We spent 9 nights at the cabin. It had everything we needed to prepare 2 meals daily. TV and Internet service were good. The sunrises were outstanding. Wildlife viewing was a great - horses, elk in the yard and streets. If walking the hills of the immediate neighborhood is too much, head for the Sierra Blanca golf course. There are a lot of walkers there - with and without dogs. We side tripped to Cloudcroft, White Sands, Monjeau Lookout, Billy the Kid Scenic Byway and its sights, Weed World (weird) and the Valley of Fire State Park (not great). The Corner Market, Anaheim Jack’s and Downshift Brewery were good for lunch. We shopped at Albertsons (wine selection. Good) and Mario’s (south of town) for really good steaks. Weather was fabulous.

Peaceful stay

We stayed here to get some R&R from Albuquerque and celebrate my 39th birthday. Dennis was so accommodating and they had great suggestions/directions in the home book. The hot tub was prestine. We all slept comfortably and had all we needed to cook a couple great meals. Thank you for the great stay!

Northern Star Ruidoso

Everything from the description, to the communication, to the cleanliness was superb. Location was great — far enough from traffic and noise, yet close enough for 10 min drive into town for restaurants or shopping.Great walking area around the cabin to really take in the Mountain View’s. Hot tub in the evening with the cold winter air was awesome!! Definitely recommend this cabin and would rent it again!!

Nice Getaway

We really enjoyed our time here at the Northern Star Cabin. We used the hot tub every single day. Sometimes twice a day. Beds were comfy and I enjoyed falling asleep by the gas log fireplace each night. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice getaway!

The property was very easy to get to and close to lots of places to eat or just to do activities. Good quiet area. Cabin in very pretty, clean, and has everything you need for your stay. Host let us know if we needed anything to contact him. No issues

Peaceful

This cabin was so clean and a perfect location. Close to a walking trail and close enough to be able to drive to town. Has everything you need in it! This was my first time using Vrbo (I usually a different booking service) and they did not have the pet option to add when I booked the place. The host was super kind and helped me add it on! There is a $40 pet fee. Hot tub was perfect. :)

Great Stay!

Right from the start, the host was very communicative and friendly. The property far exceeded our expectations. The house was very clean and had everything we could ask for. The location was great considering we had pets with immediate access to undeveloped areas. This also yielded amazing wildlife views right outside our windows. We would definitely book this property again!

Nice getaway

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and even saw elk and a wild horse in the mornings. We enjoyed the hot tub and quiet location. It was close to town and easy to find. It took a few minutes to understand the heaters but we got it running and warmed up. The floor plan is different: the ground floor has bedrooms and bathrooms then upstairs to get to living room and kitchen and another set of stairs leads to an office/loft space with couches and chairs. It’s a little older but had WiFi and Roku tv and any necessities we needed were provided. Overall, a great getaway and place to stay!

23rd wedding anniversary

Cabin was wonderful. Heating and AC. Very well equipped kitchen. Smart TVs in every room that are easy to use. Walked outside to deer one morning but did not have phone in hand for pictures. Plenty of room and a ton of space for sitting and visiting. We’ll be back. Thank you Dennis for the great communication and again a great place to stay.

The cabin to stay at in Ruidoso

My family and I stayed here during a weekend baseball tournament. I must say...it was clean, quaint, quiet and comfy. The hosts were excellent at communicating and thought of everything. They make it easy, so you can enjoy your stay stress-free. Although we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, we really enjoyed our evening in the hot tub. Seeing the Deer/Doe made it extra special. We would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend the Northstar. Thank you Dennis and Donna.

Cool temps & Hot tub

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Norther Star. The hot tub & fire pit were AMAZING! We had great WiFi and television reception. The amenities were more than adequate. The host was gracious to inform us about stairs. We navigated them with little difficulty. The cabin was clean and easy to access upon arrival. Great dining nearby and several grocery stores for food items. Thank you for a relaxing, cool and rainy vacay.

Enjoyable Stay at Northstar

During our one stay at Northstar, we found the property exactly as described in Vrbo. It was well and thoughtfully supplied with everything we could possibly have needed to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. We would highly recommend it and intend to return there again in the future.
