Absolutely Beautiful home near Lackland AFB
It was very close to the gates/Visitors center on Lackland. The area seemed clean and nice.** I rent VRBOs and other rental homes very often, and I have never had an issue like this, I have a perfect guest rating, and I would never stay here again due to the CONSTANT Texts/email/VRBO messages from the owner!! The very 1st day of our trip, checked in at 3pm, within 2 hours I got a text/message because we had Not yet locked the front door, saying that it is their policy to always have the doors kept locked "for the Guests safety", We had just arrived, it was the middle of the afternoon, my grown sons had not arrived yet, and we were waiting for them! It was so awkward, and It felt very intrusive, like we were being watched /monitored, Plus my husband and my son are both Law enforcement, it immediately gave off the vibe that we were staying in an unsafe area for the next 5 days!! Over the rest of our visit, I continued to get texts/emails and messages on the App regarding the proper way to dispose of trash!! Over and over!! I have Never in all my days of using rental homes, had anyone tell me, step by step, how to take out the garbage!! I am perfectly capable of reading/following the rules, which were posted in the listing on VRBO & in the home. We were treated like 16 yr olds, being left home alone for the very 1st time!! It was very uncomfortable. I paid alot of money for this rental, and its too bad that the week went this way, we left the home in impeccable condition.
