Longleaf Lodge

True Hill Country ranch experience that's close to San Antonio and New Braunfels for day trips. Cam and Roy were very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful sunsets and nice hikes on the ranch for those that want to experience nature.

Relaxing in Bulverde

Great three days in Bulverde. Cam my and Roy were great hosts. Good food close by and scene was perfect. Potential visitors should know both bathrooms are downstairs but it did not present a problem for us.

Nice, clean cottage in the Hill Country

The location is great, the property is clean, easy access, owners are very friendly, property manager agent, Gabrielle, is great. My only reason for not giving five stars is because one of the amenities listed is a hot tub. On arrival we were informed we would be charged an additional $60 for a four hour use of the hot tub which included the one hour to heat it up (so 3 hours of usage). This was a turn off since we looked forward to relaxing in the hot tub since the weather was a little cooler and we wouldn't be using the pool. Ok, but we survived, but I have to give one less star for lack of a wifi connection. We do live in 2018 and for many of us, a conneciton to the internet is a must, in order to handle emergencies at work. We were told we would get a signal if we went to the pool area. We tried but the connection was no good. Also, when the owners where not in the property they seemed to turn off the wifi connection because I couldn't get a signal by the pool. Not that it would have worked, but I was trying to see if it did. For me, the per night rate is high enough where the hot tub and a wifi connection should be included in the price. To be fair, I did give the property the four stars because everything else was as advertised.

Beautiful property, great location!

This beautiful property was centrally located giving us quick access to Canyon Lake, San Antonio, and New Braunfels. The owners were very hospitable, easy to work with, and kind. We loved morning walks on the property and the pool is gorgeous! We would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful and relaxing

My family of 4 stayed for three nights and never wanted to leave. Our children are 16 and 7 years old and both of them enjoyed it as much as my husband and I. The home and surroundings are very peaceful and relaxing. Though you feel miles away from everything there is great shopping and restaurants just a few minutes away. Roy and Camilla were very gracious hosts that let us feed the horses, ask a thousand questions, and told us about fun events going on near by. The worst thing I encountered was the scale in the bathroom (vacation foods...) We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful, quiet Texas ranch

We absolutely loved staying here for our week's vacation in Texas. The ranch lovely and the hosts were so nice. We swam in the pool while the friendly horses came to visit. We say so much wild life and were able to really relax.

The property is beautiful! perfect location and exactly what we wanted!

We loved our weekend staying just north of San Antonio! The small town this home is located in was perfect for our family. The day we arrived the park about 2 miles up the road was having an outdoor movie theater for the kids. It was perfect! Cami and Roy were very welcoming and even offered to have us join them with brushing and feeding the two beautiful white horses on the property. Our children loved feeding and brushing the horses!! Our 2 dogs were very comfortable and enjoyed the back yard they had for them. We took hikes each evening and enjoyed great sunset views on the property. We had a fantastic stay with 3 kids and 2 dogs. I would like to add that Roy and Cami are living on the property right next door to the house and are very welcoming and accommodating. We enojed the pool, property, horses, town and informational talks with Roy. Thank you Cami and Roy for sharing your property and home with us we had a great time!

Perfect for a ladies getaway weekend

Hosts were friendly and informative. My guests and I took a hike each day, and made use of the pool and patio. Rental home was cozy and accommodating. I'd book again, we had a blast!

The property was great lots of acreage and lots of places to explore don’t expect a hot tub though.

The title of the listing was ranch house with hot tub. This is the reason we chose this listing. However when we got to the property it was brought to our attention that the hot tub is off-limits to anyone who is renting here because the homeowners feel that running the hot tub cost too much money. Or at least this is what the home Tender next door to us said. We called and asked to cut our stay short as there was no access to a hot tub they offered a 10% discount for the inconvenience. I think this is called bait and switch.

Beautiful, extensive, quiet, and relaxing.

My wife and I spent four nights at this house. It was the best, most relaxing mini-vacation we have taken. We loved meeting Camilla and Roy and getting to know them. They are wonderful host and were quick to supply our needs. We enjoyed the hot tub every night. There was no one else in the other home so we had the hot tub to ourselves. The next time we are in the area we will certainly plan to stay here again.
