Lovely repeat stay
This was our second stay -- the fact that we wanted to return says it all. A lovely place. We are sure to go again at some point.

Lovely property within fantastic quiet surroundings. We stayed in orchard cottage with hot tub which was great, also secluded garden for our dog, plenty to do including tennis and table tennis. Lovely walks directly from the property and so peaceful, only thing we heard was the farm peacocks and ducks on a morning at feeding time. We loved the log fire and cottage was so cosy. Only thing I could recommend is new mattress which would have made the stay even more comfortable than it already was but minor detail really.

AMAZING PLACE

A Little Gem in the Countryside
We absolutely loved the consistent level of tranquility throughout our stay. The host, Olivia, was attentive whenever we required anything or had any queries. The property is very comfortable, cosy and has an air of warmth that leaves you feeling relaxed and refreshed when you leave. Being surrounded by ducks, peacocks and birdsong made our experience that much more special. The grounds are expansive and really taken care of by the owners. We had so much fun on the tennis court, which made for the perfect entertainment during our stay. We just wish that we had stayed there for longer than a week. In the future, we would very much love to return with our dog. It's definitely a place that will leave guests inspired by all the work that the owners have done with the property and land. Thank you for having us.

Heavenly beautiful
This place is a very beautiful place for a quiet holiday/ base to explore cornwal or just relax, plenty for children to explore, Its naturally beautiful and just untouched & safe, the animals are just the highlight of our stay,, The ducks come to say hi every day at the gate, we visited Newquay 45 min drive, lovley, not busy, easy to park, The cottage has everything you need, the garden is beautiful, there is a beach for exploring/walks, we just enjoyed relaxing and the hot tub, its the best stay ive had in a very long time,, total peace & luxury and animals thrown in for free, people who run this place are just lovley, down to earth, helpful, all kinds of stays available, i was actually tearful when leaving, i totally love this place and would go back in a heartbeat, If your after a beautiful, quaint place to stay this is it! Beautiful relaxing location with access to stunning estuary views
Compact cottage ideal for one or two people. It had everything I needed for a relaxing stay tucked away in the countryside with access to local walks and stunning views. The owners were really friendly and helpful, and the pre-prepared meals you can order were delicious. All I needed for a short getaway.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, the location was very good and the cottage was lovely. Our only feedback is that when we arrived there was a little bit of cleaning to be done in the kitchen and while we were a little bit late we were not shown around. The hot tub was great albeit we lost 1 day usage due to the control panel it didn’t fail but it was a bit tricky to work. The main attraction to the property for us was the private beach which was very different to what we expected from the rental description. It was a bit boggy, no water and very difficult to walk on and slippy.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. It would be very helpful if you could please provide us with some details regarding the cleaning issues in the kitchen? It is a bit of a shock that you found problems as mostly the feedback we get is excellent (in just the past month other guests have commented ‘cleanliness of property superb’, ‘very clean’, ‘Not a single fault!’, “it was all superb and every detail taken care of”). I don’t remember you arriving particularly late (from recollection it was late afternoon / early evening) when I came to welcome you. My apologies that my introduction fell short of your expectations. Hopefully you found everything from the detailed information pack and maps left in the property. The team were available during your stay and would have been able to help with any questions. It was great that after enjoying a dip in the hot tub the information pack helped you identify that you had then turned the hot tub into sleep mode and that we were able to put this back on for you while you were out for the day. The river is tidal (it is fed by the sea so ebbs and flows with the tides). When the tide is out, the water line recedes and exposes the mud flats (when you can watch all the amazing birds move in to feed) – when the tide is in, the water reaches the sea wall. The path to the river beach can get a bit wet during inclement weather which is part of the reason we have an extensive selection of wellies available for guests to use while out exploring the countryside.

Superb & comfortable weekend away in Idylic
From arrival to leaving, the cottage was an idyllic get away from noise and cars and super to come back to after we went out for a day when the weather allowed. Comfy, warm, everything you need. A superb bathroom and a great hot tub which was used across the stay whilst watching the ducks go by! Great local eggs from the ducks and hens. There’s also a beautiful peacock and peahen, to sit and admire! We order food for our arrival and some extras, it was all superb and every detail taken care of. Thank you Olivia, a special birthday weekend indeed.

Amazing property
Stayed at the cottage for our 25th wedding anniversary, when we arrived we had a card and a cake left for us also milk so we could have a cuppa. Beautiful cottage with everything you would need for your stay with beautiful views and walks to go on. Hot tub was amazing just lovely early evening with a glass of wine. Would recommend this place for any romantic get away. Had a wonderful time and hopefully book the bigger cottage to bring the children with us.

Staycation
Overall we really enjoyed our stay on Lower Marsh Farm - it was beautiful and so lovely to be able to walk around and see the other animals. We personally drove to other places during our stay as there isn't a huge amount to do in the immediate area, but it was lovely coming back to the peace of the cottage and sitting in the afternoon sun in the hot tub.

Hi Katie, Thank you for your review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your time with us. Yes, the hot tub is a delightful place to enjoy the afternoon sun and great to hear you enjoyed this too. We are sorry you didn't feel there was much for you to do in the immediate area. We do have our games room just through the courtyard, which is furnished with books, DVD's and board games, as well as table tennis for when the weather is against us. And for outside activities we have our flood-lit tennis court, our private shingle beach (ideal for treasure hunting and exploring) and our orchard and woodland walks, which offer something different each season. Blissful
Easy to follow directions from the owners, who greeted us on arrival. Inside was an unexpected welcome basket of delicious local goodies! The cottage is small but well equipped with everything we needed, in a perfect quiet location with dog walks galore, which is a must with 2 fairly unsociable dogs.. apologies to the resident golden boy who kept waiting at our gate for a play date!! All in all a wonderful stay in wonderful environmentally conscious surroundings. Watch out for the bedtime duck routine..its so sweet and was the highlight of every day...

Amazing Trip!
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Orchard Cottage for 2 weeks and had such an amazing time. The property as a whole was perfect with all it had to offer. The cottage itself was absolutely perfect as well. We went in the hot tub almost every night. Olivia is a great host and is super nice. She had a little basket of goodies waiting for us when we arrived! Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend this property! Would love to come back! Thank you Olivia!!

Peace!
Lovely host and lovely cottage, I took my hubby and 2 dogs to lower Marsh farm over the new year and we had such a relaxed few days, Olivia had left out a lovely welcome gift of apple juice and brownies which were divine! She also had dog bowls, towels and poo bags for the doggies! Oh and the Christmas tree was such a delight to have. The area itself is lovely with plenty of walks and only a short drive to a local supermarket... stock up on way as you'll probably not want to leave the cottage unless for a stroll :)

Lower Marsh Farm was a perfect base for us to stay with our four small dogs & Orchard Cottage was absolutely lovely. Really clean, secure garden (for our dogs) & the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Had a great week there & intend to come back.

Erholung auf dem Land
Wir hatten zwei wunderschöne Wochen im Orchard Cottage. Olivia ist eine tolle Gastgeberin und wir wurden bei der Ankunft herzlich begrüßt. Im Cottage warteten frische Blumen und ein Begrüßungskorb mit Leckereien von der Farm und aus Cornwall auf uns. Das Cottage ist bestens ausgestattet und auch bei schlechtem Wetter kann man sich sehr gut vermachen. Wir werden mit Sicherheit noch einmal auf die Farm fahren.

Perfect Stay at Orchard Cottage
Olivia and her team at Lower Marsh Farm have thought of everything you could possibly want in a self-catered stay! We stayed for 3 days as a mini-moon after our wedding to get some peace and quiet and relax after our stressful two day wedding, and we were not disappointed! I was able to book some romantic extras upon our arrival at the cottage such as rose petals on the bed, and a breakfast in bed hamper, and we were also surprised to find some delicious “Mr & Mrs” chocolate cakes left for us in the fridge which was so thoughtful! I paid for regular breakfast for the 2 others mornings we were there, which when coupled with the leftover food from our hamper from the first morning, we had plenty to eat! I also ordered a dinner for one night which was the most delicious fish pie I have ever had! And there was enough left over for dinner for the next night! I also ordered a goats cheese, sweet potato and caramelised onion tart for lunch one day, which again was enough to feed us both for two days. There was a picnic blanket and basket we could have used to take for a picnic up the woods but it was too wet. We lighted the wood burner every night when it got chilly, and loved the small collection of DVDs - most of which we hadn’t seen yet! We enjoyed playing some board games, we would’ve loved a couple more to choose from! The hot tub in our garden was amazing, it was like a bath tub it was so warm! Despite being in the middle of the farm, we felt so secluded. It was lovely having the ducks and hens around the pond just over the fence, we loved listening to them quack and chirp, and watching the little ducklings waddle around. We enjoyed walking up through the private woods and exploring the area, even though it was really muddy! We had a quick peek into the games room, the table tennis table was a good idea, what could have made it better would be if there were more board games in there, and even a mini pool table or foosball table! Unfortunately it was too wet for us to use the tennis court, otherwise we would have! Finally, I had organised some pampering treatments with the lovely Lily Russell in the well room which were absolutely amazing! Such a bonus to help us relax and de-stress at the end of our mini moon, and she was so professional and really knew her stuff, would highly recommend booking her! All in all a fantastic stay and would definitely book again!
