We really enjoyed our month stay in August at Hatheway Haven. The house is very comfortable and backs onto the golf course which was both peaceful and great for walks in the evenings. We also really enjoyed hanging out on the back deck, listening to the wind in the trees, as the weather was perfect-about 8-10 degrees cooler than down in the valley.
There are 2 master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) and a 3rd bedroom with a bathroom next to it upstairs. The house is set up really well for family gatherings. The kitchen is well equipped and very functional. The laundry room, mud room, garage, deck, and all the extra room we had were very nice. It was also nice to have a gas grill and thoughtful that there was an extra propane tank.
There is a foosball table upstairs, a lot of board games and a large selection of DVDs. We also had Wi-Fi throughout the house. There are many hiking trails in Wintergreen, the AT and old AT are right there, and we drove to Piney River to bike on the Blue Ridge Railway Trail which was also very nice. Plus there are breweries, wineries, distilleries, etc. all around including the Devils Backbone Brewery which is close by, with good food and beverages. Also don’t miss Sweet Bliss bakery in Nellysford, next to the IGA, behind Chirios - great desserts, sandwiches.
Gina Marie and their property manager Josh were both very good prompt and responsive with communicating with us. Highly recommend staying here!
