MAJOR PROS:
* Stunning views! The marine layer makes it all the more intriguing. Also be sure to look up at the stars at night!
* The host, Ryan, is like a B&B host of the past. He lives on the property with his super sweet pups, and even brought us cookies.
* Close to beaches, hikes, stores. We went to Avila Beach one day and to Morro Bay twice. My friends went hiking all three days and enjoyed it.
* Well-stocked property, incl. coffee, kitchen supplies, even a crossword puzzle that I enjoyed.
* Beds (I slept on the king) super comfy, even for me with back problems. I can see why he includes the model information on his listing.
CONS:
This doesn't alter my great stay, but good to know for future visitors:
* Bugs - bring bug spray/citronella for patio. I live in a part of CA with very few bugs, so I forgot that in the "country" they are gonna be around.
* Warm indoors due to hillside sun, AC upstairs only. I run super hot and was staying downstairs, so this was a challenge for me. I aimed the fan right at me in the bed but the first night it was so hot I had to put ice on my neck. We kept blinds down, windows open and fans running the other days and it was better but I was still a little warm.
* Bed layout - king in living/dining instead of in a private bedroom. Not an issue for us cause I stay up way late, but a point to note for others.
Overall, an amazing experience, eager to return!
