Beautiful Cabin
This cabin is cozy, comfortable, and relaxing. It is in a wonderful setting with a creek just out the back. Perfect place for enjoying a pipe (tobacco), which I did. It was very clean. The internet and TV was also great to have if you had to spend time inside. Many large pine trees in the area. We would definitely stay here again. A true gem.

Cozy family retreat!
Bearlane Cabin is a cozy, comfortable place where families can retreat, rest, and plan their mountain adventures. The hosts have thought of everything - toys, bikes and games for the kids; toiletries (in case you forgot); wood for the fire pit and fireplace; a fully stocked kitchen; and cable TV (which was used only to watch Bob Ross paint mountains after time spent wandering in the mountains!) The cabin is rustic with modern comforts and conveniences, and the back yard provides outdoor space with a picnic table, fire pit, lighting, and plenty of seating. If you have very young children, the creek behind the cabin makes close outdoor supervision a necessity. The creek is a beautiful feature, and the sound of the water is soothing. The kids enjoyed finding the various Bigfoot inside and outside the cabin, and several little extras from the hosts were appreciated. Rye and the Greenhorn Mountain area are stunningly beautiful, with lakes and hiking trails for all skill levels nearby. Highly recommended!

Quick Getaway
My Husband and I decided on a impromptu trip this weekend, and it lead us to Colorado. Cara's house was perfect for us and our 2 service dogs. We got there, and it was snowing. Everything was white. The river was running behind the house. We would gave used the firepits outside, but it was in the 20s. The master bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is fully stocked. And the kitchen had everything we could ask for. Cara was very easy to communicate with. She even made me a private listing when I needed help. We will definitely be back, in the spring and fall!

Relaxing and enjoyable weekend getaway!
We fell in love with this cabin as soon as we got there! Very clean, nicely decorated and exceptional attention to detail. Everything you could need was there. Felt like home! Communication was excellent! We will definitely be back! Thank you for an awesome stay!

Are we there Yeti???
Our arrival was exciting & easy to access. The property is well taken care of and the decor is cozy & fun. Property is stocked with supplies in every room to make our visit comfortable. There are wonderful views including several Yeti sightings. Plenty of outdoor & indoor activities to keep busy or just sit & relax. Overall, a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Love this place
The owners put a lot of effort in their preparation of this cabin as they have thought of most everything that people will need to enjoy a few days off the grid. Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your tooth brush or some other necessity; they had us covered. We enjoyed mornings cooking on the wood fired stove and the evenings relaxing by the fireplace. We really enjoyed our time here and even spotted a mountain lion.

Rye Relaxation
Cara & Jerry were excellent hosts, providing a beautifully adorned and furbished cabin that kept us warm and comfortable even during the sub-zero-*F. weather during our stay. Great escape away!
This cabin had everything we needed for our family getaway. The cabin had a lot of thoughtful touches and was well stocked with kitchen, bathroom and linen supplies. Sweet treats for the kids, a fireplace ready to be lit with plenty of wood, and lots of games that we enjoyed helped us disconnect from our busy everyday lives and enjoy each other. Neighborhood was quiet and the creek was a great place for boys to explore. Thanks again!

Absolute gem, a must stay!
We cannot speak highly enough about our stay at the cabin. My wife and family were looking for a quiet relaxing getaway that felt off the grid, but also like home.. and this was it. We fell in love with the place the moment we pulled into the driveway. Everything from the welcome card to the Christmas cookies, and all of the little details throughout the house made for such an amazing stay. The property has a creek right behind it, string lights, a cozy fireplace, and all of the amenities we could have hoped for... truly above and beyond.

So cozy
As soon as we walked in, the cabin smelled like cinnamon! It was decorated for the holidays which was really neat! We enjoyed playing some games and watching the snow. The hosts are amazing and thoughtful. We appreciate all the cute little touches that make the stay extra fun!

Quiet and peaceful cabin in the woods
We truly enjoyed our stay here. While the weather didn't allow us to make use of the outdoor area, the cabin was clean, comfortable and we really enjoyed how it was decorated. We were able to explore the area and hope to come back again for further exploration and hopefully to be able to enjoy the creek and some outdoor dining. Thank you!

Very Nice...
We loved the location because no one else was in the other cabins. The cabin is nice. Sitting by the stream to have breakfast or lunch was so relaxing. The cabin was clean and functional. Having a real wood burning fireplace was very nice. The Rye Café was excellent!! Overall, a very good experience. However, there was no TV in the bedroom and my husband and I slept in the separate beds in the Livingroom area. Not ideal as we were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. If the other cabins would have been occupied, I think it would have been a different experience, probably not as relaxing as they are pretty close together.

Connie, I am so sorry that you didn't realize that the couch in front of the TV pulls out into very comfortable queen bed. I have had several guests sleep there to be in front of that wonderful fireplace (as my husband & I have done). I just can't make myself put a TV in the bedroom to hide the lovely sound of the creek thru the windows. As for the other cabins, when they are rarely occupied, peace and quiet are still at a high premium.

Perfect Stay!
We had the best time with our family of 4 at this cabin. It was perfect for young kids. The fireplace was ready to go with plenty of wood, the kids had fun finding all the Bigfoots, the owners even left gifts for the kids and treats! We loved it and definitely would go back!

Book Immediately!
Do yourself a favor and book this property immediately! It is beautiful, cozy, has character, and incredible views and ambiance. We enjoyed our time here tremendously. A few of our favorite things about the property were hearing the stream from the bedroom window, laying in the hammocks under the beautiful trees, having a fire in the fire pit by the stream, and watching football by the fire in the living room. My husband even saw a bear on his bike ride, with the bikes provided by the owner. Speaking of the owner, Cara… she was absolutely amazing! There were so many thoughtful and special touches she provided for our stay. She had a birthday cake waiting for my husband, s’mores supplies, a sweet note and so much more! I hope we can visit again one day!

Peaceful Getaway
We loved how the homeowners made it personal and provided everything we needed. The creek behind the property was our favorite. Everything was cleaned and smelled great. The drive to San Isabel lake or Colorado City was 12ish minutes. We definitely want to go back next year! Thank you.

A weekend of paradise in the mountains
We absolutely loved our stay. From the first greeting of daddy bigfoot and baby bigfoot at the driveway to closing the door as we left, everything was amazing. It was so peaceful and quiet that we could hear the creek running from the bedroom window as we fell asleep. We enjoyed riding bikes, eating smores and visiting by the fire with the glow of the ambience lights being just perfect. The cabin was so clean and perfectly decorated. We had great communication from the owners from the beginning. We definitely recommend staying here and we will book again next year.

Wonderful Stay
The cabin was extremely clean and smelled amazing. It was even better in person than the photos showed. It was extremely relaxing and we loved hiking nearby and seeing Bishops castle. Cara had menus for the Rye Cafe and we had some delicious food there our first night after the long drive. The cabin had everything you could need as well, towels, cleaning supplies, extra toothbrushes in case anyone forgot theirs, first aid kit, etc. I can’t wait to go back!

Amazing engagement!
We went to the cabin for a birthday get away for my girlfriend, and what she didn’t know, was that I was planning on proposing on this trip. We found this cabin so comfy and beautiful. Cara had the place all set up before we got there, she even left a few little goodies for our time at the cabin. The backyard was such a great spot to cook out and hang out with our friends and on our second day I decided that is where I wanted to ask my girlfriend to marry me. With all that being said, this is the place to stay if you are looking to vacation in the area. Thanks Cara - Jayden and Kayleb

Enjoyable surroundings. Peaceful outside, especially in the back. Fell asleep each night to the sounds running water from the creek. The cabin was so well stocked and had the beauty of cabin living.Want to be back there, after arriving home to over 100 degree temp.

Because we are surrounded by 50foot pine trees internet service is tricky to come by at the cabin. With that in mind we did include the fact there was no internet in our VRBO listing. However, for the any future stays several guests have told us they have been able to connect on their Hotspots with their phones. Also, a quick 5-minute drive to the Rye Cafe can get you connected with their internet. We are glad you found the cabin to have met your needs. Come again, Cara and Jerry

Great family time
The outdoor space is so amazing at this adorable cabin. We loved to hang out by the fire pits, play corn hole, listen to the creek, ride the provided bikes, lounge on the hammocks, and more. When the weather wasn’t great we played board games and watched a movie.

Relaxing, scenic, clean, perfect
This was a beautiful spot, very accommodating for us and our dog. Quick and easy communicating with host if needed. Cabin has great instructions throughout that answer most questions one might have. Beautiful scenery, well stocked with basic cooking and dinnerware.. We will definitely return!

A Slice of Heaven
As I sat near the creek watching my dog romp in the water, I realized that I was, for the first time in a long time, completely at peace. This little slice of heaven in the mountains was the perfect place to relax and just "be." From the well-stocked kitchen to the cozy, well-designed interior, the cabin was perfect! We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit using the ample firewood supplied by the owners. The "man cave" was stocked with everything we needed to cook out both nights, plus so much more. The check-out instructions were clear and simple, and the owners even left doggie treats for our furbaby and supplied doggie towels conveniently located by the back door. Frankly, it felt like coming home. Additionally, the communication exceeded any expectations -- any time I had a question, Cara responded very quickly. Because the owners had thought of everything, we didn't have to think about much while we were there, which led to us having a wonderful, relaxing time in this little slice of heaven. We will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful stay at Cara’s cabin. It was stocked with everything we needed and never had any issue with sleeping arrangements, or any other matter! HIGHLY recommend

Quiet cabin next to creek.
The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. Great price for everything you get. Pet freindly and our dog loved the place too.

Quaint cozy cabin in the woods
My 11 year old daughter and I and our pup stayed at this wonderful cabin. It was very clean, comfortable, and has an amazing atmosphere inside and out. Love this place!😃❤️🏔️
