  • Welcome to Charming Mission Bay Retreat, we hope to host your for your visit to San Diego! Please read through our detailed description below to learn more about the property and booking terms.

    This unit is situated on the back side of a duplex property right on Mission Bay boardwalk. About 30 steps to the sand of Mission Bay and the Boardwalk! The pacific ocean is less than 2 blocks away as well!

    PROPERTY LAYOUT
    The first level, just a short staircase up from the front entry, features an open floor plan living room, dining room, and kitchen with bar seating—a great space to share! The outside balcony, accessible from the kitchen and dining area, includes a propane gas grill for convenient dinner grilling. While the unit is not directly on the bay, you can catch a glimpse of the water by peeking out the side balcony. The kitchen is fully stocked for meal prep, dining, and entertaining. The living room is equipped with a smart TV and live TV. On this level, you`ll also find a washer and dryer tucked away in a closet, along with a full guest bathroom and guest bedroom. This bedroom has a new cozy queen size bed, mirrored closet, and smart TV. The main level has central AC and the master level has a window unit.

    Walk upstairs to the master bedroom suite, featuring a king size bed, private balcony, and bath, plus a twin size floor mattress. Some features that make this unit stand out from others in the area include dual pane windows for a quiet and cozy stay. This home fits 2 cars tandem in the garage and its beach amenities include beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards.
    Guests will have access to the entire house and it`s available amenities.

    THE LOCATION
    Mission Beach is a laid-back neighborhood whose 2 miles of sandy shores attract surfers, sunbathers and volleyball players. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the paved walking and biking paths that curl around Mission Bay, a popular spot for water sports and family beach days. Casual cafes and eateries line Mission Boulevard, the single road that runs between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Nearby Belmont Park has tons of dining and entertainment options for all ages in addition to the world-famous Mission Beach boardwalk and Giant Dipper Roller Coaster! Just blocks away from the ocean and bay, you’ll experience the best of the beach!

    Be sure to check out all San Diego has to offer! You will find yourself centrally located in America’s Finest City with convenient access to the county`s most excellent attractions including the world famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, Seaport Village and Harbor, prestigious La Jolla, historic Gaslamp Quarter and much more. There are endless opportunities for fun and entertainment!

    This property has a two car garage and restaurants, bars, beach are all walking distance! Airport is a 15 minute drive away. Taxis and the local bus system are readily available for your convenience, as well as bike rental shops up and down popular Mission Blvd.

    OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
    Garage Dimensions: 6`9` high/ 7`9` wide/ 31` deep
    Due to the garage`s location and the narrow alley access (common in the Mission Beach area), maneuvering into the space may require extra care, particularly when neighboring spaces are occupied. Guests with larger vehicles may prefer to use nearby street parking when available.


    Pack n play provided. Pack n Play linens and bedding are not provided, please bring your own!

    BOOKING TERMS
    Per the cancellation policy, eligible cancellations may receive a full refund less credit card processing fees. These non-refundable fees are charged by the payment processor at the time of booking and typically range from 3.9% to 4.7% of the total transaction amount. There is no grace period for Credit Card fees. Once booked credit card fees apply and can not be refunded.

    Long term renters of 21+ days additional rules apply:

    Utility cap of $125/week
    Refundable Security Deposit $800

    Good Neighbor Policy: This home is surrounded by OWNER OCCUPIED homes. While we understand the Primary Renter and guests are on vacation, the home owners are not. Therefore, we respectfully request Primary Renter and Guests display behavior that is becoming of a typical neighborhood environment. Home owners across San Diego are banning together to eliminate the rentals of private homes as vacation homes. Please help us preserve our right to rent by being respectful neighbors.

    NOISE/NO PARTIES: Quiet hours are strictly enforced, 10 pm – 8 am per city ordinance. This property has ZERO TOLERANCE for noise, parties or loud music which includes any excessive daytime noise, cursing, yelling or screaming. Fines will be applied for complaints. Drinking games of any kind ie: beer die, pong, funnels etc. and music that is audible past the property line are strictly prohibited. Immediate eviction can result if these rules are broken.

    San Diego Municipal Code 59.5.0502 states that at all times; any amplified sound that can be heard 50 feet away from the rented residence is prohibited. Between 10 PM and 8 AM, even normal conversation must be moved inside the rented residence. Per SDMC 51.1004 and California Penal Code 415.2 noise violations can result in fines (Up to $1,000) for property owners and Renters if there are repeated calls for noise violations to one address. Renters will be liable for any and ALL noise violation fines charged to the property owner. Excessive Noise disruptions can result in immediate eviction without the right to a refund of rental fees or security deposits.

    Drugs/ Alcohol: Use of illegal/illicit drugs by any Renter, Guest, Occupant or Visitor in or on the grounds is strictly prohibited. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by a minor under 21 years of age is strictly prohibited.

    No Smoking of ANY kind: This is a non-smoking property, both in and on the property. A fee of $1,000.00 will be charged for violation of this rule, plus any costs incurred to remove smoke odor or damage. Smoking includes but is not limited to: cigarette, cigar, marajuana, cocaine, incense, or vaping. While Marajuana is legal in the state of California it is NOT allowed on this property.

    Properties are subject to exterior patrol by our staff and homeowner. If Renters are causing a nuisance, having a party, acting detrimentally toward the property, breaking the noise curfew or any stated rules and regulations we reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement, without refund, and immediately remove Renters and guests from the property. Absolutely no disturbances are allowed within this home or anywhere on the property premises. We also reserve the right to refuse occupancy if a house party is suspected.

    Our neighbors are very, very sensitive to vacation rentals as it affects their right to live in a peaceful environment therefore we will enforce these policies in exchange for the privilege of renting this home as a vacation rental. The City of San Diego has adopted stricter guidelines for vacation properties and bad operators will not be allowed to rent their homes. If the actions of the Renter and their guests are detrimental to our right to rent as a vacation rental we reserve the right to evict and retain any rental fees and/or security deposits and will report abuse to the rental platforms and will take legal action against Renter if their behavior results in loss of permits.

    Guest Occupancy:
    Occupancy: The maximum occupancy for this Rental Agreement shall not exceed the number stated on the reservation. Only primary Renter and guests accounted for on the reservation are allowed to be on the property.

    Age Restrictions: Primary Renter must be 25 years or older. Guests must be 25 years or older. Parents and children excluded.

    No Subletting: If Renter can not keep the reservation please alert us as soon as possible so we can assist in re-renting the unit. If the unit is not re-rented and at the rate of the current reservation Renter will not be refunded their rental fees.

    If excessive cleaning is needed, Renter will be charged $100/hour, or actual charges, whichever is greater. If area carpets are excessively dirty after check out Renter will be charged a $300 fee for carpet cleaning or full replacement value PLUS any loss in rental income at $500/night.

    NO DAILY MAID SERVICE: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. The cleaning fee referenced above shall be applied to the cleaning service after check out. If daily maid service is desired it can be arranged for an additional daily fee.

    Missing or damaged items will be charged at full replacement cost. Guest is responsible for all damages.

    Kitchen: Cooking at high temperatures can result in strong smells that permeates throughout the home and into the fabrics of the home. Excessive odors can come from, but not limited to, popcorn, fish, certain spices etc. Please open windows, use kitchen fans, and be mindful that this is a shared living space. Should a strong odor be detected upon check out, an air purifying fee will be applied.

    Check in / Check out:
    Per the contract check in time is 4:00 PM and check out is at 10:00 AM. Check in and check out times are strictly enforced, please do not enter the property early without permission. Disruption to the contracted cleaning company’s allotted service time will incur a fee.
    Upon Vacating, Renters and guests will follow the provided Check-out Procedure.

    Hurricane/ Storm Policy/ Pandemic: Mandatory evacuation by State or Federal Authorities will be sufficient cause for refund. Refunds will only be issued for the specific area and for the dates requiring mandatory evacuation. “Shelter in place” is not considered evacuation orders. Travel bans issued by the government will be cause for credit of funds towards future stay within 1 year of original stay date.

This cute beach stay was just what we wanted! Well stocked, perfect location to the bay and beach, comfortable and great communication. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to enjoy San Diego and Mission Bay

Very clean and relaxing property. Extremely accurate description in vrbo website. Enjoyed my 5 day stay. Very close to beaches, mission bay, good food, and entertainment.

Great place right on Mission Bay.

We had a great time at this place. Spacious and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The Bay was right outside our door. There was A/C throughout and small portable one in the upstairs master bedroom. Games and beach stuff (chairs, towels, body boards) were a plus.

Mission beach condo

Overall very good. Missing was any view. The other 1/2 of the property had terrific views of the Bay, We had almost zero. Cindy extremely responsive to our needs, or any problems that developed. Really no problems, more questions. Location excellent. Steps to the Bay and sand. About 600' to the ocean. Multi-use promenades both bay and ocean. Too many electric scooters, going too fast. But, loely walks both ocean and bay.

Great Condo, Terrific Location steps from Mission Bay and Ocean

We had a great long weekend in San Diego. The condo was even better than we expected. The pictures don't do it justice. We also loved this location. Mission Bay was just steps away. The ocean was 1 block in the other direction. We were also 1.5 blocks from Belmont Park and Mission Blvd. We had a little trouble reserving our dates at first, but Cindy was great to work with. She was very helpful throughout our stay.

Great Mission Bay Rental

Home was very comfortable with all the amenities needed for a great vacation. The location is on the Bay side but within a short walk to the ocean. There are restaurants, grocery stores very near by. For adventure seekers you can rent paddle boards, bikes, sail boats and almost anything you need to enjoy the water. The Sea World Fireworks are visible from the boardwalk outside the unit. The description doesn't say there is a washer and dryer but the unit is equipped with a W/D for your convenience.
