I had an overall OKAY stay at this place. The apartment itself was clean, and matched the description. All the listed appliances and amenities were available.
However, the main issue was communication regarding a water outage. Day 2 of our stay at 9am, the host mentioned that the water would be shut off, but did not clearly explain how long this would last. Because of that, we returned from our beach day earlier to make sure we get to shower.
Next day, after coming back from a hike, we had no water and had to wait about four hours before we will have water back. Eventually, we had to find our own solution and went to a gym to shower, which was an extra inconvenience and expense. The host mentioned having some gallons of water available, but this was not enough for three people.
The following day, although water returned, the washing machine was still not working due to the earlier issue. Again, communication about alternatives or timing was unclear, so we had to find and pay for laundry services elsewhere.
I understand that water outages can be outside of the host’s control, but clearer and more proactive communication would have made a big difference. It was difficult to plan our days without knowing when water would be available, and we had to solve most of the issues on our own.
The host mentioned providing some form of accommodation or compensation, but I’m still waiting for details. Because of the lack of clear communication, I would not choose to stay here again.
