I found this place by accident. But I’m glad that I did. It was very clean. The owner is very friendly and knows what she expects out of her guests. She’s very stern but very friendly. I can tell that she’s probably been burned in the past with careless guests. So we tried extra hard to make her feel comfortable and let her know that we would take care of her place like we would do our own humble home here in Miami. I plan to visit again. This property was actually only 17 minutes from my families house. It was perfect!

The property was as pictured and really clean. But the older lady was very unpleasent. Before we arrived at the property both her and her daughter knew I didn't speak Spanish. I arrived early to find out where the property was located. The mother let us check in early. But I had not brought with me the credit card that I made the deposit with. So that created an issue. After that was taken care of the lady seem to have an attitude with me because of our inability to communicate efficiently. The room was nice but unfortunately there was a huge crack in the glass door, the lock on the door was messed up, the cable was going in and out. And while I was washing the dishes while making dinner the sick was leaking and water getting on the floor. When they arrived the daughter told us that because everything was going wrong, we would have to leave the property that night and that they would give us a full refund. At that point it was pouring rain. She looked online and found us a place close by. Then told me that they would hold the room for 20 minutes. Both of them were standing around like I was going to trash the place. When I asked her if she was really kicking us out in the rain the daughter said "a little rain never hurt anyone and you have an umbrella". I would not recommend this property if you don't speak Spanish. The place was nice and the beach and boardwalk behind it was beatuiful. But the way they treated us (it was me and my 11 year old son) was unacceptable.

Tiffany, the property manager was super helpful and outgoing. The pool area was very nice, and having the beach and boardwalk directly behind the property, with a private access was so nice!

Amazing, i reserved 2 rooms, both were equally nice and comfortable. The pool was perfect, ocean waves crashing right out front, lots of places to eat and drink around hotel.

The property is a diamond in the rough. The home is wonderful; really enjoyed the hammock, the access to the beach and the pool was sparkling and inviting. We are so grateful for the wonderful stay, we enjoyed every moment. There is a wooden walkway and it leads to wonderful restaurants and locals enjoy the area. Owners are very helpful and will accommodate to ensure you have a wonderful time. A lot of thought was placed in decoration and appearance. Our family will visit again.

Our stay at the Beach Club was wonderful!! The room was beautifully clean, bright and newly remodeled. We had everything we needed. The owners were very kind and were there if we needed anything! We cannot wait to go back next year!!!!

Great stay oceanfront
I stayed in the two bedroom apartment with my teenage girls. The property was a little hard to find, but the host communicated very well and even dropped me her location so I could find it. The grounds were great. Pool was right in front of our door, and the beach right behind that. We could hear the ocean waves all day and night. No one else was there for our first part of the trip, but then a family with small children showed up the last day, and there was quite a bit of noise with the kids playing in the pool. The location is very close to the airport as well, and you could hear planes flying overhead all times of the day and night. It only bothered me one night, and I had no issues the others. The location was great as well. Within walking distance to many restaurants, and a short ride to the grocery store and airport. Kitchen was pretty basic, fine for breakfast but I wouldn’t think you could make any more complicated meals. The oven was not working, but the cooktop, microwave, and coffee maker were. Plus there was a full-size refrigerator-freezer. Staff was really nice and helpful. Beach towels and bath towels were supplied. No laundry facilities and no house cleaning during the stay. A parking space was a great bonus as well. The bathroom was newly remodeled but at the expense of the kitchen, which was very small and narrow. Overall the property was great for what we were looking for.

The kitchen is already remodeled with countertop stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, cutlery and basic cooking utensils. Thanks for your accurate review. Staying here for sure again :)
If ur looking for a Puerto Rican feel, this is the place to stay! The owner did a great job meeting us and showing us the place. We really enjoyed it and the pool is a must. The views, and all the food places next to it is what I liked the most. I will definitely stay here again.

The property was very clean and picturesque. We loved the swimming pool and access to the beautiful beach very relaxing atmosphere. The only issue was the lack of room in the apartment.

Bröllopsfest 5 meter från rummet förstörde sömnen
Hotellet låg i ett gansla nedgånget område, Pinjones, som dock blev trevligare när lokalbefolkningen kom dit på weekendbesök. Poolen och stramden var helt OK. Dubbelsängen var ok men extrabädden var hemsk. Det skulle vara en futonbäddsoffa men den var plastbelagd och ej fullängd. Madrassen vi lade ovanpå var smutsig. Värsta problemet med hotellet var annars att alla flyg gick precis ovanför. I vårt fall förvärrades nattsömnen rejält av att hotellet hade hyrts ut för bröllopsfest som pågick med väldigt hög popmusik till sent på natten. Att låta hotellgäster betala fullt pris motsvarande 4-5 stjärnigt hotell i Sverige och inte förvarna om denna ljudnivå 5 meter från fönstret, är inte acceptabelt. Vi behövde sova p g a jetlag och 14 h resa från Sverige.

We will be back!
Our family of 5 stayed here for a few days to unwind after a busy cruise. We loved it. The only complaint would be that the oven in our apartment was not working but we made do with the stove top. Ivan keeps up on the property daily and it is very clean and secure. His english is limited but his daughter can help with that. Although the surrounding area is poor the people are friendly. It was nice to be out of the busy tourist areas but a close drive to everything we wanted. The airport, Old San Juan and the rainforest. There are some nice beaches nearby. The farthest we went was Farjardo, about an hour. That is where the bioluminescent bay and the ferry to Flamenco Beach are.

It is a very small hotel but Ivan the owner is friendly as was his assistant Nestor great to hear the sounds of the beach in a quiet setting However it should eb noted that it is in a flight path from the airport so you do hear planes Nice resauarants in walking distance and felt very safe with a police station across the road

Awful experience, stole money from us
So my best friend and I were so excited about coming here. Little did we know, that it was NOTHING like it was described. No bar, no hot tub, no working oven. Our bed was missing a leg. The owner was very rude to us. He blamed us for putting sand in the pool when there was kids staying the next room over. HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO YELL AT US. So disrespectful. And on top of all of this, including things I haven't mentioned, the maid told us we owed 200 dollars upon arrival, and made me pay cash. Mathematically, no taxes equaled that. DO NOT COME HERE.

Hotel très agréable propriétaire aussi. Petit hic qui est aussi un atout c'est la proximité avec l'aéroport qui engendre quelques bruits d'avion assez répétitifs.

Don't stay here
Way over-priced. Cockroach in bathroom when we checked. Oven did not work. Door to our bedroom would not close. They also said I signed up for a tour which I did not--they did refund the money, but it was a ploy to add fees.

Awesome and accomadating hotel staff
My 2 daughters, 2 grandchildren and I just came back from our trip last Christmas. We had a wonderful time! Ivan, the owner, and Dary, the cleaning young woman, were more than accomadating to us, whether it was rides to the grocery store,a ride to the rain forest for our expedition, or even a ride to the airport when we left! Ivan was very nice and played a stereo for us to have music while we played in the pool and let us have access to his cell phone for local calls.The grounds and pool were always clean! We brought some food with us, which was good, but for other things, such as milk, bread, there are 2 marts down the street for that, a 5 minute walk.The neighborhood isn't as bad as it seemed. We all ventured out at nights for dinner and to the store with no problems. The locals were actually very nice and helpful as well. We loved the apartment ( rented a 2 bedroom) and thought it was perfect size for all of us. We became especially close to Dary and still talk to often on FB. I would definitely reccomend this hotel to all. We loved it because it wasn't your usual high rise hotel. It was very intimate and private, which we all enjoyed!! Would love to get back some day. A must go!!!!

.My family and I stayed here for 4 days before taking a boat cruise out of San Juan. We stayed in San Juan last year and wanted to stay in a different part so we chose Loiza because of its cultural history. The property is well kept and we found the staff to be friendly. The property is not located near any grocery stores so a car is recommended. There are no day to day housekeeping services provided. The unit we stayed in was clean and had a full kitchenette that included cooking utensils and dishware. I wasn't able to get a Wi-Fi connection and there weren't too many satellite channel options on the television. The neighborhood is quiet during the weekdays / nights and comes alive during the weekends. Although you can literally walk the board walk and sight see Loiza in one day we really enjoyed our stay here. Again (RENT A CAR) if you choose to stay on this part of the island. Use taxi service can be costly. I rented a car and we were able to sight see more of Puerto Rico we weren't restricted to one area

The Unaccommodating Staff & under Construction
Carlos checked us in was was very unfriendly and not the least bit accommodating. We asked him why the Pool had no water in it. He lied and said it was being cleaned. When we were woken up 3 mornings in a row by sledge hammers banging and banging, because the pool was clearly under construction, we left the unattended guest house. When we finally got a response by text from Carlos he accused of us stealing liquor on our way out and said we would not receive a refund. We stayed at the Beach Club in February and had a decent visit for the price and that's why we chose to return. Juan was the attendant at that time and was much nicer. At this point returning is never possible again after feeling that Carlos is not a person to be trusted and actually quite threatening .

Great place near San Juan PR
Great place near the airport, so it was easy to come and go to beach, shopping, tours, you probably want a car as it was worth driving around to get to places, the expressways are great, just learn the turns before you go as signs are somewhat hard to understand. I recommend a GPS, because I spent time lost three times. The hotel is great, I felt secure and in a great location. It was clean and you see the owners and staff EVERY day working hard to keep it nice. It is a beach house so ask what you need to bring, I had to get paper products and soap at store, when I got my groceries. My friends at other hotels had hard time cooking where I had a great kitchen with an awesome view. Make sure to get an upstairs room as downstairs has no view and is right off noisy pool. I would definitely stay again and will. I would just be more outspoken and ask for what I needed as they would provide, as they care. Again, make sure you have a car, as it is not near everything like the big hotels on the strip. The boardwalk is worth your time to walk both directions and was safe. Enjoy and maybe I will see you there, as I am going again soon.

Nice Place
You hear the birds singing and the waves crashing, you see the well-landscaped property with the Caribbean Sea behind it and feel the warm glowing sun... All the things that happen the second you open your apartment door at Beach Club Guest House. The people there were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean. Some would say the neighborhood was less-than-desirable, but I thought it was truly charming. It reminds me of any other Latin American country if you wander away from your all-inclusive resort. It didn't feel unsafe to me at all. My only complaint was the planes got a little loud at times, but they were infrequent and I didn't hear any overnight... I would definitely stay again. I only wish I stayed longer!

7 Days 7 Night
For our 7 day stay my wife and I found this Hotel apartment just what the doctor ordered. The weekend before Memorial Day gave us such privacy we had the pool all to our self together with the tranquility we were looking for. I found the bed a little uncomfortable but doable. Just a ten minute ride to and from airport, garage parking for rented car and a kitchen for cooking our small meals like breakfast and snacks. Short drive to San Juan and Isla Verde for dinner and entertainment very nice. For some it may look rural but our stay was Great. Right on the coast with the sound of the sea long boardwalk views are picture perfect.

not at all as described,we paid in full at reservation and then we where charged an additional 55 dols in hotel tax when arriving.everything is old and worn,pool has fungus and you cant get to the beach unless you crawl under a walkway. when asking the owner about concerns,he simply said he didn't speak enough English to understand

Disappointed
I would not recommend this hotel for two main reasons. The neighborhood is dangerous. Would not step out of the hotel for any reason. Secondly, the room was less than we expected. Although it had two huge flat screen TV's (not something we would have wanted anyway), the couch had been moved so it faced the bathroom and couldn't be used except for putting our luggage, the rooms were tiny, the AC very noisy, the airplanes landing, and the cost of cab to get there was $52.00 + tip. The manager tacked on an add'l charge which I don't think was legitimate, but we had to pay it. Would never go back.

Surrounding area very sketchy
Nice enough property, but located in very run down and abandoned property area. Directly under departure path of airport. Charged me tax even though it was fully pre-paid through Hotels.com. Argued with manager but convinced me that is how it is done in Puerto Rico. Next night stayed at Howard Johnson through hotels.com and they didn't attempt to collect extra money. I think I was scammed.

The hotel is far from everything for the night life. Definitely a place to relax with friends/family but not if you are going alone
