We loved our stay at Hotel Laurin. The property is far more impressive than the pictures let on. It’s a stunning building with beautiful and historic common areas. We really loved having breakfast on the patio overlooking the lake in the morning. The staff were very hospitable and helped us book a great boat rental. We were also treated to a free upgrade and loved our renovated room with the lake view.

Great stay
Amazing staff nothing to much trouble.lovely room with balcony facing the lake,view is spectacular. Pool area clean and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Une jolie adresse que nous avons eu la chance de redécouvrir. Quelques petits bémols au niveau de l'insonorisation des chambres (fenêtres) et une cuisine qui nous a un peu moins transportée.

Beautiful property! The combination of the old and preserve building together with the modern design of the room makes this hotel one of the most beautiful hotels I have been in. The location is also perfect! And the staff is awesome. Will defiantly return to this place.

What a stunning property. It was so charming and the breakfast was wonderful! The town of Salo was also beautiful. Lots to see and eat. All of the staff were king and helpful.

Stilecht durch und durch
Wunderbare Villa in der einfach alles passt. Aufmerksame und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter in einem wirklich unglaublich gediegenen Ambiente. Bis hin zu den passenden Möbeln wurde kein Detail dem Zufall überlassen. Eine Zeitreise. Einzig die Matratzen sind zu hart, um die Schulter einsinken zu lassen.

Aristokratisch Wohnen, ohne auf modernen Luxus zu
Alte, gut erhaltenen Villa mit renovierten Zimmern und sämtlichem Komfort. Viel italienischer Charme und Ausstrahlung! Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung und zudem sehr sauber. Überschaubare Gästezahl mit sehr ruhiger Atmosphäre. Nur selten Kinder. Kleiner aber sympathischer Garten. Manchmal (bei Stau) kann der Verkehr der angrenzenden Strasse schon nerven (Lärm & Abgase)!

Given a can of deodorant to cover room smell. The bathroom had a terrible smell. We asked to move rooms but were told that there were none available, which was clearly not the case as they have all the room keys on display (this was at midnight so more than likely everyone was in their rooms). We were also given a nice table over looking the lake for breakfast, but after going to the buffet, another guest sat at the table and the staff decided that we were the ones that should be moved. It felt as though we were being treated differently because we were 40 years younger than the rest of the guests. Hotel is beautiful inside & out, the breakfast is great and it's in a lovely spot, however unless you're 75 on a coach tour, you can likely find somewhere better... If you do stay in the area, go to Ristorante Pizzeria Papillon!

Sehr angenehmes Hotel mit kleinen Schwächen. Zimmer top sauber und modern, Personal nett und zuvorkommend, Parksituation absolut ok. Wer allerdings Ruhe sucht wird durch die Hauptstraße vor der Tür enttäuscht. Weiterhin könnte das Frühstücksbüffet etwas abwechslungsreicher sein denn wer längere Zeit als Gast im Hotel weilt, könnte vor dem immer gleichen Angebote am Morgen eine Abneigung entwickeln. Getränke aus der „ Bar“ eher hochpreisig aber man findet auf der nahegelegenen Promenade sehr schöne Alternativen.

Home sweet home.
Amazing location with views of the lake while having an excellent breakfast. Service and cleanliness exceptional with 3 min walk to the centre of Salo. Front desk , Dinning room and room service can’t fault at all. Just great value. Will stay there from now on when going to lake Garda.

Hotel Laurin in Salò was truly stunning. A combination of beautifully preserved original features throughout the building, together with very tastefully decorated rooms, fitted with high quality bathrooms and furniture. The staff could not have be more attentive, yet still maintaining a perfectly relaxed atmosphere. Ten out of ten! I would also highly recommend an evening dining in the delicious Magnolia restaurant overlooking the lake. A fabulous hotel that really made our holiday to Italy that little bit more special.

Wonderful staff, beautiful property and hotel grounds. Newly renovated. Public facilities could easily be 5 stars, rooms are at a very good 4-star level (immaculate, just not 5 stars - but they don't claim to be a 5-star hotel either). Breakfast could be better: E.g. when you order an omelette, you just get a plain, bland omelette - no spices, no vegetables, nothing. The presentation is just sad. You need to specifically ask for tomatoes etc., but even then, they don't have mushrooms. But hey, Italy isn't exactly known for good breakfast, and I feel they are trying very hard. All the staff are truly wonderful. The only true complaint is the busy main road that is right in front of the hotel. At least in high season, it can get really noisy with motorcycles and scooters speeding past. We found it very difficult to relax by the pool - unless you bring earplugs, which sort of defeats the purpose. This is the only reason I wouldn't stay here again. But this applies to every hotel or restaurant along this road. Not sure what the planners were thinking when they built the road there. The rooms were perfectly quiet 24/7, though, and there's little traffic at night. If you don't care about the noise (or if you will be venturing out during the day anyway), I can really recommend the hotel. Especially at the price point compared to other hotels in the area.
