Located in a rural hamlet nestled between forests and pastures, the Gîte l'Orée des Sapins is housed in the main building of the family farmhouse, near the Pilat Regional Natural Park.

Nearby: Dunières (5 km) with its greenway, railbike, tourist train, and all shops and services; St-Didier-en-Velay (12 km) with its medieval village and fishing at the Péchoire lake; and Riotord (8 km) with its Boutières Ecomuseum. The separate entrance leads to a garage, and a few steps provide access to the first floor, which comprises a living room with a kitchenette and a closed fireplace (firewood available for an extra €3 per basket), one bedroom (one double bed), a shower room, and a toilet.

The second floor, a mezzanine level, has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and a cot, and the other with two single beds.

Outside, an open courtyard (100 m²) and a pétanque court are separated from the cottage by a small path.

Via the RN88, exit towards Dunières. Continue in the direction of St-Romain-Lachalm and follow the D23., cross the hamlet of Chambaud, the gîte is on the right at the exit of the village, on the right of a small gravelled path.
