"As seasoned travelers over decades, both within Australia and OS, we had high expectations for this 2-night stay which were not met, given the price point. This was not a cheap stay, but we were happy to pay for a different 'experience'. Nice area but!
The obvious things included unlike what was advertised about "Free Wi-Fi. Available in the cottage" it didn't exist. We didn't even have mobile reception unless we walked to the 'Telstra pole' (their written advice in room) at next property where...

"The new owner, who was also the one who attended us at the reception, is not a pleasant person, not very decisive and has a very bad attitude. I had just finished checking in and giving my credit card for a security deposit, when the owner told me that the water coming out of the pipes is not good, that it comes out brown and that I can shower without any problem but that I should not brush my teeth with that water. "Great location - directly opposite tessellated pavement and a short walk to the sandy beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. Booked a Mountain View Superior King Room. Room was very clean and tidy. Bit on the small side, but very fresh (recently renovated) and comfortable. Room had no A/C, even though advertised that it did - this made the room a bit stuffy overnight. Dined at restaurant - staff very friendly, prompt service, and very good meal. Plenty of onsite parking, though...
