Both good and maybe not so good.

First and foremost, cleanliness is next to godliness for any property, and here the house does not fail. I found the house to be clean, comfortable well equipped, and everything in working order. The house appears outside and in as presented in the description and the photos. All in all, very positive indeed! So, no drawbacks? This is a matter of opinion. I note that most reviews are quite positive, but I did note a few things one might consider nitpicks or issues depending on your point of view. Wall units. In fairness these are disclosed in the description and shown in the photos, but if, like me, you don’t have these at home you may have forgotten how noisy they are. I got used to it despite two of the units running constantly during the week I was there despite being set to 72 degrees. Like I said, I got used to it but you may not. Another reviewer noted a year ago that the sealant around the units is lacking, and a year later I agree. In the master bedroom there were mosquitoes that I suspect got in because the sealing around the wall unit needed attention. I was bitten several times during my stay and had to smack a number of mosquitoes. Now again in fairness, there is a marsh behind the house so mosquitoes are to be expected, but in my view, there were more mosquitoes in the master bedroom upstairs than can be explained by an occasionally opened side door from the kitchen out to the driveway.

Bourne Stay

The house was perfect for our group, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax and centrally located to allow us to day trips to various beaches, Boston and other area sites.

Perfect Stay!

We stayed here for my bachelorette party weekend because it was close to beaches and a reasonable drive to Provincetown. It was beautiful and quiet and the perfect escape for the weekend when we weren’t partying. It was clean, had everything we needed to grill outside and cook, and all the space for us to hang out and relax. 10/10 would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone else!

Clean spacious home in sagamore beach

The property was clean and spacious for the five adults in our party. Everything is well maintained and the home provided everything we needed. I would like to note that the listing has not been updated and there are additional features not listed in the listing or known by the managing agent. There are window a/c units in the dining room and each bedroom which cool the home nicely. Also there are multiple beach chairs and a beach umbrella available. Finally, the kitchen is stocked with basic spices, oil, supplies, aluminum foil, and other handy items. A very lovely home! We would recommend it without reservation.

Nice Property

This 3 bedroom Cape was perfect for our stay. No children along this time so the rental was perfect for 3 adults. It was important to have a walk in shower for us older ones. Everything flowed nicely from one room to the next. Especially liked the private first floor sitting room off the hallway. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet only minutes from shopping, restaurants and major express routes to north, south, east and west. The booking process was easy, but I feel Turnkey went above expectations by keeping in contact with us shortly before our stay, during our stay and even following up after we departed. We will definitely put them at the top of our list for our next home rental.

A nice home in a quiet neighborhood

We had a nice time in Sagamore Beach, August of 2021. A few things about this home of note. The house had no central AC system, but does have window AC units in all bedrooms and first floor dining area. The home is a quick drive to Scussitt beach which is public but visit $40 per day for non residents. It is very hard to find public beaches in Cape Cod with ample parking and most cost between $20-$40 per day. There are many nice small towns within 30 minutes of this home (Chatham, Hyannis, Sandwich & Plimouth). Driving on the Cape is a bit of a battle so don't plan on getting anywhere quick. Overall, this is a nice older home with plenty of space for a family to spread out.

we were mostly disappointed in the areas beaches. they were very rocky . the house itself was suitable though it did have a cat smell and mildew in basement . we liked the deck but the sliding door was almost impossible to open. we tried wd40 with no success . also the bed’s frame caused a slice in my grand daughter foot. those things should be taken care of . we went to the south shore beaches which were much better.

Beautiful house close to the beach!

House was beautiful and clean. Close to the beach and everything we needed. Let us check in early and very responsive. Loved the outside deck and yard. Deck was big enough to fit my family. Big kitchen to cook. Would definitely visit again

Nice place, needs some TLC

This is a cozy home and for the most part, well represented by the listing. We enjoyed hanging around the property with our young children, trips out onto the Cape and the nearby Scusset Beach Reservation. While the home itself was clean, it was clear that it hadn't had any amount of upkeep in a very long time. In addition to bricks on front steps crumbling to the point of hazard and a toilet seat completely cracked through, there were a large number of minor issues like completely loose faucet handles, bathtub that doesn't hold water, broken dustpan, etc, that made our stay less than completely comfortable. I will acknowledge that the management was responsive, sending a handyman over the day after we got in touch with them, but the large magnitude of issues and their obviousness was frustrating -- these things should have been taken care of prior to our arrival.

Very disappointed with the house nest system turning heat to 58 every 2 hours

House was nice, great location but nest system made the house miserable to stay in with a 6 week old baby due how cold it got quickly in the winter in MA. Couldn’t use space heaters because they would blow fuses / circuits if more than one was plugged in so we basically got to use one room of the entire house. Then the house key code expired and we were locked out of the house at 10pm with a six week old. Would not stay in again due to heat issues and having such a young child. Disappointed

The Ideal Getaway!

The property far exceeded our expectations and needs. It was perfectly situated in the small town of Sandwich, which provided privacy and comfort. The owners of the property responded in a timely manner whenever there was a question. If we ever make our way to the Cape Cod area, we will be sure to consider them again.
