The house is brilliantly equipped and in a fantastic spot for visiting all up and down the coast and inland to Saintes, Pons etc but you could easily while the time away in the pool looking at the views!

Nous avons passé deux semaines agréables dans la jolie maison Rossignol. Elle est sobre mais bénéficie de tous les équipements nécessaires ainsi que d'un très grand calme. Mention spéciale à la belle piscine.Petit bémol: les Velux de la chambre principale ne sont pas équipés de stores et c'est pleine lumière dès l'aube.David, le propriétaire, est attentif et disponible.

Lovely, exactly as described

The property is exactly as described and shown in the photos. A modern well equipped kitchen is elevated with a Nespresso coffee machine. The monsoon showers are great and there are more entertainment systems than you could ever want, especially if you have a variety of ages in your party. Last and by no means least, who doesn’t want a heated private pool surrounded by gardens and cornfields? 5 minutes from the motorway and at most 10 from a great supermarket in Mirambeau, Maison Rossignol is well situated yet also “in the middle of nowhere”. Communication before and during the stay was great. There was a minor issue with the pool on arrival but it sorted out quickly and easily with no input required from us. Thanks for letting us stay.

Vacances au calme

Belle maison ou l on se sent comme a la maison avec tout le necessaire .Tres propre. Les chambres avec les lits simples sont assez grandes avec des rangements. Belle grande cuisine tres claire Chambre principale tres grande et tres claire ainsi que la salle d eau attenante. Malheureusement il n y avait pas de store sur les velux ( casses par dd precedents locataires) Beau salon et confortable mais plus sombre que sur les photos tout comme la 2eme salle d eau . Enfin une vraie grande et belle piscine chauffee a 28° .Un bonheur !!! Surtout lorsque ,comme pour nous ,il fait 22° dehors . Tres calme au milieu d un hameau de quelques maisons ( dommage que le chien du voisin aboie tres longtemps des que ceux ci partent de leur maisn ) Il faut savoir que la 1er plage est a 45 min ,la voiture est indispensable, la maison étant assez loin de tout . Les soirees en extérieur sont gâchées par l omnipresence des moustiques ( et des 18h quand il n y a pas de soleil ) ,pas de moustiquaires aux fenêtres. Ces quelques désagréments ne nouw ont pas empêcher de passer de bonnes vacances . Propriétaire non présent mais joignable ,disponible, réponse rapide,soucieux du bien être de ses locataires . A recommader . attaattenante.M attenante.Mal

Spacious, well-equipped and a fantastic pool

Lots of room for the four of us (but it would easily have taken two more). All of the rooms were spacious and the house is very well equipped with everything you need. Plenty of outside space and the heated pool was large and kept to a good temperature. Lots of information from the host before arrival, he also checked in via email during our stay and there was a welcome pack with some essentials when we arrived. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property with amazing pool in countryside location

We stayed at this beautiful property for a week in August 2024. It is very well appointed and cared for. The property was super clean! The welcome pack, new soaps in each bathroom and in the kitchen with new sponges and brushes were lovely touches and much appreciated. The pool is salt water and a perfect size to swim short lenghts or have some fun play. The poolside loungers were very comfortable! Just a few small niggles - the master bedroom is gorgeous and spacious but the velux windows don't have any coverings so you are awoken at sunrise making it hard to sleep in! Perhaps providing quality eye masks would be a workaround. The family bathroom shower temperature was not hot enough even at max temp to take a shower. Finally, the fantastic coffee machine looks great but we could not source the pods locally and did'nt fancy a drive to Bordeaux just to purchase the pods. If we had known we could have purchased supplies in advance! Overall a great property with lots of care taken to ensure a stay is enjoyable.

Wonderful week

The house and pool were absolutely lovely. Pool was great size for 3 teens and us and well used in a very hot week. Well equipped, lovely garden and patio. Lots of day trips about and easy to access.

A great vacation

We had a fantastic time in your vacation home. The large pool was an absolute hit, especially on warmer days. The spacious garden provided plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy nature. Beneath the beautiful large trees in the garden, we could also seek shade and unwind. Additionally, exploring some charming nearby towns was a highlight. We visited La Rochelle, including the aquarium, Terres d'Oiseaux, and Bordeaux. We even went canoeing in Chauvignac. And let's not forget: having a supermarket just a short 10-minute drive away made life much easier. Thank you for the wonderful holiday!

Perfect location

A beautiful home,gardens and pool in a fantastic rural location.We loved our 2 weeks stay Communication with David was great,the kitchen had everything you needed and more and the pool was fantastic even with my mobility problems ( rheumatoid arthritis) Unfortunately my daughter and I caught COVID in France but that was no problem as the weather was great and I managed to read 5 books.Great local restaurant and nothing was too far.The 12 HR drive from Surrey was worth it. Will hopefully come back😁

A great week in an outstanding area.

The property is in an incredible location with outstanding views. There is lots to do around the region with variety for all ages. The pool is incredible and a real asset to the house. Communication with the owner was very easy and always available.

Lovely relaxing half term

We really enjoyed our week at this property. Our boys loved the pool and spent many hours regardless of the weather. The pool table wasn’t quite as they’d hoped as it didn’t sit flat, but they still played a game or two. We didn’t try the bikes as one had a flat tyre. It’s very rural, surrounded by farmers fields including vines. So peaceful, especially at night. The stars were amazing. Host was great, very easy to communicate with. There was a great house guide including lots of places to visit. If you are looking for a week of peace and quiet with a pool, this is the place for you.

Fantastic short stay

My family and I had a fantastic stay here. The area was quiet and the garden spacious and the pool was fantastic . We barely left the property our whole time there and my kids never wanted to leave. David was extremely attentive, courteous and easy to deal with and was proactive in making sure we had what we needed, with everything very well planned out. Everything we had hoped for and we will be looking to return next summer if we can .

Great stay in a quiet location

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in July. The house was clean and had everything we needed.The garden and swimming pool are very big and well maintained and I recommend sitting at one of the garden tables with a glass of wine to enjoy the view of the fields surrounding the house!Good communication with the owner for a stress free holiday. Ruhiger Urlaubsort mit tollem Pool

Wer die Ruhe sucht wird sie hier finden. Maison Rossignol liegt in einem kleinem Weiler mit einer Handvoll Häusern. Das Haus bietet alles was man braucht. Eine gut ausgestattete Küche, schöne Bäder tolles Elternschlafzimmer - nur die Kinderzimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der nächste Ort in dem man hervorragende Croissant bekommt liegt ca.5 km entfernt. Tagsüber haben wir in dem tollen Pool getobt und abends am Feldrand unseren Esstisch aufgebaut und den Blick über die Felder genossen. Schön war es die kleinen Orte an der Gironde zu entdecken. Zum Bummeln lädt der Ort Saintes ein.

Ruhige Tage ins Grüne

Wir haben den Aufenhalt sehr genossen. Sehr gute kommunikation. Im Haus hat nichts gefehlt und der Pool war eine willkommende Abkühlung bei diesen höhen Temperaturen. Wir konnten ein paar schöne Orte in der Umgebung besichtigen und diese schöne Region entdecken. Dieses Ferienhaus ist definitiv empfehlenswert ! und danke für alles an die netten vermietern (vor allem für den willkommen pakett ). Bis bald !

An amazing find and perfect

We have just returned from a wonderful two-week holiday at Maison Rossignol. The house is exactly as described, comfortable and relaxing, with everything that you would need to make a pleasant stay possible. It is located so that accessing all the local places of interest is easy. The icing on the cake is the fabulous, heated pool, very welcoming after a day out in the unexpected September heat. The hosts David and Joanna are very proactive and a small issue with the pool cover was dealt with immediately. Maison Rossignol is ideal if you want a relaxing, quiet break in the countryside, but close enough to more comprehensive facilities.

The perfect rural hideaway

What a fabulous holiday house! A characterful property in stunning countryside with a wide range of amazing places to visit, assuming you can tear yourself away from the pool. We went for a family holiday and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is incredibly well equipped with plenty of space for the 4 of us, including the well tended and attractive gardens. The hosts were very gracious and great at communicating. Can't recommend highly enough.

A beautiful Charente house

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Charente Maritime and our stay in Maison Rossignol. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities are fabulous - particularly the private pool and the pool table. The kitchen is well resourced with everything you need away from home. The master bedroom and ensuite are outstanding. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gite with us.
