Our second stay - loved everything (again !). Beautiful and convenient location - just hang-out or walk locally - or head off to nearby sights.Pristine, comfortable and very well equipped.Hosts are great - very easy to deal with and very helpful.

Perfect Getaway

Beautiful, modern style. Well equipped & comfortable. Location perfect for secluded relaxation and also close to walks and local sightseeing. Astrid very friendly and helpful - made us feel very welcome. We plan to go back again.

Great family stay at the Tack Room

We spent a lovely long weekend at the Tack Room. It is in a beautiful location, and was clean, quiet, comfortable and well appointed - with everything you could need. The owners, Astrid & mark, were welcoming and helpful, and it was nice to arrive to fresh milk from the local dairy and a delicious lemon drizzle cake. We were a family of 5 adults and 1 baby, and the accommodation.

Nice cottage!

We can look back at a nice and comfortable stay at the Tack Room. Nicely situated in the New Forest: just cross the street and stroll around in a beautiful landscape (don’t forget to bring your wellies). A very clean, warm and quiet place. Complete kitchen, but with limited storage space for a family of seven. Comfortable beds, but a bit too short for my length.wifi is fast (Starlink) and reliable.

An excellent New Forest retreat

We stayed at the Tack Room in the High Forest Cottage to meet up with Daughter in Law and Grandchildren. The Tack Room is well laid out, well furnished and cosy with underfloor heating. It worked very well for us with a large dining table on which to play family games. We will definitely return.

Happy New Year

We had a lovely time in Wiltshire. Astrid was very welcoming and quick to respond to questions and requests. We were a group of 7 + 1 baby staying in the Tack Room. There was more than enough space, whether it was for sleeping, eating, or lounging about. Astrid also provided a cot for the little one which was very handy. We split our time driving to places in Sailsbury and relaxing inside. It was 100% exactly what we wanted and couldn't recommend the stay more.

Luxury cottage in the New forest

Our group was 4 adults and 2 children (5 & 8) and we stayed in late May. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable and more on the firm side. The property is right on the edge of the New Forest and you can take walks straight from the cottage. We saw ponies everyday we were there without ever getting in the car. The host was helpful, friendly and answered any queries quickly. The nearby wildlife sanctuary is a good with kids, if you have them. Very excited to return here for another visit

We visited as grandparents with our son and daughter in law plus 2 year old and 10 month old twins! Lovely part of New Forest. Great walks. Well appointed cottage. Lots of space and great furniture and fittings. Nice touches like organic soap, eco friendly toilet roll, tea bags, washing up liquid etc. Spotlessly clean and fresh.Great position for touring round. We visited Peppa Pig World, New Forest Wildlife Park and Salisbury. All very accessible journeys. The only thing missing for us was a charging point for our electric vehicle - but we managed with nearby options.Thank you.

A perfect spring break

The Tack Room offered ideal accommodation for a spring break in the New Forest. It was very well fitted-out and suited our family group extremely well. The location was very convenient too.

Beautiful accommodation in superb location

Thoughtfully designed and equipped with very comfortable beds. Everything was presented to the highest standards and additional touches made us feel like valued guests.

The location of High Forest Cottages is fantastic, our stay was perfect. Astrid was a perfect host.

We used 'Tack cottage' as our base whilst attending a family wedding nearby. Having grown up near the New Forest and since moved away to Bristol returning for a weekend, to actually be able to stay within the forest, was a real treat. We had Deer bouncing across the road before arriving at the cottages and then actually saw them grazing in the field beyond.... The nearby villages are lovely and with It positioned nicely between Romsey, Salisbury and Southampton it was perfect for catching up with our family and friends. The Barn @Barford Farm was a great location for the Wedding of my niece. High Forest cottages the perfect location to be. A fantastic time was had at the wedding and a Beautiful relaxing experience was had in the lovely Tack Cottage... we could want for no more. Thank-You Astrid for a fantastic stay. Looking forward to our next time soon x
