Adorable cabin with an awesome view!
Once we figured out the panel on the front door was the keypad that needed a firm touch when pressing the code, everything else was smooth sailing. Perfectly stocked with everything one would need for a getaway—all you need to bring is food and drinks. The large old Bible was a precious find, and I enjoyed leafing through that. Hey, Google provided tunes of our choosing, and the internet was a lifesaver as cell service is basically nonexistent (at least with my carrier T-Mobile). Nice cabin to getaway in, do a little work, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature!

Creekberry Getaway
Our visit was originally planned for a fun getaway. However, shortly after I booked there was a death in the family. So our Creekberry stay became a time and place for reflection, love and grieving. The constant roar of the water was just what we needed. So relaxing and healing. The house was immaculate. Every detail is attended to. Our dogs also loved the stay. They did not want to come inside and I think they’d still be on the deck if they could. We got to meet several neighbors down the road on our morning walks and they were friendly welcoming. Highly recommend.

Girls trip.
The perfect place to hang with my sister and nieces before and after our ride on the Creeper Trail. Thank you so much! My senior lab also loved being able to join us. Thank you even more for being pet friendly!

A peaceful escape in nature
I loved how this property is right on the creek and hearing the sound of the water as soon as I opened the door in the morning. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen updated with modern appliances but still retained a homey feel with the decor. It was cool seeing marble games and things I had grown up with along with a nice assortment of board games and even a Nintendo system. You can be as off the grid or as connected as you'd like to be here. I loved seeing the pet bowls and crate available, along with one deck being gated so pets or kids can roam without worry. The thoughtful touches like filtered water being available in the fridge and the ample outlets by each bed stood out to me. I also really liked the light fixtures in the house - they were varied but all seemed to elevate the space. This was my first getaway alone since having a baby so I truly enjoyed the peace and quiet this property afforded me, along with how central it is to so many things like The Great Channels, Creeper Trail, Museum, and much more.

10/10 Definitely Recommend
*Sigh* I’m writing this review as we head home after the most relaxing of weekends at Creekberry! The sound of the creek was just the start of so many zen-like experiences set up at this mountain getaway. The beautiful home, cozy bed and snuggly couch all helped us have the relaxing weekend we were searching for. Talking to the property owner was easy and they easily answered all of our questions. This kitchen is fully stocked, making meal prep a breeze! Being pet friendly I was so pleased at how much it did NOT show pet wear or smells. It was nice to bring the dogs on this vacation! We will be back soon for more rest and relaxation.

Perfect home base for our state park visits
It was the perfect home base for our visit to the state parks. It was cute and cleanly, plenty of room for more than just us two. We went to Grayson highlands state park and saw the wild ponies. It was also central of multiple other state parks like hungry mother, breaks interstate, natural tunnel, wilderness road, and clinch river. We loved listening to the sound of the creek while we had our morning coffee. Would absolutely stay again in the summer.

Excellent Cabin!
We had a great stay here! Clean and comfortable cabin and a nice deck to sit and relax while enjoying the sights and sounds of the creek. Easy check-in. GPS in the area was spotty for us, so it might be helpful to save or print your directions before you arrive.

Above and Beyond
Our stay at Creekberry was very relaxing. They provided a clean and comfortable place for us and our dog Stella. Rarely will you find the level of amenities and hospitality that we received. Just take your food and enjoy the super clean home and the deck to enjoy the beautiful area and listening to the creek. Would definitely stay again if we find ourselves in the area.

Great For Outdoor Enthusiasts
This is a remodeled cottage that has low ceilings, is kind of chopped up, and floors that are different levels, resulting in a tripping hazard. The remodeling included AC, updated kitchen and showers. One of the showers wouldn’t keep the water in so we used the other one after the first day. Parking and access to the cottage was difficult; lots of stairs and a very steep driveway to the cottage. The decks are nice and provided a pleasant place to sit and listen to Tumbling Creek on the other side of the road. As my husband and I are 65 and 71 this wasn’t the best choice for us. We were looking for seclusion and the property is definitely that. We appreciated being able to have our dogs with us but walking them was only possible on the road. Property managers were easy to work with. This would be a good place to stay for younger people who want to be away from it all with some of the amenities of civilization.

Wonderful cabin on the creek
We have stayed in many rental houses from different companies and this was by far one of the nicest ones we have ever stayed in. Well stocked and very comfortable. FYI if you have a fear of spiders, be warned they love the front door. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to southwestern virginia.

My three friends and I stayed at Creekberry for three nights to see the NASCAR races in Bristol. It was about an hour from the track but the drive wasn't too bad. The property seemed newly remodeled and was the perfect size for the four of us. There was also good outdoor lighting to make it easy to find at night. You could hear the creek with the windows open and the area was nice and relaxing. We're definitely considering staying again next year. Thanks Mike & Suzanne.

So Relaxing
We came here as a last stop on a very busy vaca. We basically wanted to relax, unwind, and do nothing. We were exhausted and it was absolutely perfect for that! As soon as you walk in it smells brand new. That is always awesome! It was very clean as well. The sound of the river and view was beautiful! The decor was impressive and super charming, appliances were top of the line and the house was very well stocked! Great bedrooms, great TVs, little fire place, vintage games, and the pressure in the shower in the main bath was so good/hard it mades us laugh.You will definitely be clean! The river was fabulous but too steep for us to get down to it from that location. They warn you of this... We went to Food City (town over easy drive- other groceries in town though)stocked up and sat on the decks the whole time. We drove around and checked out the local history and park. We also went to Hungry Mother State Park and that was wonderful. There were plenty of cameras for security at the house . You are definitely in the country there, so research the area and make sure that is what you want. It's exactly what we wanted and would be happy to stay again! Easy check in and out. Locals told us there were bears around but we didn't see any. It was an extremely relaxing stay. I miss falling asleep to the sound of the river already.

My new favorite place in SW VA!
Southwest Virginia is my happy place. My husband and I love visiting and just distressing for a few days every couple of years. We used to have a home we stayed at, but it was recently sold. However, Creekberry has taken the place of our new happy place to stay! I couldn't have been more pleased with the stay. The sound of the rushing creek just below the house is amazing. I slept with my window open every night so that I could be lulled to sleep by the peacefulness. I love the choice of decorating; The mix of antiques with modern. The master bed was especially comfy. The stay was clean, well stocked, and the hosts were quick to respond to say hello. Though the house is on a somewhat traveled road, the stay was pretty quiet, aside from the occasional truck or car passing by. All neighbors waved to us as they passed by and were very pleasant. I can't wait to visit again someday! Highly recommend this gem away from the fast life!

Mountain get away
Property was very nice and we brought our dogs. Only issue is there is little yard space for them to run around and you must be careful they don't run out in the road because cars drive very fast there. The creek was beautiful and nature too just be prepared to drive at least 30 min to 1 hour to any stores or hiking places. House was very pretty ..would recommend an L shap e d couch in family room and put a flush mounted light in the "dining room" area as it hangs too low for tall people and put a sleeper sofa there instead. All in all great house, deck, river, and nature. We had a really nice stay.

Amazing House
The first thing I noticed when I walked though the door was the smell of Cleanliness!! This house was amazing! All new appliances, comfy furniture and we slept so good on the beds. What made me smile were the dog dishes that were ready for my girl, Scarlett.❤️ Thank you. Nintendo in the kids' room and board games to keep us occupied, along with wifi. I enjoyed cooking there. All pans, dishes, silverware, supplies, coffee, towels, etc. were provided. Enjoyed the peace of the rolling creek across the street. My son and I and Scarlett walked through the creek. Went fishing there and in town. Relaxed on the decks. House was on a small hill, which was fine for us. We loved it here at this house.😁

Such a great trip!
Such a nice property! It is completely updated, new, clean and nicely decorated. We were able to do lots of hiking and come home to a comfy place. The beds and pillows were also comfy. I highly recommend this.

Wow
Exactly as advertised. Quaint and so comfortable! If I could give 10 stars for location and cleanliness I would have. The view and sounds from the newly built decks overlooking Big Tumbling Creek had us spending almost all of our time outdoors. Nothing like being able to catch Rainbow Trout within 100’ of the house too. So many things to do between Clinch Mtn WMA right around the corner and The Channels within minutes, if you are into the outdoors like we are l, this is the place. Coming back in the fall if at all possible.

Beautiful cabin!
We wanted a place to relax that was sort of centrally located to various places we wanted to see in the area. The house was very clean and newly renovated, the showers were lovely, and the beds were comfortable. We went to Bristol, Mt rogers, Grayson Highlands, Hungry Mother state park, Logan falls, and did the Creeper Trail. We wanted to do the great channels but our toddler was really done with our adventures by the end. We relaxed on the porch overlooking the creek— which was nice because the back porch was gated to contain our daughter. We got groceries in Saltville and also had a couple of meals in Marion at the Wooden Pickle. It was a really nice trip. Would definitely come back.

Summer Vacation
This is a charming property that was extremely clean and the owners did a great job making you feel at home. They stocked the property with everything that you could need. It was the perfect size for our family. My son even had has his own room and bathroom. The creek that runs next to the property is very soothing to listen to. It's out a little ways from town but its not a bad drive just watch out for the deer! If you want to see something fabulous, just drive up the road a little ways and go north on tumbling creek. At the top of the mountain is a beautiful lake that is a hidden gem if you can make it up the tight road. We were in town visiting family who lived in Marion, VA. Once we got the route down it wasn't a bad drive over there at all. I would totally recommend this home to anyone heading down to this area. We will definitely use this place again on our next trip down to see family.

Great location
The location was great secluded but with a few other house around. Right next to a creek you can fish or play in. The house was very clean and had everything we needed; bedding, dishes, cleaning supplies, and even coffee. There were even a few board games and coloring books for the kids. And the checkers table was a big hit as well.

Great family getaway!
We had a wonderful 3-night stay! The house was super clean, and perfect for our family of five… two adults and three teenagers. The sound of the stream from the double porches was perfect for coffee, games, and drinks, plus for our two dogs… one has a gate so they could roam free, and the other is covered and perfect for the afternoon rain that blew through. Plus there are no houses on the other side of the stream, so the view is water and woods! The house is wonderfully decorated, simple with touches of history, and everything we needed to cook a few meals. The stream was fun for the kids to play in… bring water shoes if you go, there are lots of other places nearby to wade in the river too! There wasn’t much traffic near the house which was nice… some of the cars do go a little fast down the road, but they all waved and slowed down when they saw us. We originally chose the house because of its location, only 20min from The Great Channels - which was incredible!! We also did a quick waterfall walk at Logan Creek Falls (less than 10min away), spent a half day at the Saltville wave pool (also 10min away), and walked around town to see the museum, have some ice cream, and eat at Gordos pizza. Everyone in town was really friendly! Great spot to have some family time and outdoor adventures!

Creekside weekend
We had a wonderful time with some friends at Creekberry. Loved the decks! Ample seating and wonderful craftsmanship. Covered porch to enjoy when it rained. Easy entry with keypad on the lock. The interior was fantastic. Everyone commented that the beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed and looked great as well. Loved the golf ball sized ice cubes in the freezer. Showers felt great with good water pressure. Towels and wash cloths appeared new, as did everything else. We had an older gentleman with us who enjoyed the knickknacks on display. They weren't overwhelming, just enough to add some charm to the space. Groceries were just a few miles away in Saltville. We enjoyed a great meal at the riverfront restaurant in chilhowie. Overall, it was exactly what we were looking for. A clean, comfortable home with a view of the water. If you enjoy fishing, clinch mountain wildlife management area is just about a mile away. Great trout fishing! The owners have done a fantastic job restoring this home and it is evident that they care about their guests. We'll definitely come back. Overall great stay!
