Cute Cabin but Filthy

As soon as you opened the door of the cabin there was an off putting smell but we figured we would leave the doors open and it would air out. In the kitchen the pot holders were obviously dirty but I figured it wasn't a big deal maybe just an over sight by the cleaning crew. Then slowing we started noticing more things that just looked dirty, from the bottom of the shower curtain(not to mention the smell of the shower curtain), to the spider webs on decor through out the cabin, and to the mouse running around the living room at night. We even purchased sticky mouse traps to try help out the staff since they are apparently having a hard time keeping up.As disturbing at the mice situation was, the thing that upsets me the most is that when we got home my little 6 year old daughters HAIR smelled like mold! I ended up washing her hair three times trying to get the smell out and it still had a faint odor after all of that!i also noticed a mildew/mold smell on all of our clothes/blankets that we had in the cabin. We only live 3hours from there so it's not like our laundry was sitting around forever getting moldy before we got home. I started Laundry right after we got home and ended up having to wash everything twice. So I would not recommend staying here!

Cabin very clean, beds super comfy, fully stocked and everything including hot tub worked as it should. The only thing that I kind of did not like would have been the cabin is situated so that you have to walk down about 15-20 steps down from the elevated parking area.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was exactly what we hoped for! It was new and impeccably clean. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked. The beds were super comfy. The location was close and convenient to all the local spots while still being tucked away into a beautiful setting. We will definitely be back!

Friends Getaway!

We had a fantastic time! The house was perfect! Though we didn't watch television because we couldn't find the remote that turned on the tv, it was well worth it! Probably a good thing that we didn't have it! Lol!! The location was perfect for everything.

Great Few Days

Great escape for the weekend! The house is so cute and decorated really nicely, the fireplace was our favorite. The patio does over see a few neighbors but is really nice. The house is well equipped and close to many things!

Great location and quiet

We went for a few days just to be in the mountains. This place was great. It was quiet there and we had wildlife in the area every morning to enjoy. It was also close enough to town that you could run out to grocery store or shop and still run back to house if you forgot something. The best part was when you were there it felt like you were not that close to town. Other thing we liked as there were three beds. It was perfect for our getaway!!

Very cute and clean!

We loved our stay here! It’s a quaint little cabin and was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean and the beds were super comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed also. Not a far drive from downtown and all the local hot spots.

They always say it's the little things that matter the most...

...and it really showed with not only the amenities, but also the excellent preparation of this cabin. My family and I had a wonderful experience on our weekend getaway and the attention to detail was very evident with this beautiful cabin. When I plan to visit Ruidoso, NM again, I will be looking to see if this cabin is available. I've already recommended it for one of my best friends and his family.

Deer and Elk oh my!

The Stay Above cabin was cozy and perfect for our family of 3. I was trying to find a place with no or few stairs for our toddler and this cabin had just enough for her to practice on but not too many for us to worry. ❤️ We enjoyed having coffee on the deck and seeing deer and elk everyday of our visit! Great hiking nearby especially at Lake Grindstone. Lauren was a very responsive and helpful host.
