"Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect."

"We had a lovely peaceful stay for our wedding anniversary and fishing so a great central location.. I second other guests that The Crown in Lea is a lovely place to enjoy food too.. we also had a takeaway from the Chinese in Ross which was generous and tasty…The accommodation is very pleasant and clean .. it suited us and was very comfortable..we would definitely book again"

"Wonderful short break in the Forest on the green, shared with the grazing sheep and chickens! Property superb and all as listed with the owner extremely personable and attentive and could not do enough for us when we arrived late on a Sunday looking for dinner! We would have no hesitation in recommending this cosy cottage as a great base for your adventures in the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley and we look forward to returning again one day."

"Roy was an exceptional host, he was very informative about how to get to the property as the sat nav was a little bit unreliable. He showed us around the hut with all the facilities that were available. The hut had everything u could possible need. It was beautiful and relaxing and I cannot fault it at all. "Perfect little bolt hole with lovely countryside views. Ideally posiitoned for walks in the forest (5 minute walk from the door to the forest) and down to Symmonds Yat. Paul was a great host, very friendly and accommodating. Everything was super clean in the 'pigsty'. Definitely a funky place to stay. Would definitely go again!"

Relaxing while sun was setting . Host was fabulous, helped me with all things I needed while away. Will definitely be returning! "
