It was a good stay. It was worth the price. We came for a baseball tournament. It was a quiet pretty basic place. Very good value for the price I paid. The only thing I wish it had was a comfortable couch and that the neighbors motion light didn’t go on and off all night. It was worth it for us.

Nice little getaway spot so that we could visit our college student! I was able to make him some home cooked meals during our stay. Very clean and the beds were so comfortable! We are so thankful to have found this quiet little gem of a cabin.

Perfect place for a quick visit

This was the perfect place for our quick visit to Ruston. Perfectly located close to the interstate and downtown. The cottage was clean and ready for us. Check in and out was a breeze. Will definitely stay there again.

Baseball weekend

We had a wonderful stay! We were in town for a baseball tournament and this was the perfect spot for us! Will definitely book again when we come back!!

In town for a project and found this. The owners have done a great job providing a quiet place that’s convenient to all Ruston has to offer.

Ruston stay

This was the perfect place to stay for our short time in Ruston. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Marlon was very quick to get back to me about any questions. We will definitely stay here again if we pass this way.

Great place

Everything as advertised. Will stay here in the future. Easy check in and host was very responsive to messages. Only thing I would want more would be access to a grill. Thanks for a great stay.

Nature Love

Very peaceful honeymoon. Enjoyed the sound of nature. I advise everyone to visit the restaurant not too far from cabin, Log cabin grill!!

Convenient and clean

We came to town for a baseball tournament. This property is very close to the sports complex and it is in a residential area that we felt safe in. The house was clean and comfortable. We would not hesitate to book again if we return to Ruston.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures. Not awful but not even close to good. Cleanliness needs to be attended to. I do not recommend.

All was well. Some type of entertainment system and or curtains in the living room would have really set it off. Other than that, it would have been excellent!!

Unfortunately, our experience with this property was very disappointing.It should have been a red flag that the host ignored my messages until the day of check in after I told him I was going to call him if he didn’t respond.Upon arrival, we found the cleanliness of the property to be significantly below what was represented in the listing. The condition of the home made us uncomfortable staying there with our family, and we ultimately decided not to remain at the property.We documented the issues we encountered and immediately contacted the host and VRBO in an effort to resolve the situation. Despite multiple attempts by both ourselves and VRBO to communicate with the host, we received little to no response regarding our concerns.Because the property did not meet the cleanliness standards we reasonably expected based on the listing, we were forced to secure alternative accommodations at additional inconvenience and expense.I encourage future guests to carefully consider whether the property’s cleanliness and host communication meet their expectations. This review reflects our personal experience and the condition of the property upon our arrival.As of this review the host is still ignoring us and we have not received a refund.

Ruston

The host did not respond with check in details so I had to contact the support center. The actual place was adequate but sparsely stocked. Cleanliness was a B. Wide open windows were great during the day but would have liked to have window coverings at night.

The Front door was almost impossible to open. There was little to no furniture to sit on in the living room. Mold in multiple locations throughout the house, with leaks from ceiling. Not a great stay but it definitely has potential just needs some work.

This was a terrible experience. After a 10 hr drive, we arrived at the house at 8:40 pm, and could not get in. Contacted the host, and he said, Oh, my cleaning lady is late (check-in was a 3pm), and if we leave & come back in 30 min, it can be ready. We asked for a refund, and he tried to turn the situation on us, stating that we were not willing to leave and let them clean and come back. We had to call VRBO and after a 53 min call we were refunded. No other VRBO properties or hotels were available in the area. Luckily, we were able to do something through a connection. DO NOT deal with this owner!!! Also, the location for this property is not the greatest area-and there is another house right in front of this one. This is my first time giving a negative review-please take heed!

It took me a while to write my review on this one because I wanted to take into account that it was Tech graduation weekend and rentals and hotels are in high demand. The biggest disappointments were the check and the AC. CheckIn was supposed to be 3 PM. Around 3 PM, I received a message that they need until 5 PM for cleaning. We arrived at 5, after being in the road for 5 hr with 2 one-year olds and the house was not ready. I received a call from host saying the cleaning person needed at least another hour. Not ideal after hours of traveling. We decided to go to dinner and return. When we returned temperature in house was 78 degrees. We adjust air and found fans in lower closet, but in morning temperature was still 75. Kids were miserable. Family decided to get dressed at Tech student’s house, attend graduation and go home. Too hot to stay. Contacted host letting them know AC was not working well and our plans. Received reply a couple hours later they they could try to get an AC company out. Was not offered any credit for rental not being available at 3pm. Was not expecting credit for leaving early (our decision due to heat) but something, even an I am sorry your inconvenience or we did not meet expectations would have been nice.

Nice place, but could benefit from a few inexpensive upgrades

The little house was nice and I will consider staying there again. The bathroom needs a towel bar, there is only one night stand in one of the bedrooms so the addition of more nights stands would be nice, and dressers in the bedrooms would be very useful as there’s no drawers in either bedroom. The living room furniture was some what subpar, but I didn’t use the livingroom so I wasn’t bothered by that. Finally, as cheap as TVs are these days, it would be nice to have one in each bedroom. This is a personal preference, but I will bring my own sheets next time. The sheets were a fake silky fabric that wasn’t breathable at all and was hot. I know this sounds like a negative review, but the place was spacious and clean and had the basics, but a few upgrades would take it to another level and comfort

When we arrived, there were large limbs down on the deck to the entrance that seemed to have been there for awhile. The front door was hard to open and close. There was a roach and a ball of human hair on the floor like someone had cleaned out their hair brush. The air vents leak when the ac runs and landed on my head. The vent in the bathroom is covered in mold. There were dirty paper towels u set the bed and bathroom vanity as well as an article of clothing. The futon has a broken leg. There are no window treatments in the living room and the neighbors outside lights shine into the house and blink off and on every few minutes. It felt like torture. The bedding and towels are worn but seemed clean. The floors were very dirty. Wearing shoes at all times is a must. On the bright side, there is a Pac-Man video game in the basement!
