We enjoyed the location, and walked to town for dinner and checked out the MTB trails just across the river. The place is clean and comfortable.

I would have given this place five stars: it’s close to downtown and a very short walk from the finish line of the Run Through Time marathon (which I was there to do). But, shortly after we got home the host messaged me that we had a dog with us (we didn’t) and that their cleaner said “there was pet hair everywhere.” First of all, we did NOT have a dog, and second of all, we left the place exactly as we found it.Furthermore, the host asked me for an additional 50 because “the cleaner didn’t expect to be there that long cleaning” and wanted to collect this money OFF OF THE VRBO PLATFORM. The host’s message didn’t even include the name “Venmo” or “Zelle” in the message for fear VRBO would flag it. (Rather, they used “**********” so their message wouldn’t be flagged. I reported the false claim AND their wanting to collect money off VRBO immediately. Don’t fall victim to a sketchy host or scam. Too bad. Could have been a great place.

Wow, Location is amazing.

This property located within easy walking distance to downtown and the river walk. We had everything we needed to cook many meals. Great layout in the home and the art on the walls is like sleeping in a gallery.

Great place, we’ll be back

Kids enjoyed playing at the Riverside Park playground before and after meals. Quick and easy access to Monarch. We will be back next year for more fun and relaxation. Location and price of this place are unbeatable. Host is quick to respond to questions.

Salida weekend getaway

Dvora’s place was perfect for my husband and I. It’s a great old charming home with a nice backyard with a view of Tenderfoot Mtn. The location is a couple of blocks from shops and restaurants yet is on a very quiet street. Check in/out was easy. Dvora responded quickly to messages. We will be back! Thank you!

Amazing property all around

The property is adorable. It felt like staying in a little art museum. The artwork is extraordinary. The property is well adorned with all of the necessary essentials plus. The location can't be beat. It is on a quiet street one block from the river and about three blocks from downtown. A plethora of shopping and dining within close walking distance. The grocery store was also close. We had a vehicle but never had to drive in town since everything was so close. We did drive to Monarch to ski, which was a short drive. There was a large back yard with bikes available. The washer and dryer, along with detergent, was very useful. The fireplace in the front room made everything cozy and warm. There are no cons to this property at all. A very strong 10 out of 10.

Great location near Salida downtown

We had a great stay at this small cottage near downtown Salida. Walking distance to everywhere. Across the street from the police station and an EV charging station, so it's very safe, secure and quiet. The unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely book again.

Great place, convenient for exploring

Our family of four stayed here in early January for a ski trip to Monarch. The small house is as advertised, and worked well for us. It is clean, thoughtfully outfitted, and comfortable. Parking is easy, and it was nice to be able to walk to the downtown businesses and to a small park and playground by the river. The owner was friendly and helpful.
