A little slice of paradise

We stayed at the property for two weeks this July 2025. The property is nothing short of amazing and the owners were super helpful and a pleasure to speak with. We loved every moment and didn’t really want to leave to go sightseeing:)

Fantastic house, great rooms and beautiful view

We came here for a golfing holiday of 8 days. We enjoyed staying here very much. It has a beautiful view from the two living rooms, and has a complete kitchen and 5 rooms of which 4 have great views as well and all have double beds. And of course a sauna and jacuzzi. Minor points for us were the smell coming from a specific area of the house if you kept the door open. And the 5th small room upstairs could do with an upgrade compared to the other rooms, a window or something. But again, all of those were minor points, I would recommend everyone to go here! You'll have a great Swedish experience with the house at the sea/river and you'll have a very friendly and helpful host! Book now!

Very nice holiday in a beautiful house

The house has a wonderful view and is close to the boat stops, so we often travelled to Stockholm. Help with all minor problems were solved immediately and Mikael and Johanna gave us very good tips about Stockholm and the surrounding area. They are a very nice and helpful couple. We would come back at any time. Thank you very much

9 wonderful days in Saltsjo-Boo

My wife and I, together with family and friends, had some splendid days in this impressive house with great views over the water from the large terrace (we also rented the nice little house by the water’s edge). The host was more than helpful in answering questions both before and during our stay (thanks again, Mikael). The house – beautifully decorated and furnished, and located in a charming area – has everything you might need (and more). And the closeness to a large grocery store, liquor store, bakery, and delicatessen is a great plus, as is the closeness to the ferry (if you are heading to Stockholm or further out in the archipelago). Everything makes for a wonderful stay!

Das Haus ist wirklich sehr empfehlenswert. Die Lage ist außerordentlich. Wildtiere kann man aus dem Küchenfenster beobachten. Die Nähe zum Strand ist super. Ein paar Gebrauchsgegenstände in der Villa müssten eventuell erneuert werden aber wir haben während unseres Aufenthalts nichts vermisst. Wir haben oft gekocht und haben in der voll ausgestatteten Küche alles gefunden, was wir brauchen. Das beste ist aber der Besitzer, der alles für einen tollen und stressfreien Aufenthalt. Er beantwortet email Anfragen in kürzester Zeit, hat immer einen Tipp parat und hilf, wo er kann. Danke Mikael! Ein solcher Aufenthalt lebt eben auch von dem Gastgeber. Wir würden gerne wieder hier Urlaub machen.

Great family vacation

This is a great house for a large group. It’s convenient to Stockholm by car or ferry. The area is beautiful and quiet but close to everything. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the house.

Fantastic!

Our family of 5 had a great time at the house of Mikael and Johanna in Saltsjö-Boo! The house and garden are beautiful, there is a lot of space and everything is well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped. The view is awesome. It is easy to travel to Stockholm by ferry. Mikael and Johanna are perfect hosts: they are incredibly nice and helpful with everything. Mikael took us on a boat trip to Stockholm and explained a lot about the city. He put down the anchor and we had a swim and a picnic on board. I hope we can come back soon! We can't recommend this place enough. Thank you very much Mikael and Johanna! Annick

Perfect holidays

I do not know where to begin: in the villa you find everything you need, the view is breathtaking, you have the possibility to use the sauna and another sauna at a near lake, there are kayaks you can borrow, the jacuzzi to warm up after a bath in the baltic sea ... But the most impressing thing were our hosts, we have never had such a friendly welcome, if there was a problem it was solved in the shortest time and Johanna and Mikael explained us everything we were interested in and even more. Best recommendation for swedish hostility!

Ein verlängertes Wochenende mit Freunden in den Schären

Wir waren mit insgesamt fünf Freunden im Haus von Mikael und Johanna zu Gast. Sowohl Mikael, der leider an unserem Ankunftstag nach Nizza musste, als auch Johanna (seine Frau) waren sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und immer telefonisch erreichbar! Das half bei allen Angelegenheiten, die sich in den Tagen ergaben. - Das Haus ist fantastisch gelegen und entspricht auch insgesamt allen hinterlegten Bildern! Ich erwähne das, denn gelegentlich sind Bilder geschönt oder Unschönes verdeckt. Das ist hier absolut nicht der Fall. Ich möchte sowohl die Hilfsbereitschaft, Engagement als auch die Freundlichkeit der Vermieter an dieser Stelle hervorheben. Grundsätzlich würde ich gerne jeder Zeit mit meiner Familie hier Urlaub machen und würde mich gut betreut und von einem tollen Haus mit ausgezeichnetem Ausblick umrahmt fühlen! A truly beautiful holiday house near Stockholm

Before we arrived the owners sent many messages about arriving and our stay in Stockholm, giving us information about ferry travel and things to see. The house is a truly stunning Swedish property, as soon as your in you’ll feel at home. Stunning views of the sea and cruise ships passing by. A spacious, well equipped house. All the family really enjoyed the short break we had there. Would definitely rent again in the summertime to use the boat to explore all the amazing islands. What a great stereo system really enjoyed listen to music in this house it has great acoustics. Thanks Very much Regards Andy

A Perfect Week

We had a wonderful time visiting Sweden. We loved having such a beautiful, comfortable home to return to after sightseeing every day. We never even had to drive into the city- took the water taxi from Hasseludden every time, which was so convenient. The views from the back patio are amazing. We could sit there for hours watching ships go by. The yard is so nice; saw deer and rabbits every day. Our boys liked walking down the hill to the water and searching for sea glass and skipping stones. One of the things we were so appreciative of was the nice dark curtains and shades on the windows so we weren't woken up by the sun at 4 a.m. The owner met us when we arrived and showed us around. We felt very welcomed and "at home" in the house. We would highly recommend this house to anyone, and we would definitely stay here again the next time we come to Sweden. Thank You!

The perfect getaway

Form the moment we booked, it was perfection. Mikael and Johanna were very responsive to any questions and were always offering help and suggestions. The house is beautifully decorated with the most magical view from the hill looking over the water. The dock and small beach were a favorite amongst the 6 children. It was secluded, yet so easy to get into Stockholm by ferry or by car. We would highly recommend booking your holiday in this gorgeous home!

Spectacular Opulence - This property and host Mikael are truly one of a kind!

WOW !!! There were 12 of us that went to Stockholm for the Summer Solstice and could not have asked for a better location – scenic views, eclectic downtown and an island that you can boat to with restaurants, bars and history. We rented out the main house that had a fantastic layout and HUGE kitchen and outdoor grill. We all could get together as a group, enjoy conversation and cook. We also rented the boat and boat house – an absolute must on the boat. This way you can enjoy the waterways and incredible beauty. Mikael was an excellent host and took his time to show us all of the great things around the house and provided some local inside info on fun places to visit. We are already planning our return visit!
