on a special situation, which was very appreciated. Our stay was short, but we all agreed this would be a great place to return to for a future trip!

Loved the house

The inside of the house is a 10. It looks exactly like the pictures and was immaculate. The outside was a bit less clean than expected with a few things laying around, such as a shovel next to the back door. The white ledge in the upstairs porch hasn’t been wiped down in several weeks. You need a

Southern Charm was great

Property was all that was promised! Our group was three sets of our family members and Southern Charm was perfect for all of us! Everybody enjoyed the king sized beds in all but one bedroom (and that one has two queen beds!) One more bathroom upstairs would be nice, but we managed with a little planning as to when showers were taken. We felt like we were home!

Texas Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Southern Comfort house. The property is as described and pictured. The living area was very comfy and all TVs were easy to use and no connection issue with TVs or wif! The kitchen is very nicely stocked and we had everything we needed. Bedrooms were very large, mattresses comfy, and the bedding was very nice. 👍 In addition a very nice laundry room with double washers and dryers! We also were very impressed that the supplies at the house were very generous. Much more than we’ve seen at others houses. Lots of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and the extras amenities in the bathrooms was a nice touch! We loved the pool and hot tub and spent a lot of time in the backyard area. The pool was clean and everything worked great! Thank you so much for a great long weekend retreat! We also enjoyed several restaurants in the area which were great and we used meal delivery services which definitely were quick and easy. The entire area is geared for vacationers and it was very nice! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It WAS charming!

The property was practically perfect for our family! Quiet, semi secluded, beautifully decorated and the beds…all the beds were amazingly comfortably! Having 2 fridges was so helpful and the kitchen had everything! We spent as much time as possible in the pool since our stay was in June.

Southern Charm is Charming but...

The home is beautiful. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and the large yard and the heated pool were a BIG HIT! However, we had some issues. First of all, there are only 10 places to sit at the dining table and no extra chairs. If a home advertises it accommodates up to 14 people, but provides room for only 10 at the table, does it really accommodate 14? The treads on several stairs were falling off and dangerous for anyone going up or down. The hand rail was also wobbly and did not provide the needed stability. The sink in one of the bedrooms leaked. We contacted the property manager to find out how to turn off some outdoor lights, but never heard back from anyone. In general, we enjoyed our stay, but these issues would have to be addressed before we would reserve the property again.

What an amazing location! Huge home with plenty of room for family celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday. Spent a lot of time in the pool, whirlpool or hot tub. Got to see some wildlife. A great experience! Thank you!

The house was big, roomy and clean for for 10 adults. The kitchen was very well equipped. The pool was nice but very warm. The decking got hot quickly but we learned to wear shoes. The air conditioners works very well in the hot heat.

Our group of ladies have booked this property. Each of us travel from different areas of Texas & find the location to be a perfect destination for all. The house fits our group & the pool makes even the brutal heat bearable. I'm sure we will book again for next year.

Nice place, cold pool

Our family of 9 (8 adults, 1 child) had a wonderful short trip to San Marcos. The home was easy to find and the check-in process was flawless. The code was provided to us about 30 minutes early for entry into the residence. The house was very well cleaned and well stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat meals, do laundry, etc.. Showers included shampoo and body wash. Very large dining table and living room with enough seating for all. Outside fenced area had several different areas for use. Hot tub, dining table, lounge chairs, fire pit. The pool was very cold as its shaded most of the day. I offered to pay the fee for heating the pool but the owner refused since it was still 90 degrees in Texas. The pool was unfortunately too cold for most of us to use. The sitting pool attached to the main pool had a major bee problem, I contacted the owner but didn't get any response. The bees were entering a crack in the side of the sitting pool so probably a nest in there. Would stay at the property again.

Family Get Away

Great house In a great location

14 Ladies stayed at the house 4 nights. It was comfortable for all and we enjoyed each part of the house including the screen porch during mid day rain. We loved seeing the deer around the property all times of day. I would reccomend additional grip on the grey decking outside the hot tub, it's very slick when wet. Overall a really lovely stay!

Second Year Here

After our initial stay the previous year we decided to rent out the house again. Perfect accommodations for our group of 11 ladies who graduated together & meet get every year. The location works well since we're coming from all over the state & easy access to stores & restaurants. Love the pool and shaded deck to reminisce. Kitchen is well stocked & ample room for all of us to relax. Booked it the week after we got back home for next year.
