    Welcome to TERRACOTTA, a pastel-coloured cocoon nestled on Rue Saint-Denis, in the heart of Rouen. As soon as you arrive, you are enveloped in a soft and soothing atmosphere: terracotta and powdery colours blend with tasteful décor to create a true refuge in the city. Completely refurbished in November 2025, this 38 m² one-bedroom flat welcomes you on the first floor of a residence with a lift, at the foot of the Omnia cinema and a stone's throw from the cathedral, shops and restaurants.

    As you push open the door, you discover a cosy living room where you'll want to slow down and settle in. A dining area awaits you for breakfast or dinner for four, while a comfortable sofa, which can be converted into an extra bed (linen and bedding available for the second bed on request from our concierge service at an additional cost of €12), faces the television for your relaxing evenings. The light glides along the pastel walls and gives the place a soft atmosphere, conducive to rest after a day of work or sightseeing.

    Opening onto the living room, the fully equipped kitchen allows you to live in complete autonomy: an oven, microwave, refrigerator, Senseo coffee machine, kettle and toaster are at your disposal to prepare coffee when you wake up, an aperitif tray or a full meal. Everything has been designed to make you feel at home here, whether you're staying for a few days or longer.

    The separate bedroom, decorated in terracotta tones, features a 160x200 cm bed that you won't want to leave. A wardrobe allows you to store your belongings and settle in comfortably, whether you're travelling for business or on a romantic getaway. A baby cot is also available in the accommodation if needed. The modern and functional shower room includes a WC and a washing machine, which is very handy for longer stays. Ironing equipment is also available. Bed linen and towels are provided so you can travel light.

    Although there is no private parking attached to the accommodation, you can park your vehicle in the surrounding streets, subject to the rates charged by the city of Rouen. Once you've parked your car, everything can be done on foot: stroll through the medieval streets, admire the half-timbered facades, head to the banks of the Seine or treat yourself to a film at the Omnia cinema right at the foot of the building.

    Your stay is supervised by the L'ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 21:00 to answer your questions and assist you. To finalise your booking and obtain the access codes for the accommodation, you will be asked to provide your bank details via a secure link. We thank you for taking care of TERRACOTTA and respecting the neighbourhood so that everyone can enjoy the peace and quiet of the place.

    If you wish to prolong your stay, it is possible, subject to availability and prior agreement from our team, to benefit from an early arrival or late departure. A single fee of €10 applies for this option, which is ideal for enjoying the soft, pastel atmosphere of TERRACOTTA, your pied-à-terre in the heart of Rouen, until the very last moment.

    The Cathedral district in Rouen is one of the most iconic and historic areas of the city. Dominated by the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral, this neighbourhood is a real architectural and cultural treasure, where every street tells a part of Rouen's history.

    The nerve centre of the neighbourhood, the Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral is famous for its impressive façade, made even more famous by Claude Monet's series of paintings. It also houses the tomb of Richard the Lionheart.

    The streets around the cathedral are cobbled and lined with half-timbered houses, typical of Norman architecture. You will find many antique shops, craft boutiques and charming cafés.

    Not far from the cathedral, Le Gros-Horloge is one of the symbols of Rouen. This astronomical clock, installed on an arch, dates from the 14th century and is a living testimony to the history of the city.

    The Cathedral district is lively throughout the year, but retains a quiet charm thanks to its small streets and squares where it is pleasant to stroll. The atmosphere is steeped in history, and every street corner seems to tell a legend from Rouen's past.

    Residents of the neighbourhood enjoy privileged access to a variety of restaurants, shops and services, while living in the heart of an exceptional architectural heritage. In addition, numerous cultural events, such as markets, concerts and exhibitions, regularly enliven the neighbourhood.

    ## Transport

    The flat is located opposite the Halle aux Toiles car park in Rouen, right in the city centre and close to many public transport links.

    1. Bus
    Rouen has a bus network managed by Astuce (the public transport network of the Métropole Rouen Normandie). Several lines pass near the Halle aux Toiles, particularly around nearby stations such as those located on Rue de la République. The main lines are: 8, 11, F1, F2 (frequent service).

    2. Metro
    The Rouen metro is also accessible nearby:
    Théâtre des Arts station: about a 5-minute walk away. This station serves both metro lines (T1 and T2) which cross Rouen from north to south.

    3. TEOR (Transport Est-Ouest Rouennais)
    The TEOR network is a kind of ‘dedicated bus lane’, operating like a tramway on certain parts of the city. The TEOR lines also pass near the Halle aux Toiles.
    TEOR lines T1, T2, T3: The Théâtre des Arts station is 5 minutes away, and the TEOR line provides quick access to different districts of Rouen and its surroundings.

    4. Bicycle
    Rouen has a self-service bicycle system called Cy'clic. There are several Cy'clic stations near the Halle aux Toiles car park.

    5. Car (private hire vehicles and taxis)
    Taxi and private hire vehicle services (Uber, etc.) are available in the city. There are often taxi ranks around the Place du Vieux Marché and the city centre.

    6. On foot
    As the Halle aux Toiles car park is located in the historic city centre, many of Rouen's iconic sites are within walking distance: the Place du Vieux Marché, the Rue du Gros-Horloge, Rouen Cathedral, etc.

    These different options allow you to get around quickly and easily from your accommodation.

    ## Notes

    Please note that the building has a lift and the flat is located on the first floor. Access is easy for people who have difficulty climbing stairs or those carrying large suitcases.

    Check-in is via Maître des clefs de l'ArchiDuchesse from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and check-out must be completed by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.

    The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.). In the house, all our guests receive linen, essential items for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand gel, toilet paper, etc.) as well as one large towel per person, tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit with kitchen bin bags, bathroom bin bags, a sponge and washing-up liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.

    We are committed to providing a pleasant experience, however, please note that we are not a hotel service. Mid-stay cleaning, linen/towel refreshment, replenishment of essential items, or delivery can be arranged on request at an additional cost. When you confirm your stay, you will receive the ArchiDuchesse tourist booklet, our tips with promotional codes from our selected partners, and the arrival instructions for your accommodation.

Great apartment, great location.

If the elevator had been working, this would be a 5* review all round. Good apartment facilities, great shower, very clean and comfortable. The hosts are helpful and quick to respond. Will definitely consider this for our next visit to Rouen.
