We felt very much at home for the 10 days we stayed. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the kitchen and bathroom have everything you need, though a dishwasher might be a welcome extra. The outdoor area offers various kinds of cosy furniture for at least 20 people, a gorgeous view, and sunlight from early morning until ca. 5 pm (in March).
Octavio is a very friendly host, extremely relaxed, instantly available to help whenever needed, but completely kept out of our way the rest of the time.
The only two rooms internally connected are the living room and one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom, the kitchen, and the bathroom are reachable via the open courtyard, so when it rains you need outdoor cloths to go to the bathroom.
The house sits on a steep slope at the head of a narrow valley, which means two things: First, the terrace backs onto a ca. 5 m high retaining wall, so the view is rather restricted. On the other hand, this also provides protection from most prevailing winds, which makes the outdoor area rather warm and comfortable even in spring. Secondly, in the narrow valley sounds carry surprisingly well. Though no neighbors are closer than a few 100 meters, this place is not really as quiet as you would assume from its location. Most noises didn´t bother us, but on the weekend several neighbors played music outdoors rather loud for several hours. Also, there is a dog kennel some way up the road, and the dogs frequently bark rather excitedly even at night.
