Our stay was great, the scenery, the location, the pool, tennis court, the deer, didnt see any fox running around. But we had a great stay we would deffintly retrun. Only suggestion i would make is adding an extra tv in the house. Thank you for sharing your home!

Great location in a beautiful setting

The house and property were wonderful. Large tress and wildlife to see--deer, squirrels, fox and birds. The location is great. Hared to believe you are in a city. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. Easy to access freeways.Marcus was great to work with when booking and answering questions. Edgar on property handled anything we needed.

Great placed to stay with kids, very peaceful

I have a small infant and needed somewhere to stay that wouldn't require us to leave, but would entertain my 7 & 10 year old during the day while their dad worked. They absolutely loved the pool and scootering around on the property. it was so charming. The history and the 80's nostalgia we had staying here was amazing! My husband and I left saying we wanted an older home with character :) The kitchen area was huge, there is a second living room and doors with access to the outdoors everywhere. You also see the trees in full floor to ceiling windows or screen doors from every room. One thing I will say, the tub in one of the bathrooms needs to be updated. We all used the master shower and it was totally fine with us since we were one family. The master bathroom was HUGE. But if there was another family there it might have been a hassle.

Always great!

Have stayed here before and will again. Always predictably and actually excellent facilities, amenities, and great communication with property manager. A plus is secluded area with wildlife to enjoy.

Great Location for Airmen’s Graduation

This property is rich in history, make sure you read the welcome book! In town for Airman’s graduation, the location was perfect to Lackland Air Base. Pool was nice and deer roamed around on property. The house has a great AC system for hot days. I would definitely recommend staying here for any occasion. 10/10

Peaceful spot

The place is roomy and had everything we needed. We took advantage of the pool to cool off and saw deer on the property. It's a super nice, peaceful place to relax.

Pure perfection!

I loved this property! This history is fascinating and the property itself is unique. It was wonderful- I suspect the land itself is gorgeous in the warmer months. I liked the location and loved the amenities. It was very luxury mid-century and it was terrific. We will stay here again when we get back to San Antonio. This is a gem.

Perfect Family Getaway!

This property is absolutely beautiful. I drove up in the drive way to be greeted by a herd of deer that grazed the entire time we were there. The house is laid out great for entertaining - equipped with anything you need. Very close to restaurants and shopping and medical district. Marco - the owner is very accommodating and Edgar that lives on the property attended to anything we needed with a smile. I will definitely be staying here again!

Great getaway

Guys Golf Trip

A great set up for our guys golf trip. The house was large and easily accommodated our group. The location was perfect for accessing nearby golf courses all within 25 minutes. The property is very secluded within the neighborhood. The grounds were amazing with all the oak trees and deer grazing. The host and house manager were easy to get a hold of and communicated promptly when we needed something. All the guys enjoyed the uniqueness of the home and the property.

Peaceful retreat!

My husband and I met up in San Antonio between business trips and this was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The property is a gem! It’s located 10 mins from everything we needed - Med center, the rim, golf courses, restaurants, etc - yet surrounded by trees and wildlife in a very nice neighborhood. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the deck where you can sip morning coffee while deer feed and birds chirp was the most peaceful way to start your day! It was perfect for recharging for the week. We will return - it has everything we look for in a rental.

Unique and beautiful home in the center of the city

This property gives you so much privacy, right in the middle of the city. A gorgeous mid century home on a gorgeous property. We woke up to peace and quite and deer in the yard. Very unique experience.

Nostalgic and amazing

Excellent location, with a feel of being in a secluded area, which really being close to everything. Awesome complex! The main house is expansive - open floor plan, very comfortable. The Garden House is also quite large. Both are from the 60’s but are in excellent condition. Gives it a nostalgic feel - but does not take anything away on comfort. On site private pool and tenis courts with large area where wildlife (deer, birds, etc.) were comfortable to come out and be seen and enjoyed.

Quiet Little Forest in the Heart if San Antonio

Serene and delightful, this house is beautifully appointed and a joy to spend time in. Deer roam as if it’s their property :) The conveniences of the city are less than a mile away, but you would never know it. The property manager and on-site caretaker are available and responsive to any question or need. We plan to return as soon as possible.

Loved our stay

As soon as we drove up the driveway it felt like we were in the country and no longer in the city. The property is surrounded by beautiful trees. Even though the house is older and could undergo a renovation, we appreciated it how it is because you rarely see old floor plans anymore. I loved all the large windows and all the entryways. Every room has a view of the property so even tasks like washing dishes or folding laundry were pleasant. I think that if the house was renovated it would make it way above our price range so I'll be happy if they keep it how it is bc we really felt like we walked back in time as soon as we went inside. It's cozy, beds are very comfortable, you wake up to the sound of the water fountain outside your window and you simply can't get this experience in a hotel for that price. I have 5 kids so in a hotel we are always on top of each other and at the house everyone had room to move around, we cooked some meals and comfortably stayed for 4 days and 4 nights. Also, it is literally a min away from the freeway and close to all attractions. Most of our drives were 20 min or less. In the mornings we got lucky enough to see a family of deer walking through the backyard and at night when we got home from our outings we relaxed in the back balcony. Can't wait to book this property again for our future stays in San Antonio. Thanks again for letting stay at the Garden House

Perfect stay!

The property is perfect for our stays to visit our daughter , son-in-law and granddaughter. Centrally located. 15 minutes to my daughter's, downtown, La Cantera, etc. Private. Perfect size. The property manager, Marco, is excellent to work with - excellent! The on-site manager, Edgar, is just great as well. Our granddaughter loves staying with us.

Our absolute favorite place to stay in San Antonio

We live in Virginia Beach and come often to San Antonio to visit with our daughter's family. The Garden House is perfect for our needs: an oasis in a big city yet centrally located (it takes us 17 minutes to drive downtown; 1 hour to Fredericksburg; 12 minutes to our daughter's on the NW 1604 loop & La Cantera); nicely furnished; huge master suite; gated property in gorgeous historic neighborhood; etc. There is a property manager on the plantation site, Edgar, that is totally customer focused. We would not consider staying anywhere else
