This is the perfect quiet and easy place to stay for a ski weekend away. The owner and is very friendly, welcoming and has a delicious bakery to buy treats.

No View is a quirky, curious space, just the kind we love. The room was basic, but comfortable and secure. Daily fresh towels and linens. No TV, but tons of books for reading on the porch to watch the sunset. There seemed to have been a break in communication, so we didn't get the breakfast (coffee and pastries) I expected from the Expedia site due to the host having a personal event to attend to. Another guest showed me where they had been informed, so I'm sure the host would have informed us, too, if your site had been more available.

If you like staying in a scented candle shop with no private bathroom, no one to greet you, no paving and no view, this is your place.

Sorry you were not pleased. You booked same day, I had an appointment and couldn't be there.I contacted you for an arrival time so I could arrange for someone to be there or send self checkin information, You didn't answer. My granddaughter lives there and was there a few minutes after you left. As far as a shared bathroom and gift shop its advertised. The gift shop you walk through to get to the Guest rooms. No one is expected to stay in the giftshop. Sorry you don't like good smelling things. The name of the farm is NO VIEW, so that you expected a view is a surprise. We are an organic farm and your need of a tarred driveway doesn't fit my philosophy of taking care of the planet.

I didn't like the restroom so far from our sleeping quarters. Many already used thin bar soaps in the shower. The rainfall shower didn't work, but the regular showerhead did. There was a septic order in the bath shared lau dry area. The toilet bowl was either stained or dirty. A new toilet is in order. Self serve coffee machine was too complicated. I wouldn't call it a bakery..just pastries under domes. It was more like a rustic, hippy gift shop with many homemade soaps and jewelry. The bed was VERY HARD and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat. Navigation in the house was hazardous as far as step down levels with no warnings. The Inn remains unlocked at all times, however our room had a combination lock. Very remote area with winding roads. I would not stay here again, however may stop by to shop.

bring your own entertainment because there was no TV. There was no breakfast. The bathroom is a common area in the middle of a bakery. Also there was NO WiFi offered at all. wear long pants and long sleeves to go across the street to the water, tall buggy grass to get there. Farm was beautiful

Pros - very cute room, clean quiet, pretty area Cons - don’t expect hospitality. Grumpy innkeeper, only word exchange was to tell me where the keys were. Fellow patron told me where my room and bathroom was. No help whatsoever from owner.

Sorry that was your experience.. It was not the owner you were dealing with, it was my nephew. I'll definitely take it up with him. Not sure what his issue was but very sorry you were treated like that. Definitely doesn't meet my expectations

Be aware that this is a "no frills" experience, which is fine as long as you expect it. The bed was so hard, I went to the local walmart and bought a foam pad for the bed just so I could sleep. There was no welcoming word or smile, which to me is the bare minimum if you're going to open your home for travelers. So, unless it was just a bad day/days, you could say this is the "No Welcome Farm".

Room was in the farmhouse, nicely appointed and clean, but rustic. Communal bathroom, friendly cats and dogs on the premises. Internet was quite dodgy however.

I needed a toom for 1 night for me and my large dog. The price was reasonable and it wasn't hard to find. The place is super cute, the room was cozy and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the 2 young gentlemen that i encountered during my short stay were polite, friendly, and accomodating. All-in-all this was the best find of my trip.

Not your average hotel stay
Literally a couple of rooms in a redone farmhouse. The room was clean and comfortable in general. You could tell that the finish trim was not done professionally. One major gripe for me was the lack of any lighting other than overhead. The house itself was nice and rustic, with a large pellet stove keeping it warm. Shared bathroom was spacious, but might be a problem at full occupancy. Yard was all iced up, so that was not ideal too. Overall good bang for your buck. Super cute and friendly cat is a plus :) Place was quiet at night and the mattress was decent.

We did not get the full experience because we did not stay although we had a prepaid reservation. The property description states shared bathroomS, yes, plural. Upon arrival I was shown what would be my room, and then we walked through what I guess is an office, not a private hallway, and then alongside the restaurant to reach the one and only bathroom. The truth is that the one bathroom is shared not only with other room guests, but also the owner's family AND apparently restaurant guests. You know how nasty restrooms can be in a restaurant. If the restaurant were busy, would a room guest have to take a number and wait in line for the bathroom? This was unacceptable to us and the owners refused to give a refund.

Our site says Shared Bathroom.. Not bathrooms. That is easy to verify. We are a working farm and yes, people live here. Any Bed and Breakfast that you stay at will have other than guests in them, we do as well. Did you bother to check the bathroom to see if it was clean or not? No, but I guarantee it was. I know I clean it. Clearly you didn't read the description and took the cheapest room, which is the cheapest, because of the shared bathroom. Annette No View Farm

You are literally on the farm. The room was clean and warm. The people and breakfast were some of the best ever. They were OK with a later than normal check in. For foliage or as a base to see the lakes it's great. Check out the Edmund Muskie Memorial at the Falls in Rumford. Hiking trails all over.

A very unique, laid-back experience. Excellent breakfast! Definitely off the beaten path -- some might not like that, but it was exactly what we were looking for, and we enjoyed it tremendously.

Rustic farmhouse with cafe downstairs and bedrooms in the loft. Room was kind of shabby but clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a shared communal one downstairs. Left before breakfast since it was late in coming. Interesting stay, I'd do it again but maybe not for everyone.

Inn off the beaten path gets the job done
I booked a room to accommodate four of us skiing at Sunday River, a quick 20 minute drive from inn. The inn is a total homegrown operation, so do not expect anything slick. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home- their home to be exact. The property definitely needs a little TLC, but it was comfortable, colorful and got job done. As mentioned in other reviews, heads up that the shared bathroom is downstairs while guest rooms are upstairs.

The online description is misleading. It does say shared bathrooms but we saw only one that appears to be shared by two other room rentals, the restaurant, the staff, and is also the laundry room for the place. It is located after passing through the kitchen! The website also says that there is a restaurant on site. CLOSED. We booked a King bed but got a Queen. It says loft but is actually the attic. Sadly, we left without consideration of a refund. Overall, the property is misrepresented online and I don't think it is Orbitz's style.

You were quite open with the fact that you didn't read the description and just took the cheapest room you could find. You booked a Bed & Breakfast not a hotel. Bed and Breakfasts are located in someone's home and this one is as well. There is a restaurant on site, we don't claim to be open 7 days. Cafe is open Thursday - Sunday and you were there on Wed. However we still serve breakfast to our guests on the days we are not open to the public. Sorry that you were not happy, but we cannot change the fact that you didn't read the description and was expecting something totally different.

Sorry that you didn't enjoy our farm. I would suggest reading the listing on your booking next time to find out where you are staying so you are not disappointed. But since the name of our place is No View Farm, Inn & Bakery as listed in our ads, not sure how you expected a hotel when the name states we are a farm and Inn, which by definition, means its located in someone's house. In this case, a farmhouse.

We have never had a 1 rating.. or an anonymous one.. But no doubt, this is our booking that booked a room for 2 people for 3 nights at $213.20 and with a discount for a non refundable rate. They showed up with 5 people and a dog. Then left early because they didn't want to pay the extra fees required to pay for the rest of the people and the pet fee for the three nights.. then requested a refund.
