Hotel basico
Bueno esperabamos mas del Hostal, por ejemplo, al realizar la reserva no especificaba que las habitaciones no tenian baño, no especificaban que habia que pedir todos los dias toallas, no especificaba que al realizar el checked uno mismo tiene que retirar la ropa de cama y llevarla a la recepcion, Al realizar la reserva decia desayuno incluido, y al llegar nos indicaron que uno de los dias la cocina estaria cerrada, por lo cual no habria desayuno y para nada hubo una compensacion en el costo. Importante, al frente de la casa esta lleno de Homeless, lo cual lo hace peligroso por las actividades que ellos realizan. Las duchas le faltaba mas limpieza y es mejor llevar su jabon porque tampoco lo ofrecen. En cuanto a la habitacion muy muy basica, no hay controles de climatizacion y no solo en el cuarto si no en toda la casa no hay una television, no es fundamental pero son comodidades basicas, el internet es lo mas rescatable de la estadia. A nosotros nos toco otros inquilinos que se la pasaban corriendo en el pasillo y siendo esto una casa vieja con pisos de maderas se oia de todo mucha bulla. En mi opinion la casa es bonita, pero el servicio y las comodidades no es bueno

Super bien!! Me encanto el lugar, está hermoso!! Muy cerca de oldtown sacramento y el centro de convenciones. Muy seguro para caminar de noche

Muy buen hostal.
Me atendieron de maravilla, sobre todo Brihanna, la recepcionista. Desde que llegué mostró un trato cordial y cálido. El hostal está ubicado estratégicamente en el corazón de Sacramento.

no vale la pena
El lugar húmedo y con polvillo por las alfombras viejas y sucias. Los baños andan mal pq las cañerías son viejas. Para evitar tanta humedad dejan ventanas abiertas durante la noche... sufrí mucho frío. Finalmente me cobraron 15 dólares adicionales por hacer el checkout media hora tarde... No hacia falta pq todavía no habían limpiado las habitación y tenían muchas camas libres, pero con mala cara y mala manera insistieron y en q era necesario, así que lo pagué... No vuelvo mas a este sitio.

A beautiful building built in the 1800s you must see. The interior is charming. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with walking distance to places. The house is absolutely clean throughout. Staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.

It’s very special and old fashioned place to stay. It is convenient to go to nearby attractions. Staff are nice.

Property is nice, but the location is right behind the city hall, where the homeless camp out unfortunately, just like most cities in California. Smell and noise level inside is much to be desired, as it's an old mansion without soundproofing. I was trying to get more sleep around 9:00 a.m. and, someone was banging the piano and singing out loud in the living room, which is right next to my room. It was probably better on the 2nd or 3rd level, but they only come with a shared bathroom. This is a good place if you're on a budget and a convenient 15 minute ride to the airport.

Lots of Vagrants around...open air drug use...saw a group lighting a fire near a building...definitely unsafe. Building is cool looking...but 100 years old and smells/feels like it. Woman asked front desk to borrow a phone charger...they said no....I feel like they should invest $5 in a charger people can borrow if they really need it. Weird setup to get in and out as well. Would not recommend.

The staff are helpful. It’s nice to have access to a kitchen. A park is a block away which attracts homeless. The parking structure across the street was cleaned at 10:45 pm on Saturday night. It sounded like a large leaf blower for an hour. I couldn’t sleep.

Wonderful gem in Sacramento
Beatiful Victorian mansion with a ton of character and charm. I felt very safe and comfortable there and appreciated the private gated parking adjacent to the house. The staff was kind and helpful and it was a quiet and peaceful stay.

Nice location and property, but noisy in early AM.
Amazing historic mansion with a beautiful interior and history. Because the place is historic, it is not well-insulated from outside noise. I stayed in room 22 at the back of the hostel, and it was very noisy beginning at 4 am with the surrounding construction noise and leaf blowers. Because this place is not in a residential district, it isn't subject to noise regulation hours. I used ear plugs on my second night.

Best Hostel ever stayed at!
I was visiting Sacramento to run CIM. When making the reservation for this hostel, I was looking for affordable and reasonable accommodations for my weekend stay here. With my 1st visit ever to Sacramento, I didn’t know what to expect. However, I have experienced many hostel stays in the past. I am so happy to report that I was blown away by the accommodations and the service provided by staff. This historic Victorian style building is well kept and has architecture you no longer see anymore. This hostel provides spacious rooms, adequate sleeping accommodations and better than timely in getting out the food in the morning and having the freshly brewed coffee ready to go.The staff were all very friendly and helpful in ensuring I had everything I needed. A special shoutout to HI staff member Kira, as she always exhibited an amazing positive attitude and made herself available to answer any questions I had and was great at suggesting restaurants and fun things to do around Sacramento. Thank you so much.

Lovely to stay in an historic mansion. The area is close to downtown destinations. Guest should be aware that they will be sharing bathrooms with other guests.

Highly recommend!
The building is an absolutely beautiful historic building that has been kept up well and is decked out with adorable antique furniture and art. The staff are super friendly and helpful and have a very organized system in place. Everything is very clean and cozy and you can tell the management pays attention to little details like keeping fresh sponges in the kitchen area and ensuring the pillows and sheets are the most comfortable kind. I was traveling as a solo woman but felt very safe in the hostel. Gated parking is available for a very reasonable fee. I believe this is the nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed in.

Absolutely loved the architecture and interior decor of this Victorian beauty. The staff was wonderful. Anthony, in particular, could not have been a better host. Comfortable, clean, great location, safe, gated parking! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay at HI Sacramento again if I'm ever back in Sacramento.

The property is beautiful, very friendly staff. there is a buzzing sound going off and with no phone in the room you have to go down to the first floor to tell someone. restrooms are extremely clean and well stocked.

Lots of care has gone into this 1885 building. The staff was great & room comfortable & attractive. Bathroom was right next to our room so easy to access. Lots of messages taped around which were fun to read (and interesting). Really appreciated the thought that was behind the hostel. Very glad we decided to stay here.
