Amazing! A home away from home!

Everything was even better than expected. Comfortable beds and furniture. Everything you needed to have an amazing trip. Plenty of room to spread out. We will definitely be back!!

Great access point with all the amenities

Great place, very comfortable for two families of four. Location for skiing was excellent! Only downsides were the road noise as it backs onto a busy road and neighbor noise as it is a condo. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

We love it here! 3 times and still charming!

We love the Modern Moose! This is our 3rd stay at this property. Shay, your host is responsive and kind ( although we’ve never had any issues) The home is always cleans and comfortable. The location can’t be beat with quick access to both canyons and this year we even made a day trip to Snow Basin with ease. Thanks for a fabulous place to stay!

Great house, great location

This house is perfect for family gatherings. The kitchen is well equipped. The house is as advertised in its listing. It is very convenient to the Cottonwood Canyon resorts as well as to Salt Lake City. It's well cared for, and we enjoyed our stay.

Modern Moose is a must!!

Everything about our stay at The Modern Moose was excellent! It was the perfect place for our annual friends ski trip. The house is lovely, comfortable and centrally located. An easy drive up the mountain to skiing and a short drive to stores and restaurants. We loved the basement with games, the hot tub and the extremely comfortable couch after a day of skiing. Shay was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back next year!!

Family Ski Trip

Family of 5 adults stayed at Modern Moose for our yearly ski trip. The house was beautiful and had everything we could have needed. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and the hot tub was perfect after days on the slopes. The full sized washer and dryer was so appreciated. The host was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. We will be back.

Perfect vacay home

Beautifully designed, great lay out. The owner Shay is responsive and kind. Great kitchen to cook in. Loved the big table so our whole family could eat together. Basement with games was a big hit. Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving at the Moose

We had a wonderful stay at the Modern Moose for the week of Thanksgiving. The house is adorable and was just perfect for us! It is in a beautiful location, it looks just like it does in the photos, it was really spread out and roomy, and we cooked up a storm. It really felt like a home away from home. It was spotless, and seamless as far as figuring things out. Communication with the owner was very timely to answer any of our questions. It truly was a great find! I'd love to stay there again!

Excellent Work Retreat

6 colleagues got together for both productive collaboration and leisure time. The house was spacious, very well appointed and convenient to beautiful hikes. We all agreed we would love to come back to the Modern Moose!

A beautiful condo 20 minutes - or less - from hiking and wildlife

Early August, we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful condo and were especially grateful for responsiveness of hosts/owners. On our hikes we saw moose and beavers, lots of western birds. Highly recommend.

Soccer Tournament Stay

We enjoyed a long weekend stay at the Modern Moose! The house was beautiful and fully accommodated 3 players and their parents! It was clean and fully stocked with kitchen and bathroom items. The condo is also conveniently located within walking distance to an Kroger grocery store and coffee shop! Shay was amazing to work with! Our girls made it out of pool play and went on to play two more days and Shay was flexible in allowing us to stay extra days! We will definitely will be returning to the Modern Moose if the opportunity arises!

Best house ever!

We came from NM and CA for a family reunion and anniversary celebration over Memorial Day weekend. We were delighted to find a fully stocked kitchen with lots of room for all of us to cook. We were so pleased to find enough real plates and silverware for all of us. The house has so much room that we could be together when we wanted and alone when we wanted. The hot tub was warm and bubbly. Every bedside has a USB charger! Everything we could have wished for was there. Additionally, if it was ski season, the Snow Bus stop is just across the street. Grocery store nearby. It was the best ever!

Mother’s Day Weekend

Enjoyed a long weekend in Utah to see our son who now lives in SLC and our daughter from Vegas joined us. We had a great weekend and appreciated their beautiful & comfortable home. Had everything we needed for meal prep and family games. Lots of space and great location for our hikes, park city visit, and time in SLC.

A reunion to remember!

This rental was the home base for our 10 year college reunion and it was totally perfect! The house comfortably slept 8 adults. Over the weekend, we had an intimate dinner with fifteen people, we played party games, and we had a big dessert open house with additional friends and family. It was the ideal rental in every way. Perfect for hosting and catching up with loved ones.

Wonderful Home

This is a fantastic townhome which our family of 5 really enjoyed! It’s a great space for visiting Brighton, Solitude, Alta, Snowbird and the Nordic center as we did for skiing, snowboarding and cross country + snowshoeing. The 4 bedrooms and 2 large, very comfortable sectionals were amazing while we made good use of the large and very well stocked kitchen for breakfast and dinner. Really appreciated the large kitchen table. The hot tub and basement activities were fantastic for our evenings. We really liked the style of this place and appreciated it’s touches like the boot dryer and garage ski rack. Our oldest, less experienced daughter did very well at Solitude with greens and blues. We had wonderful fresh powder. We don’t recommend Snowbird unless you’ve had fresh snow, it’s steep and gets dangerously icy. We will be back!! This is our 4th time in 2 years to the area. It’s just gorgeous and the ski resorts so easy and quick to drive to ( they do close road for 3 hours if an avalanche covers parts of the road, pay attention to U Dot. But snow removal is very efficient here!) The Modern Moose is amazing!!

Great place for family time!

Modern Moose was a great home base for our family over a long ski trip. The kitchen made it easy to cook big meals, the dining room table let us all sit together, and the bedrooms offered good spaces to rest/relax. Thanks for providing a great place for family time! There were many small things we liked: -modern and well-designed interior with plenty of space for our family of 8 -comfortable beds/linens -large dining room table that seats 10 -very cozy living room couch -well equipped kitchen -convenient location for getting to ski slopes -easy parking for 3 cars (including garage space for 1 medium-sized vehicle) -there are lots of hiking trails nearby as well as a park -ski boot/glove dryer -good washer/dryer -the driveway was quickly shoveled after a big storm A few things to be aware of: -the home is right on Wasatch Blvd, which generates quite a bit of road noise all day/night especially in one of the upstairs bedrooms -the hot tub is set at 91 degrees when you arrive; be sure to turn it up a few hours before you want to hop in -there's only one thermostat for the whole house, but the temperature stays fairly even throughout; bedrooms can get a little chilly at night but the blankets are warm

We love the Moose!

We have stayed at this property twice and it has been awesome both times. The property owner is super easy to communicate with and is very attentive. The property is a perfect location for skiing both canyons and has plenty of space for everyone. It’s clean and nice and truly has everything you need!

Does not disappoint!

Stayed here with a friend group to hit the slopes and it was one of the best places we've rented in SLC in our 10+ year run. Very convenient access to both canyon roads/resorts and the renovations in the home are much better than the rest of the rental stock in the area. Will definitely look to book again when we're back in the area.
