We went fishing and walked on the Forge all the way across right at our front door. One of the best places I ever stayed. Must visit Downtown Shepherdtown and Hapers Ferry. Sooo much history . "Incredibly charming home in the perfect location. Me, my husband, and small dog spent hours on the deck, people watching, admiring the butterflies and the scenery, and drinking local wine from the cute store across the street. Just a minute's walk to restaurants and a cafe, with an amazing ice cream shop down the steps. The house was clean and the beds were super comfortable. Highly recommend. "

"My husband is a huge antique fan and this house has a lot. The location was nice and close to bigger cities but yet still far enough away. There was a lot of traffic noise but this could be due to the highway road construction. The owner was very tentative when we talked with her. It was also nice that it is pet friendly. If you are looking for an old farmhouse get away yet still close to modern amenities this is a perfect place to stay."
