Best location

Loved the location. Close to everything within walking distance. Our favorite part was sitting out on the balcony. Perfect for your dogs too & Park across the street. We will be back.

We had a great stay. The house is so cute however the cleaning people missed cleaning a few things.Underneath the bed it looks like the mattress stuffing is hanging.Dining room table legs dusty. Dining room chairs and small couch by glass slide n door could useA washing.Bedskirts could use a washing and inside needs a painting.Patio had cobwebs.Did the cleaning people tell you we really cleaned upThe place and did you leave feedback for me?

Great location at Ocean Beach

Our 2nd time at this location..perfect stay while visiting my boys at SDSU! They loved coming to visit and surfing at Ocean Beach. Lots of fun activities nearby and great food! We will be back!

OB Pier 2 review

The location was very nice. Just steps away from the beach and a short walk to s variety of stores, restaurants and bars. As for the accomodations, we were disappointed. While the view was great, the overall cleanliness was very lacking. The beds and linen were clean. Beyond that however, things could have been better. The oven was dirty and would not light. The baking sheets were greasy and had not been washed since the last use. Other pans did not look clean as well. The floor was not entirely swept. There was dust and sand in many of the corners, and there was no vacuum or even a broom and dustpan for us to use. Also worth mentioning is the farmers market every Wednesday. While enjoyable, the crowds and the resulting noise went on long into the evening, making sleep difficult.

Worth a try

Overall, my stay was okay. I can't say I would return but I also can't say wouldn't. Layout was perfect everything you need. Opening the gate / door was not an issue. Just follow the instructions the office sends you and watched the video. No maintenance issues. Beds were reasonable and slept well. Bathroom was actually pretty for unit. Downsides; Outside sleepers in vans and or the neighbor not sure who but they synced to our bluetooth speaker and played creepy music. It made us feel like we were being watched & unsafe. Also, you are literally next door to the restaurant (a very positive thing it being so close and having food readily available) however, when they are doing their grease traps and cleaning in the morning the smell is HORRIFIC! Temporary maybe 2 hours max but its enough to close windows and doors. Parking is also TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT! We had an suv, and the other two guests had trucks so a compact car would be perfect. Overall 4 out of 5! View is beautiful. Having the farmers market while we were there was also a very awesome plus. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

My husband and I were in awe of our stay. It was such a perfect spot right in front of the ocean and so many places to hang and eat at. Our experience was so positive and breathtaking! Thank you for this ❤️

Loved the view.

Maybe this was my fault. But lots of homelessness. No privacy on outside deck, there is a three story restaurant to the right of you that has a great view into your patio. Drum circle until 10 pm one night which was fun to watch and listen to. Drug addicts crawling on the sidewalks were hard to explain to a 3-5 year old. The mattresses need to be changed. They seemed old and broken down. Our backs were killing us after one night. Other than that this place is awesome!! I will be back for a girls trip or just my husband and I. Your so close to the beach and restaurants and shopping. I didn’t try to cook or do to much in the kitchen but having a fridge and microwave were nice. Over all this place is great.

Great location & wonderful unit!

great location right on the main drag for OB. Overlooking little park and ocean - nobody between the balcony & the cool ocean breezes!! Room is also very well appointed - the pictures do tell the story.

Awesome balcony overlooking the beach

We had a wonderful stay here - an easy walk to Dog Beach with the pups and our beach gear. Our favorite part was sitting on the balcony/deck, which overlooks a little grass park area and the beach! Lots of people watching in OB. And the sounds of the ocean are fantastic. It's important to know that this unit is right in the middle of it all - sandwiched between Ocean Beach hotel and a restaurant shopping area. Also, the grass area across the street is home to a bunch of street vendors and random people playing the drums, etc. We loved this... until about 11pm when the drum circle was still going strong - so this isn't really an escape/relaxation place to stay. Finally, the oven is out of service though the stove works just fine. The fridge/freezer is also smaller than regular size (and a couple shelves are broken in the fridge). This wasn't an issue for us for just a couple of days, but if we were staying longer it might have been a bit annoying. All in all, we would definitely recommend staying here!

Ocean Beach Circus and Hippie Sideshow

Parking is awful if you have to park in the curb drop off and light pole car damage parking spot. It should be posted NO PARKING in these 3 spots because your company kept texting me all day that I was in someones spot, when your directions clearly state no checking in until 4pm. I was in Escondido and sight seeing all day until check in time. YOU SHOULD HAVE HANDLED IT IN PERSON OR CALLED THE POLICE if an unknow car is in the spot. You clearly know what it is like down there. A dirty disgusting circus filled with urine, feces, human and dog, prostitution, homeless people everywhere...that was our Wednesday night welcome. AND A VENDOR AT THE SO CALLED BIZARRE WAS IN A SPOT THE ENTIRE DAY AND NIGHT. I SENT YOU PICTURES OF THEIR CAR AND LICENSE PLATE....BUT HOW DID THAT HELP US? We had an extended Jeep Gladiator that barely could get into the only parking spot free, the curb drop off spot. For the amount of money we paid to stay there it's a hell hole. Your stair way had cobwebs and dead bugs, I have pictures of your pillow cases with dirty black lines on them because it looks like your laundry service washed it with a feather duster, of which a feather was glued stuck to one of the pillow cases. It could be a lot cleaner. There is cobwebs and dust on the table chandelier glass bulbs hanging over the table, gross, brown grime around the bathroom window, NO BEACH CHAIRS ON PREMISES. And the non stop partying with the bongo drum loop that played all night during their beach raving played until late into the night. So that was Wednesday. Thursday I got to see all the homeless people again right in front of the VRBO hanging out all day, in front of the beach bathroom their were obvious drug deals going on, dog poop on the sidewalk, etc...I know you obviously cannot control the homeless and mentally ill population in the town, and I myself am in social services, but I paid a lot of money for a honeymoon stay in a less than desirable place. The actual inside is okay, but can be cleaner and updated for the money you charge. I am also a degreed paralegal so I understand contracts, and I do not believe you fulfilled your end of the contract on the property inside and out. You keep out accurate information and did not fulfill on what you promised. Having stated that, I would like some compensation returned to my credit card. I could have stayed on Coronado Island for 3 nights and felt safe and been in a clean enviro for what I paid at your rental.

Wonderful beach getaway with dog

The location is unbeatable for shopping and restaurants. As well as very close walk to an excellent dog beach. However, be warned, Ocean Beach (OB) is not for everyone. Coming from Los Angeles, where we are used to the homeless issue, it wasn't quite as shocking, however, there is still quite an uptick in homeless and drug users around the property.
