"Wir haben eine sehr schöne und erholsame Zeit in einem sehr schönen und ruhig gelegenen Ferienhaus in der Vendée verbracht und genossen. Das Wetter war sehr sonnig und warm, so dass wir viele Aktivitäten in der Umgebung durchführen und unsere Freunde in der Vendée besuchen konnten. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Urlaub. "We enjoyed our stay in this lovely little property. It is peaceful, except unfortunately the neighbour chose to build a new drive, which took a week and a half to finish with diggers and lorries working all day. But, we were out everyday so it didn’t really matter too much. Everything in the Gite was spotless, we had everything we wanted. Not far from the beach.Veillon Plage is beautiful and has 3 bars If you are fit and heathy it is walkable or a cyclist I think would do it in half an hour....

"Le gîte est une grande maison campagnarde au calme avec un très grand jardin. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable à 2 familles (11 personnes) sans avoir l’impression d’être « les uns sur les autres », ce qui était précieux. Ce gîte de campagne a aussi les défauts de ses qualités (mobilier un peu ancien, débit de l’eau limité quand les 3 douches fonctionnent en même temps), mais il a un indéniable cachet que nous avons beaucoup apprécié."

"The property is well fitted out and has everything one needs for a trouble free and relaxing holiday. I surrounded by farms and hence is peaceful and very quiet at night. Getting bread for breakfast did involve using my car to cover the 2 miles or so to the village. Jard sur Mar is only about 10 miles away and is a lovely seaside town with a fine harbour and is well worth a visit, as are the other towns and villages in the region. I will definitely consider returning in the future."

"Nous avons passé un super séjour en famille. Nous avons été au Futuroscope une journée et une autre à O’fun Park à Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits. Passer du temps au gîte est agréable avec la piscine. Nous n’avons pas pu profiter des terrasses car la météo n’était pas clémente. Les propriétaires habitent sur place et sont très sympas, tout en étant discrets. Bref, je recommande cet endroit."

"We had a wonderful 2 week stay here. The cottage is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It has everything you could need. The pool is fabulous - much bigger than we expected and very clean. Sabine and her family were great - on hand if you needed anything, and very friendly, but otherwise we didn’t really see them at all. A great base for exploring the Vendee (especially its beaches). Would definitely recommend!"

"Compact and comfortable. Well fitted out and storage for our bikes. Michel and Paulette are great hosts, made us very welcome and provided help with local maps and attractions. This GÎTE in their garden is very quiet and peaceful, only 5 min walk to the coast and about 20 mins into town. For us, the attraction was the convenience of the Vendee cycle ways which are minutes away and are great ways to explore north and south of St Gilles on flat firm surfaces. "Our gite was compact and cosy, but with a lovely walk in shower, well stocked and well located. Quiet and friendly site with shared swimming pool, also close to the fine beaches. Our hosts were very accommodating even treating all the guests to hors d’oeuvres and drinks one evening."
