Great location but big neative was when I stripped the bed the mattress was SEVERELY STAINED with pee. Very surprised that this hasn't been taken care of as beds are stripped after each stay. So they knew it was there and put a sheet on and let me sleep on it?

Perfect house for a Thanksgiving celebration with my family! Large living room with views of the woods and beautiful sunsets. The only recommendation I have is to bring folding chairs with you if you have more than 6 in your party and want to eat together. A beautiful and comfortable home - will definitely stay here again!

What a great space and location! The kids loved the air hockey table. We appreciated the spare gas when the tank ran out while grilling. Could’ve used a more thorough clean preceeding arrival, there were a ton of dead bees throughout the house and deck looked untouched. Would’ve appreciated more towels and sufficient toiletries.We hope to visit again sometime.

Winterhaven

Great house. Lots of room. 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. 2 fireplaces. Large couches in living room and basement. Easy check-in. Nice large kitchen with all pots, pans, dishes, etc. Laundry facility. My only complaint was the grill was dirty and we were unable to grill out.

Excellent. Washer worked but dryer was broken and in there are rust spots showing in dryer drum. Property manager did give us head up on dryer acting up.

Awesome for family ski trip!

Our family loved this place! It was perfect for our family and spacious enough to give us room to spread out! We loved the little touches like having night lights (which I forgot to pack) and fully stocked bathrooms (shampoo/body wash) and laundry supplies to use. Felt like we were staying at a friends house. Super close to the slopes and easy accessible driveway and entrance for my dad who needed them.

Just AHHHmazing

We stayed at Winterhaven over the MLK holiday weekend. This is a trip we do to different ski resorts every year. There are 3 families and this place was large enough to accomodate all of our needs...we even had 2 other families join us for the football game on Sunday and there was plenty of room for all. The host had wonderful communication and was very prompt with responses. The home was perfect with its 2 different sitting areas. The adults were able to enjoy a space and the kids had their own place to hang (on separate floors). Each bedroom had it's own bathroom which is always a must have with our group. The house was well equipped and stocked with plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. In fact, this rental has been, by far, the most well stocked rental we've had....and we've had a lot. The location was perfect for hitting up Wintergreen Resort for skiing. It did sleet/snow/freezing rained during our trip and the driveway did get a little slick, but we put the kids to work with the shovels to clean off the driveway a little!!! They had to earn their keep!!! The only complaint were the beds were a little on the hard side and I would recommend some mattress toppers. Otger than that, PERFECTION. I would highly recommend Neal and his Winterhaven retreat!!

Family Thanksgiving was wonderful in this beautiful, well appointed home. Beautiful setting and convenient location. Common spaces were perfect for allowing us all gather together.

Cousins’ Weekend!

We had a lovely time staying here! Perfect communal space while also giving us enough room to have our own individual spaces as well. Everything was clean and exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely be planning to stay here again!

Wow! What a House!

Our group of 8 were ladies who graduated 54 years ago. This is a yearly gathering. The house was very warm and inviting. The house very clean as were the bathrooms. The house is nestled in among mature trees so you don't even see the neighbors - felt we were sleeping in a tree house. The linens were great as were the towels, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed.

Great summer escape

Very well-designed and equipped home that our extended family fully enjoyed. High enough to escape the worst of late July heat at home. Nearby trails and abundant wildlife complement the availability of outdoor sports nearby. We have added to our return list.

Great Mountain House

We rented this house to stay in during our daughters wedding weekend. It was perfect for us with 5 bedrooms! It had everything we needed. Owner was very responsive. Would rent it again.

Ski Weekend

This home exceeded our expectations in every way from the reservation point up to check out. The views were amazing as were the finishings in the home and easily met the needs of our eleven person party including several young children. The host was very responsive to our questions about activities, food suggestions, etc. We highly recommend this home as it has a fantastic location, was well equipped and was welcoming in many ways!

Family Christmas memories

The stay was amazing, and the Cabin is beautiful, would definitely stay here again. I would say that due to the position of the cabin on the mountain, retractable shades be installed on the glass side of the cabin for the afternoon sun, it shines in your face when you're trying to enjoy the fireplace and TV, other than a couple of lights being out and fire detectors beeping, the stay was amazing!!!
