The stay where you pup is most welcome

Chris is a charming host who's hospitality was un expected. Her insistence at providing breakfast surpised us. The location in Rutherglen is good being a 5min walk to the town centre. The main street has dog friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants who serve great food and wine (would you expect anyting less in Rutherglen?)

Wonderful place to stay in a beautiful area

Chris is the most wonderful hostess. We travelled with a dog reactive German Shepherd and Chris made us feel welcome but ensuring our dog's interactions with other dogs were kept to a minimum. The accomodation is lovely and i would have loved to stay longer (i will do so in the future).Our dog was secure, she was allowed inside and we had everything we needed.Chris's homecooked breakfast was 10/10! The best eggs i have eaten for a long time!Thank you Chris for keeping me updated throughout the booking and stay, for making us feel welcone and for providing beautiful dog friendly accommodation that was also great for us humans.

Everything we hoped for and more

Chris was a wonderful host and a magician with poached eggs! We were greeted with muffins, cream, strawberries AND muscat as well as treats for the dogs. The place had everything we needed and an amazing shower. Chris's advice on places to visit and eat were very helpful and her breakfasts were amazing - I didn't expect smoked salmon with my Eggs Benedict! we will visit again.

Dog heaven

Great stay for us and our dog. There is plenty of outside space for fido to sniff and enjoy. Chris, the owner, looks after you like you've part of her family. Provides a delicious cooked breakfast and a cheerful chat each morning. If you own a dog and want to explore the Rutherglen area, this is for you.

The accomodation was very comfortable and great for our dog. Our host made us feel very welcome and also gave us some useful recommendations for visiting Rutherglen wineries. It was truly a dog friendly place to stay.

If you have pets this is a great place to stay, the owner loves dogs and the business is set up to cater for them. Bed was good, place was quiet, well fitted out and comfortable. We would happily return.

Our wonderful dog friendly cottage was warm, cosy and very comfortable for all three of us. Our host Chris made us feel as though we'd known each other for years. Our old dog Jesse relaxed and settled in straight away. Also, Chris cooks a delicious brekky which is not to be missed. Looking forward to staying again, many times

Dog purposed accommodation with generous secure and private garden.

Ten minute walk to centre of Rutherglen, this beautiful historic former hotel building has two self contained apartments. Each apartment has a private garden which are secure for pets with outdoor BBQ and furniture. Nice touch of having complimentary carafe of muscat, cosy rooms with tea and coffee and a separate sheltered kitchen and eating area for breakfast and meals. The cooked breakfast was delicious.

Loads of Character

Lovely stay and lives up to the name "must love dogs". My dog and I were warmly greeted to a "treat" each, me a lovely glass of Muscat and muffin and fresh strawberries and cream and my dog also loved his treats. thanks for the stay!
