The place was new construction with travertine floors, and nicely decorated. We arrived late and arrangements were made for the guard gate to show us to the unit. It was ready with lights on. We were missing a can opener, which was brought to manager attention, but not replaced during our stay. There was no broom in unit, which would have been nice to sweep sand from floors. It was definately a relaxing environment with little to do but chill with your toes in the sand. Management arranged ATV rentals for us, and gave us tips on the best Panga capitan, both of which we took advantage of. Overall the Mexico/Baja attitude is a laid back one, which can take some getting used to, especially if you are a hard charging type A person, but the people were very nice. Overall a good experience. If management was more service oriented, it might have been better. Case in point, my wife wanted to get her toes done...the manager on duty said we don't really have any places like that here in SF...when we were checking out, my wife noticed a nail salon literally in the building across the parking lot, which was frustrating. Otherwise, I loved San Felipe, and El Dorado Ranch/LA Ventana del Mar is a top spot.
