Amazing views! Beautiful home in a convenient location to Samara and many outstanding beaches. Saw lots of wildlife every day. There were monkeys next to the driveway and hummingbirds at the feeder all the time. The kitchen was well-equipped, although we used it sparingly, and the separated bedrooms worked well for our group (two adult couples). When at the house, we spent most of our time on the back patio and in the pool, enjoying the magnificent ocean view. The host and management company were very responsive from first contact to checkout. I can’t wait to stay here again.

Loved the property and the area. Views were incredible. Fruit and coffee at check in were a great touch. The only thing we could think to add would be a small book about the area with suggestions of places to eat, explore, etc. You can reach out to the property manager for that, as we did, but would be the only thing. We loved the house and had a great time with our family of four. Communication was fantastic. Would absolutely book again.

You simply MUST stay here!

This property is exactly as in the photos - that view is truly that spectacular. Howler monkeys greeted us upon arrival. We had to refill the hummingbird feeder twice during our stay. And we even had some red macaws fly by one morning. We enjoyed the view from the patio rain AND shine! The house was perfect for our family of 5 - we even ended up cooking at home for a couple of dinners, which we really didn’t plan on doing. We did one morning walk down to Roots Bakery but I would not advise it - driving was the way to go. All the food options in the area were wonderful and we checked out both Playa Sámara and Playa Castillo during our stay.

Great Week in Samara

We loved this house and even better the 2nd time. Fresh fruit and coffee on arrival was a nice touch. Leo stayed late and met us at 7:30pm to get checked in. The view and home amenities are top notch. We saw monkeys every day and the scarlet macaws flying down valley. Can’t wait to go back!!

Fantastic Stay

The view is stunning. We walked in and immediately told the property manager we wouldn't be leaving. This home is by far the best VRBO we have stayed in. Everything you could possibly think of has been provided. From the very well stocked kitchen, complete with spices, cooking oil, coffee, tea, plenty of utensils, etc.to all items needed for the beach chairs, coolers, floaties, etc. We had so much fun watching the wildlife. The number of hummingbirds that visited the feeder was crazy, the macaws flying to and from the adjacent reserve, the howlers that visited one afternoon and entertained us for a couple of hours. With all this comfortable home has to offer it was sometimes difficult to leave it to enjoy all that Samara has to offer.For full disclosure, my husband did suggest at one point during our stay that we leave a bad review so that fewer people would visit this and it would be available for us.We hope to come back soon. This house has spoiled us.

Incredible home, view, and everything

This home is pretty much perfect. I cannot think of one thing that is not ideal. We are a family of 4 with teens. We had tons of room to spread out. The home is super clean and has everything we needed. Very well stocked kitchen, laundry. Rental managers were very easy to communicate with. The VIEW is even better than the photos show. It is simply breathtaking. I was concerned that we had to drive into town but I would not change anything. Samara downtown is a bit chaotic but this beautiful perch is anything but. Highlights: Pool- perfect Wildlife- monkeys, birds and more to the right of the pool. Playa Carrillo- we went swimming several days and had the beach nearly to ourselves. Water is clear, warm and the perfect type of easy waves. Great beach for kids- 7min drive from house. Surprisingly good restaurants in Samara- Roots, Falafel cafe, organic market,

Very nice house, owners and managers!

House is very nice. Amazing views of the ocean and beautiful landscape. We saw howeler monkeys and a pair of red Macaws from the pool area! Everything is very comfortable and nice. Thank you also for the nice reception coffee and fruits waiting for us when we arrived.

Private paradise

We had a lovely time in Samara staying at this property. It really does have THAT view. Perfect for family of four. Had everything we needed—coffee and fruit at checkin was a great surprise. Geckos were fun to watch and made sure we didn’t have any insects inside. Pool was perfect. Hummingbird feeder was hoppin! Beach umbrellas were especially appreciated. Samara rentals arranged car rental at National. There was no breeze while we were there so paying for AC at night was very helpful. I would recommend and return.

Peaceful getaway

If you want a quiet, gorgeous place to stay, you've found it. You can watch birds and howler monkeys from the patio, which also has a gorgeous view of the ocean and sky. The property manager is prompt and professional. Highly recommend.

Amazing Views!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the house. The views are absolutely stunning. Although no sunsets due to location. Pool on smaller size but for family of five was perfect. First time visiting Sámara so location was perfect . Some bumpy and narrow roads down to main road but then easy to get into town for restaurants. Limeys and Anglers a must!Of both beaches close to house Corolla was our favorite. Peaceful and very clean. Sámara Rental were great. The house did invite some scorpions which we could not understand how they got into the house. That was a bit concerning. Living room fans are not enough in keeping house cool. And we had to keep the doors shut to avoid these insects from getting in.Linens should be updated. In one room almost looked dirty. Price and view made it worth it!

Amazing

Wow, what a beautiful property!! First ,our property manager was extremely attentive to all our needs:) I tried reserving a few restaurants online, completely full. Called Jair, who did his magic and got us in ! He booked all our activities. He was a pleasure to deal with!The house view is the best in Sámara!! Just breathtaking! We had 2 parrots visit, and we were visited daily by a family of howler monkeys. So entertaining.house is beautiful, kitchen has everything you need to cook great meals. Samara has many amazing restaurants :) just a short distance from the house. Parking in Sámara is crazy! We quickly discovered it was less stressful to park just down the main road , on the right side. Just before Sámara rentals. It’s a very short walk to groceries, beach activities and all restaurants. Lovely stay! Would go back tomorrow :) great bakery, Roots on that corner, and a amazing cheese and cold meats spot for charcuterie boards, the centre where Sámara rentals is offerts a wonderful meat store, and another bakery. Surf lessons are a must!! Make sure you book with Jair! Our instructor we the best!!

Family Vacation

Wow, that first impression when we walked in just before sunset. That impression will stay with me. Every morning we would sit and enjoy our coffees on the front deck for hours. The howlers kept us company a few mornings, so between the view and the monkeys, you couldn’t ask for more. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds very comfy and had lots of storage. Finally, the property managers at Samara and Kristina the owner were all so helpful and kind. I would love to go back one day.

Great view and wildlife

Enjoyed the view even though it rained most of the time we were there. Loved the outside space. Seating was great, 4 rocking chairs and lounge chairs. We had visitor from cotamundi, monkeys and a variety of birds. Lots to do nearby. Loved the Mr Pelícano restaurant. Great view from all bedrooms. Nice inside common space. Would stay there again.

Amazing house and view

The house is very beautiful, clean and welcoming. You find everything you need in the villa (very well equipped). We really enjoyed the view and the rocking chairs. We spent 4 days in Libelulla villa and we will attempt to come back for sure!

Most amazing view and house

We have stayed at dozens of vacation rental houses and this is simply the most amazing one we have ever been too…the view, no words! The house, so comfortable and well appointed. The property management staff, communicated so well and the host response by email was amazing. We stayed with our 2 teens and loved the patio and pool, relaxing outside and caught and amazing ocean lighting storm. Property management staff helped arrange a stand-up paddleboard tour to Isla Chora which we loved

We love this home!

This is by far our favorite VRBO. We keep coming back because it is such a beautiful home in a lovely Costa Rican town. The property manager and homeowner are so easy to interact with. You won't be disappointed with Casa Libelula.

Wonderful Property

We very much enjoyed our stay. The villa is just as advertised and is in a wonderful location. The roads can be a bit bumpy going up the mountain but definitely manageable. We had 4-wheel drive but never needed it. The owner and local management company were very helpful and always immediately responsive. Samara is a great little beach town with plenty of activities and numerous good restaurants. We would certainly recommend this villa and will stay there again should we return to the area.

A slice of paradise

Place is spectacular. Gorgeous views. Spacious common areas. Was worried that we were not going to see the monkeys everyone was mentioning but had an entertaining afternoon with them on day 3. Feel lucky to have found this place and that is was available.

Exceptional location

The property is just as pictured in the listing and is beautiful. Communicating with the property manager was a bit of a challenge. They list a phone number but if you don't have a working cell phone when you land, the number is useless. They suggest communicating by WhatsApp and that is fine, as long as you have the internet, which you will not have in your vehicle. So, coordinating with the manager on arrival was a bit of a problem while in transit. The road to the property needs grading as it is full of potholes and is in rough shape. The TV in the main room was a bit complicated to operate (2 remotes) but the manager was very accommodating and was able to get it working. All in all, the home is lovely, the location exceptional and we enjoyed our visit.
