"The food here is amazing and you can't beat the location for touring North Wales. Janna was the star of the place. That said, the room needs serious maintenance. The mattress was completely shot—sagging with metal springs that poked into my body every time I moved. For me, the most important part of a trip is to have a good night to sleep and it baffles me that this hotel has this Kind of mattresses. The pillars were OK though. "A Symphony of brown, beige, caramel and every hideous colour under the sun. Very creaky rooms, I could hear the next-door people quite clearly walking about on the squeaky floorboards and even talking. I dread to think what it would be like in a fire – very confusing interior layout and no signs to the staircases, so that you can easily get lost. Not enough parking either. And the postcode is the same as the local railway station - so it’s hard to find unless you know where it is. The breakfast...

"Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant...

"Generally the property was nice, however having stayed at similar properties over the years, I think there were a few things which could be improved. These are personal preferences but I think its the smaller touches which make all the difference. For example, it would have been nice if guests were given bath towels rather than the smaller sized towels, with spares available at the property. As the property had a hot tub, robes would have been nice. The tea and coffee selection was very basic....

"Our “room” was a small apartment set over two floors. Very comfortable, clean and with everything we needed for a few nights. WiFi was good. Nice art on the walls. Plenty of parking. And convenient location for touring around snowdonia and north wales. Staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfasts included. Thankyou for everything"

"Great stay! Could t fault the accommodation at all! 5 min drive from zip world, host left some extras for us, tea coffee sugar milk bottle of bubbly and some chocolates and shortbread! Excellent touch! Some nice walks nearby weather your a novice or a professional hiker something for everyone! Will definitely stay again! I’d recommend bringing some shopping with you, as the nearest shop is around a 30 minute walk away, however if you don’t mind driving it’s only 5/10 mins down the road to the...
