Family Weekend Getaway

Last year we stayed her to celebrate my parents 60th birthday. My siblings and I all live in different provinces so it was the perfect spot to reunite. We enjoyed our time so much we did it again this and it once again did not disappoint. We are already looking forward to going again next year.

Canadian Sunsets

The 5 of us had a wonderful vacation. The sunsets were spectacular and the stargazing amazing. We particularly liked walking on the beach, which was just a short stroll from the house.

Living in the Dunes on PEI's North Shore

Wherever you go in those stunning beach house, you can't get away from the fact that you are nestled gently into a breathtaking stretch of PEI's north shore sand dunes. The views from all angles, all rooms, all deck levels is gorgeous and you truly feel part of the landscape. The cottage is executed wonderfully and was fully equipped with everything we could've dreamt of needing on our family vacation, including a cocktail shaker. The kitchen is top notch and allowed for preparation of several family dinners with multiple guests working away at the same time. Despite the openness of the space and the feeling of always being connected to the outside, even while inside, there were enough nooks to settle into to catch some quiet time from the group. Would 100% recommend and hope to return with our crew several times over.

Family beach vacation

We had an amazing week at the beach house. The beach was beautiful and not busy at all. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and had lots of space for our large family of seven. We hope to be back next summer!

Paradise.

Perfection. This is the review you never want to write because you’re afraid it will become so popular that you can’t stay there again. There is not just everything you can think of - there’s even more than that. Towels, TP, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, tissues, plates, cutlery, napkins, placemats - EVERYTHING and lots of it. Comfy beds and furniture. Everything you need for the beach. The views, the beach, the sunrises and sunsets - heavenly. Great recommendations, communication and information. Truly perfect in every way.

The Ultimate Property for a PEI Golf Getaway

There was nothing about this rental that doesn’t come as advertised! The beach house exceeded our groups expectations in terms of amenities and all of the spaces within the rental. Everything we needed for our stay was provided and the beach house accommodates groups perfectly with large gathering areas and multiple spaces for people to congregate. The natural beauty and views that can be taken in from the beach house simply don’t translate in pictures. There are 360 degree picturesque landscapes to be taken in from the beach houses large windows and multiple patios. Access to an outdoor fire pit was a huge hit with our group, and exploring the beach daily is made easy with public access a few meters from the property. Some other great things to note are: - The carriage house offers a great space to store golf clubs or outdoor equipment. - The bedding, sheets, and provided towels are of high quality and comfort. - The kitchen is well stocked with necessary cookware to prepare any type of meal. - There are great private spaces for reading, working remote, or taking in some quiet time (even with a large group present) - Everything about the interaction and communication with the owner was prompt, professional, helpful, and streamlined. - The Beach House is a great central location to get to golf course all around the island, with top public golf destinations less than 10 mins away. We could not have enjoyed our stay more!

Birthday Celebration

My siblings and I rented this place for a family vacation to celebrate both our parents turning 60! The house was amazing. It was very clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the amazing decks watching bothe the sunrise and sunset. We fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach. It was so much fun we decided we would try and make it an annual thing. We can’t wait to hopefully be back next year.

What a view!

We had a great time! The beach was only a short walk away and the house was very comfortable with enough room for us all. The bunk room was a big hit with the teens! The owner was very responsive when we had questions. We loved our time there and wouldn't hesitate to return!

Idyllic home away from home

This home is just stunning! The decor seems right out of a magazine and the location us superb. Just a couple minutes walk to a perfect beach. Home owners were super helpful and responsive. Paradise in PEI

Better than advertised! Everything a family needs to enjoy the kilometers of pristine, undiscovered beach is here. Kitchen is well stocked and bedding was top shelf. Lots of room and privacy for larger groups. The house is immaculately maintained and our hosts were always available and accommodating. Big check mark on this bucket list item!

Magic!

Our family of 4 (kids ages 9 and 10) stayed at the beautiful Sea Dunes cottage for one week in July 2023. The property is just as beautiful as shown in photos, but the view is even more spectacular! Only a few minutes walk to the best beach in PEI. Everything you could ever need for a perfect beach vacation! Even on the rainy days there were so many cozy spaces to curl up with a book, or let the kids have some screen time. They have truly thought of everything. Excellent communication with Peter. We can’t wait to go back!

Stunning beach house right on the dunes!!

This was the perfect place to stay with a few families traveling with young kids. The beach house was three stories high and suited our three families well. Lots of space for the kids to play inside on rainy days and a short walk to the most incredible beach I have ever seen on PEI! The house was well stocked with everything you would want to take down to the beach including a wagon to pull the younger kids. We wished we had booked more time and are definitely planning to go back!

Exceptional family vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at this well equipped, beautifully decorated beach house! The beach was beautiful and our weather more like mid summer. We enjoyed traveling around the island and highly recommend the Greenwich Dunes trail and the Sea Shack for lunch! The docks at Charlottetown also a lovely place to have a meal. We played all of the fun games in the house and even managed completion of a jigsaw puzzle. Beds were comfortable, water was hot and the sunsets from the decks will never be forgotten. Peter and Margaret were very responsive to any questions! Thank you for sharing this amazing spot with our family!

Pure Magic

Sea Dunes Beach House is easily one of the best rentals we’ve stayed in. Peter and Margaret are wonderful hosts - very prompt and easy to communicate with. The house itself is on one of the most beautiful beaches in PEI and the views from the deck can’t be beat. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the house and it is fully stocked with everything you could ever need. A great deal of thought went into making this home welcoming and comfortable for guests. A truly wonderful getaway with my family!

Outstanding beach house for the family getaway.

A week's stay was not long enough! Everyone in our group of eight loved the house, would definitely recommend. Loved the large common areas for meals and games and also appreciated the many separate nooks for time away from the group. Very well laid out! The kids loved having a floor to themselves downstairs, so did the parents 👍. The views of the ocean sunsets during our BBQ dinners on the balcony will be cherished memories. Also The beach and swimming is perfect. Thank you Peter for being so quick to respond to any questions and for the smooth stay!

Family reunion by the sea

Ten of us and a dog (ages 2-75) stayed at the gorgeous beach house. It was perfect for our multi-generational family. Not pictured on the VRBO site is a lovely screen-in porch that got a lot of use! We took advantage of the well-stocked kitchen and local seafood (the scallops, lobster, and clams were amazing). We spent a lot of time at the beach, a short walk up the road. The carriage house has everything you need for a great beach day: two wagons, umbrellas, chairs, towels, sand toys, etc. The house also has a great selection of kids books, games, and some toys. When there was an issue (a storm blew a screen down) the caretaker was there immediately to fix it (and allowed my precocious 5 year-old to "help" which made his day). The house is well cared for, and the owners have thought of everything. We had an amazing time at the house!

Amazing house, location and owners

This is an amazing house. It is clean, well stocked and the decor is gorgeous. It did not take us long to get settled in and feel like we were home. The bathrooms are very spacious, which is wonderful when you have an infant. My little girl loved playing on the balconies. The views from the balconies and loft are unimaginable. We commented several times that the view did not look real. Peter and Margaret are wonderful owners. We had a few questions that they answered very promptly. The location is also fantastic. It is very private. It is about a 4 minute walk to the beach. The beach is also very private because there is no place for the public to park. I would recommend this property to everyone. My family did not want to leave and we are hoping to plan another trip here soon.
