"A special stay in a friendly and professional hotel. From a friendly welcome through to the young staff on in the restaurant and housekeeping delivering excellent service combined with that pop of extra friendliness that gives the 5 star rating. Beautiful surroundings and roams around the propery."

"Read the reviews and was slightly put off. But having spent the whole weekend at the hotel, my mind was changed. Staff were very helpful with all questions and information needed. Grounds and views are lovely. Used the spa and pool and enjoyed every minute. Check in and out was very easy, food was amazing (especially the lamb). Will definitely be back to visit in the next few weeks. Only thing I would ask if bottles of water could be put in the annex room, as im very fussy and refuse to drink...

"Newly renovated very nice room in the coach house.
Staff were outstanding throughout, very helpful friendly and polite.
Evening meal and breakfast were excellent, again with great staff members.
Only reason it doesn't get 5* is the sauna was out of action in the spa and the pool is quite small"

"Breakfast was ok but items on menu extra had to be paid for.
Room was clean but dated. Shower was an electric shower that was nearly unusable. Low pressure and no temperature control. No replacement shower gel was left after room was cleaned.
Staff were excellent and restaurant was well presented.
Hotel room a low 3 star at best."
