The house was dirty in places not immediately visible on arrival. The pans and utensils were not properly washed, some either had food on them or pans had remnants of oil and food. The showerhead in the hall bathroom was nearly fully coated in some grease or oil that was hard for us to wash off our hands after having tried to adjust the angle. The carpeting in the secondary bedroom had odd crusty/hard spots from something spilled that when touched came off, the owner made no effort to clean from a previous vrbo stay. The bedroom with the bunk room was basically unusable as the bedframe was metal and made loud creaks at the smallest movement. These could be heard from the other rooms and the guest who tried sleeping in there was constantly woken up overnight from the noise. The dryer was left with a load of mixed bedding and towels that we weren't sure were washed as upon smell they were musty. There was a lack of towels for 6 guests, the listing says the house accommodates more but I can't imagine considering we each managed to get by with only a towel each and no leftovers. Besides the lack of cleanliness the amenities in the house were good. The kitchen had a good stock of plates, cups, and cooking supplies. The living room was comfortable and served as a good gathering space while home. An improvement I would give is to change the bedroom lighting to warm tone bulbs, all of them had very cold white lighting which made the bedrooms feel sterile and clinical.
