Great property & amazing management

a great week in Puerto Rico

property was as advertised. it was spacious and clean and very accommodative to our family. we were able to cook in. we also had a chef and a professional photographer come on by. Dave and Lily and Ivette were there for anything that we needed. It could not have been a better experience for all of us!

Husband Birthday

David and Lily were great host. I stayed for my husband birthday so we were a large group. I was happy they didn’t have an issues during our stay with noise since many people together can be loud. The house was clean, very large rooms and beds. The only thing I would say is the entrance was little hard to find and there is construction at the entrance. The pool inside was very small looked more like a Jacuzzi. The kitchen was also small especially if your looking to cook. Everything is was good if ur looking for a getaway and the host made everything easy for us since they were staying right next door.

Best family vacation ever

Villa Paraiso has it all - the location (on the beach and adjacent to a Ritz Carlton Reserve), resort privileges (access to world class cuisine, luxury spa, gorgeous landscape, first class fitness center and more) plus you simply move into Dave & Lilly's well equipped home. Lilly was on hand to show us the workings of the house and give an extensive private tour of the resort. The people of Puerto Rico are so welcoming. We hope to return again next year and explore some of the country although there was plenty to do at the villa and resort for 8 nights.

Beautiful oceanfront escape!

We just spent a week at this property with another family of four. It was perfectly suited for our sized party (4 adults, 4 children). The home is well-appointed, with lots of little "bonuses" hidden in closets (I.e those band-aids you forgot to pack). We took advantage of the club membership and two golf carts, both utilized by both families. The house is a 3-5 minute golf cart ride to the residential pool (the Encanto) and 8 minutes to the Ritz Hotel. The Watermill and Fitness Center are also about 8-10 minutes from the house....all super accessible by golf cart or bike. We opted to rent bikes as well, so we had lots of optionality. This is a great vacation for children of all ages. Tennis, golf, watersports, kids center, multiple pools, beach, the watermill etc....and it is super safe. The beach in front of the house is narrow, but totally swimmable. Our teenagers spent a number of late afternoons and evening in the ocean... Lillian and Dave are super responsive owners and wish to make your stay perfect. Hopefully, we will return over winter break 2020.

Everything you would want

This property was everything I and my family had hoped for. The proximity and membership access to the Ritz was a wonderful bonus with all that it offered. Several restaurants, pools, play area and a water park. Security was also tight and welcome. Dave and Lilly were most helpful, even on Thanksgiving Day when we had a minor issue. I would defiantly rent again.

Great place for family vacation!

We are a family of 6 and stayed recently at the Watkins’ place. The home itself was spacious, clean and in a great location. Four of the five bedrooms have ocean views and the backyard leads right to the beach. I spent one evening there reading a book as the sun went down - a great spot. The owners were super helpful. Lilly walked us through the house and helped us order groceries for delivery. The resort itself has something for everyone - we took windsurfing and surfing lessons, played tennis, went to the water park, used the fitness center and of course frequented the pool. Getting around on golf carts really makes it feel like you are on vacation. Hopefully we can get back there soon.

Artfully Done in Every Way!

My family and I are fortunate enough to travel routinely and are accustomed to staying in five-star accommodations. Seeking something roomier than a hotel space for this vacation, we elected to try this as our first VRBO stay. Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant embarking on a stay in someone’s residence. Fortunately for us, we connected with Dave and Lily and their truly special home in Dorado Beach. The photographs for this property are just the beginning of what was an impeccable experience working with them. I found Dave to be prompt and clear in all his communications, which gave us a sense of assuredness even before we arrived. When we arrived late in the evening, Lily personally toured us through the home offering explanations of how everything worked. But really, this was a house that spoke for itself. Nestled in an elegant community behind multi-stage security gates, this home would have easily accommodated more than our family of five. The rooms were spacious, and the bedding well appointed (I’m particular about bed linens, and these white duvets and high thread counts passed my test). Four of the five bedrooms had beautiful oceanfront vistas, and the bathrooms were modern and elegant. Additionally, this is a home that is beautifully maintained, and I appreciated Lily’s meticulous nature. Beyond its appointments, this is a home of style. Every room showed evidence of careful décor, from soothing palettes to striking artwork and corners softened by well placed flowers. As lovely as this home was, it is its waterfront location and proximity to the Dorado Ritz Carlton Reserve (where we had purchased a 1-week guest membership (about $960 for a family of four; additional family member about $160 per person)) that render it noteworthy. Outfitted with the two golf carts that were part of the home rental, we delighted in cruising back and forth over the scenic 8-minute pathway to the Reserve’s amenities (beach, pool, golf & water sport pavilion). Alternatively, you could walk along the beach line from the home’s backyard access and that too would only take about 8 minutes by foot. On a couple of days, we used our guest membership access to the Watermill water park, which was a five-minute car drive away (in the neighboring Plantation community). This is a fun activity, especially for the “under 14” set. One thing to know if staying during peak travel times, as we were, is that the Ritz reserves its bicycles for its hotel guests.

Magnifico!

We stayed at the Villa for one week, and our only regret is that we did not book it for 2 weeks. A couple of days before flying into Puerto Rico, hurricane Erika was lurking to spoil our stay, but it never materialized. We had a little rain, but most of the time it was sunny. Our only disappointment was that we did not have good access to the beach at the property because of construction at the gate to the beach. However, access to the beach at the Ritz Carlton was never a problem and it was ten times better for the adults and the kids. We all loved the beach at the Ritz (6 adults and 4 grand kids) plus access to the pool areas and spent 2 days there. We also visited the Watermill on 2 days and that was so much fun for all. The Villa house was well equipped, clean and extremely comfortable. Lilly even set up a pack@play in each master suite for the 2 year olds. The Villa is beautiful property and Lilly and Dave take great pride in maintaining it that way. Hope they don’t sell it any time soon because we would love to come back for another stay. A slice of heaven

My family and I have been fortunate to be able to travel quite a bit over the past decade, however our latest trip to PR was by far the best family vacation we have ever taken. I booked the villa on my own so it was a complete surprise to my wife and four sons ( ages 21, 20, 18 and 14). Let me just say that the pictures do not do the place justice. The home was beautiful and exceeded our expectations, it has everything you could possibly need! The access to the Ritz Carlton Reserve was a huge plus and we enjoyed our days at the water park and beach. You can be as busy or relaxed as you choose. We even got to meet Jimmy Fallon who was vacationing as well. The six of us were pretty depressed when we left after our week at Dave & Lilly's. I look forward to our return someday soon. I really cannot give any higher a recommendation to not only the villa but also to the graciousness of Lilly and Dave to ensure that we had no worries while we were there. Great house/ Great owners!!!!

perfect family vacation

Perfect blend of Ritz luxury and living in your own home. We had two families with 5 total children between 10 and 16. We stayed on the property for all but one day to the rain forest and there was never a boring moment. Even for the children. There was plenty of activities however not crowded or noisy and the resort staff and villa owners were sensational. It was a very peaceful relaxing vacation yet entertaining enough for kids, even 3 teenage girls. We would love to return to PR and if we do we would absolutely stay in in the same villa again
