I messaged the host after our stay (9 days prior to this review) to respond to our concerns. They haven't responded at all. So I've explained our ratings
Cleanliness - black mould and soap scum in both bathrooms. And mouldy curtains
Check in - followed up multiple times b4 check in as I had not received instructions/heard from them at all.
Accuracy of listing - no fireplace even though it was listed (and still is) as fireplace is broken awaiting parts.
Communication - both having to chase them before we checked in and then no comms since we stayed.
Location and area - was great for us as was close to the event we were attending.
Overall rating - this also includes when we arrived there was no working fridge. There were towels down so the host was presumably aware there was an issue and had not sorted an alternative solution or advised us in advance of this. We ended up wasting food because we didn't have a fridge.
We are part of a sports community that travels around the country so we use rentals quite a lot. Our group probably travels out of Wellington at least once a month, so we have a lot of experience with using rental facilities.
All in all, we felt that we spent a significant amount of money to rent this place. And to have no fridge and unclean bathrooms, let alone having to spend more to accommodate for not having a fridge, is not something anyone should have to contend with.
That the host hasn't responded at all speaks volumes. Don't stay here! Would give 0 stars
