Beautiful house that had ample space for our group of 5. There were tons of beach towels, big soft bath towels, and comfy beds. The two kitchens had everything we needed to cook Easter dinner. The AC worked well. The view from the roof is amazing, especially for sunrise and star gazing.
The neighborhood is very hilly, with somewhat narrow roads and not many sidewalks so we did not find it to be very walkable. However, it is only a short drive to many restaurants and Seven Seas Beach. As mentioned in the listing, it is very mixed with some remodeled houses and some abandoned ones. There are many animals, which we enjoyed. We ate at several nearby restaurants and highly recommend Las Vistas Cafe, be sure to make a reservation there!
We experienced many water shut offs caused by the water utility having issues during our stay. The whole neighborhood was affected so this was not in the owner's control. The house has emergency drinking water available and a cistern, but not the type of cistern that is attached to the house plumbing. We had to fill buckets with the water and haul them into the house to flush toilets. We had no water for 2.5 days out of our 8 day stay, so this was very time consuming, frustrating and exhausting. Water was off 1 to 12 hours at a time, and once it was off for 28 hrs! It was unpredictable so we never knew if we'd be able to shower, wash dishes, do laundry, etc. We knew PR infrastructure was not good, but this was worse than we expected.
